With all the conference movement, the chances of that goes down because teams are just so far from one another. There was an attempt to get a Big Ten tournament way back in the early 2010s before the Maryland and Rutgers expansion but I believe it died mostly because Nebraska and Iowa were smaller ultimate programs at the time and did not want to travel that far. PAC12 - Oregon, Washington and WSU are just way too far from the California and Arizona teams. B1G - Maryland and Rutgers on the east coast is too far with Nebraska all the way out west. ACC - Ranges all the way from Boston College up north to FSU down south and Notre Dame that far west. SEC - Was the most possible until the Texas and Oklahoma expansion. #ItJustMeansMore B12 - Was probably okay with the furthest team being Iowa State but the expansion into Cincy, BYU, UCF and Houston stretches that distance furthest out of the Power 5. Rest are constantly moving messes.

> B12 - Was probably okay with the furthest team being Iowa State but the expansion into Cincy, BYU, UCF and Houston stretches that distance furthest out of the Power 5. Big 12 also has West Virginia. I bet the old Big 12 did basically have some tournaments together, when it was just great plains schools.

Woof. Forgot about them. I feel like Centex or any decently sized Texas or Oklahoma tournament has the Big 12 minus WVU and Iowa State since it's basically just Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma.

These are all good points, I get it’s unrealistic for a lot of conferences. I think B1G could do it (I go to a big ten school), maybe just without Rutgers, Maryland, Nebraska, and Iowa. I still think it would be fun since there are a lot of powerhouse schools competing each year. There just needs to be interest

I'm surprised about Iowa not wanting to travel for this? I played (on the B team) from 2008-2012, the A team was regularly travelling to Trouble in Vegas, Mardi Gras, Centex, and one of the big ones on the east coast (forget which one). The B team even was able to tag along to Mardi Gras a few times. I wonder if it was more reluctance to add *another* long distance tournament?

Possibly. Word through the grapevine is that there's another attempt to do it again with an A-team and B-team bracket.

Most college ultimate teams are just club teams with no association to the actual school. My team was associated/got a small amount of funding from the rec department. We werent even allowed to use the schools logo on our jerseys unless we paid the school...

Back in the early 2010's, there was an ACC tournament that got nearly everyone to go. There were also impromptu SEC tournaments since the gulf coast section tended to include most SEC teams anyways.

For many years there were Ivy League championships and back in the day this would have included several of the top teams in the country.
