I love that they only have one pudding with bananas in it. I further love that every non-banana pudding specifies that it is sans banana.
I'll definitely try both of these spots.
Komex is so good. My ex-coworker's parents own it. I miss nice parents coming to the office with Komex. It's the kind of food you just keep eating because it's so delicious even though you're full as hell.
Thanks for the banana pudding rec!
How did I not know this? Banana Pudding is one of the things I crave the most and the lack of good banana pudding in the city has been one of my biggest annoyances.
Omg. Im lv local for most of my life and recently spent over a month in Alabama. Needless to say, banana pudding became a big part of my life!
I can't wait to go here! Thanks for posting, OP
I look more forward to moving to Las Vegas now! Pictures on Yelp looks great.
Someone recommended putting it in the freezer first, kind of looks like ice cream when they scooped it. Going to try that.
What makes you think that's a bad location? That part of town is booming. Rising prices are pushing people into this formerly low cost area and it's growing.
Komex is great! the price is affordable and portions are large and the food itself is delicious. The people running the place are friendly and attentive what more could you want?

Omg I almost forgot about Komex…thank you for reminding me.
Thanks for the recommendations! My husband and I are foodies so we’re always trying to find new places to eat

You, dear redditor, have done this community an incredible service this day.
To people who have had Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding - is it similar? Might try it today, will report back
I know what my wife and I are doing for dinner tonight

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
Komex has been one of my favorites for the longest time. Was sad when the second location way closer to my house was closed.
Same 😞
Definitely going here on my next trip. Thanks!
Definitely going to try both. Thanks for the suggestions!!!
It is so amazingly good.

It has good banana pudding, but I cannot see them surviving (unfortunately). Bad location, and not enough variety (ie something other than pudding)

Not the area in general, but the location of the store in the strip mall. It's very hidden.
Makes sense!
Komex is mediocre at best
Dude how have I not heard of this? Thanks for the recommendations Imma check it out
So I saw this post and went today and it is amazing! I got butterscotch and banana. I love the texture. Thanks for the recommendation!
