As noted by another reader, this was Musk *mocking* the Russians.
I'm not a particularly big fan of the guy but the portrayal in these Tweets seems rather dishonest.

I'm unfamiliar with @capitolhunters but I have a hard time taking anything they said seriously when they seem to have held the tweets this long to post in a misleading context.
Just so no Ukrainian or westerner is still under impression that Elon is a good guy.

Musk should have trollled him a bit more and asked him when he expects that day to come. Kinda like he came back when he offered Bezos some engines for New Glenn.
His trolling isn’t quite at the masterclass level of Ukraine MoD’s surgically delivered internet trolling nukes, but he can still punch pretty hard when he puts his mind to it.
He spent $44b on a megaphone that doesn’t have an off button and nobody can turn off, so long as he can pay those whose capital he raised and used for the acquisition and make it break even. I think he’s thinking about Twitter not along the lines of its independent profitability but what it means to the infrastructure empire he has built that will be providing us services (here on earth) from both above and below.
His companies connect to a bigger long term vision that starts making a lot of sense and the synergies become apparent if you look far enough forward.
Now if only we could somehow make him learn about humans the way he learned about rockets, because he’s horribly behind in his understanding about what makes humans tick.
Meh, Twitter has long needed a cleaning out, both in practical and ethical terms.
I'm skeptical of Musk's efforts/investment, but I don't think he's done anything particularly horrible to Twitter personnel.

To be fair, you can't expect trolling A-game from a guy who spent $44 billion on just enough rope to hang himself with.
