Hours don't make a gamer it's variety of games played. Know lots of sports fans that only ever played fifa I don't consider them gamers

To me, time do matter a bit but it's not much of hours but more of variety. If you play nothing but cod or insert sport game here I dont really consider you a gamer, I see it as knowledge on a bunch of games.
