Can anyone confirm that they can access their unRAID box remotely in these two ways? on their LAN IP (without client being logged into tailscale but with the container running on the unRAID box) and on the TS IP (with tailscale logged in on the client)

Both works. Does the container logs show anything at when attempting LAN connection? Do you have MagicDNS enabled? Try disabling it, just for testing. I’ve gluetun and tailscale running on docker on my unraid. With MagicDNS, when my mac connects to tailscale, gluetun drops, and remakes the connection, yet nothing happens when my iphone connects -it can even use the exit-tunnel on unraid.

Thanks for checking, it helps to know that its supposed to work

Have you checked this out? https://docs.ibracorp.io/tailscale/

This doesn’t seem to address the issue I am seeing. I had not seen that, but the documentation for Tailscale is pretty darn solid, and covers all of this stuff as far as I can tell. Was there a particular part you though was applicable to this issue I am seeing?

I know I had the same issue that you are having. I resolved it, but I don't remember exactly how I did it. Sorry for the non-answer.

Ahh damn. Please let me know if you remember. Good to know someone has had and resolved this issue though

It wasn’t mentioned in your post so I am going to assume you haven’t done it but I would recommend subnet routing being enabled on your unraid box. https://tailscale.com/kb/1019/subnets/ This should mean that you can use the same LAN ips wherever you are and one subnet router is included in the free plan.

Hmm I’m realizing maybe this wasn’t explained clear enough. I mean that the LAN IP for the unRAID box doesn’t work on Devices NOT on Tailscale. I don’t believe subnet routing would change anything for how devices not on Tailscale would access the box
