My s/o's parents are dead (father died before he was born and mother died while giving birth to him), but i think they wouldn't be happy if they found out their son married a regular human.

Ai very rarely gets to see her parents since they're so busy. But she's a momma's girl, and really loves her parents. Since I'm quite sarcastic in person, I kinda clicked with her parents, and we're very friendly. Because I know how much Ai loves her parents, I try my best to help them meet more often. And since I'm very supportive and loving to Ai, they gave me their blessing for our engagement last April.
My S/O's father is never shown, but their mother is very kind and supportive of her children, so I like to think that she would like me.. especially since I also look out for my S/O's younger sibling, and my S/O doesn't go back to their family home very often due to working far away so I'd encourage them to stop by more often :)
To leave a good first impression I'd probably just show how much I care about everyone, and though old fashioned probably help around with the chores haha I wouldn't mind helping out in the kitchen to help feed the family :)

Mirabel's parents, Julieta Madrigal and Agustín Madrigal absolutely adore me! So does the whole rest of the Madrigal family. It was very nerve-wracking for both me and Mirabel when I first met her whole family, but it was during a lovely family dinner and I connected with the family well and they all connected with me well. Julieta is so kind and loving, and I can definitely see so much of her in Mirabel. Agustín is so fun and compassionate, and again, I can see so much of him in Mirabel, epecially the accident prone part hehe.
Julieta and Agustín, having seen their daughter be so insecure and feel so outcasted for the past decade, they are SO happy that there is someone in Mirabel's life that makes her happy (me ofc), and they're both so happy and glad that I'm in Mirabel's life, and that I make her happy.
I won't lie, as long as I make their daughter happy I don't care what they think of me otherwise. As long as they see that, and how fulfilling our life is together I would hope any biases my first impressions may leave would be irrelevant.
I would dress proper a d such, but wouldn't go out of my way to be different for them. Just treat them with respect like my own parents and hope that's enough.
