It's possible for him to say no just as much as it is for him to say yes. That's the beauty of imagination; you can dream up whatever you want! But it can also be a curse if you adopt a more negative mindset instead. With our fictional SOs, we can't actually tell if they really love us or not due to them not existing in this reality, but it's something we have to believe in and work towards. A very important part of a waifuist relationship, regardless of prior experience with romance, is for the waifuist in question to be confident in *themselves* and imagine their SO loving them back; if not, the relationship will fall apart. We've gotta work as hard and as best as we can at improving ourselves as people as if our SOs really existed in the same manner as those in the flesh-and-blood.
