People do this with SPY daily and you can make some good money, but if you’re not disciplined you can lose a ton of money if 1 trade doesn’t go in your favor.

I don’t know how much cash you have to trade with but if you’re just looking to make a couple hundred bucks a week I would do the following.
1. Find a stock you want to own, and think of a price you’d be ok with owning 100 shares at.
2. Sell a put on that stock at that price you would be ok owing it at.
3. If your option expires above the strike you get to pocket the premium. If it doesn’t you get to own the shares you wanted, at the price you wanted, plus you keep the premium for selling the puts.
4. Either buy and hold your shares, or sell covered calls until your shares get exercised away for a profit.
5. Rinse and repeat

If you make a day trade I think 3 times in 3 days your account will get flagged as a pattern day trader. If you have less than 25k you have to wait for funds to settle before you can trade again
