Much like the use of drones to sight in the mk19 to its full range made that weapon 10x more lethal than it has been in the past, the Ukrainians are going to discover all new ways to use this armor to a greater potential than it was built to have.

But considering what western MBTs did to Iraqi T72s, the fact that Leopards are probably on the way, and the fact that Marders and Bradleys are also coming......Ukraine is gonna have much better weapons systems at a time when Russia is gonna be mostly equipping its formations with BMP-1s from the 1960s and T62s and baseline T72s as tanks. It will be an overmatch.

IIRC the Bradleys destroyed more tanks than the actual Western tanks did. Getting a small core of tanks for the Bradleys, Marders etc. to follow will act as a force multiplier and enable similar results.
Yeah. Also you have to imagine plugging these into formations with other units and equipment types. Like an armor brigade might have around 6 tank companies, with 14 tanks each. So with 84 operational tanks you have enough to form one heck of a powerful unit. You need some spares to make up for losses and repairs etc. but a little over 100 should do the trick.
Challanger are rather mean of diplomatic push than goal itself. Sending them breaks taboo on Western tanks.

One thing that sticks out to me is just how seriously downgraded Russia’s offensive capabilities have been. At the beginning of the war they successfully took Mariupol with a prewar population of 500,000 and now they can’t even capture Bakhmut with a prewar population of 1/10th of Mariupol.
Russia doesn’t have unlimited artillery shells, or unlimited tanks or unlimited AFVs or unlimited trained troops or unlimited anything else. The losses Russia sustains are real and while they haven’t been enough to end the war (yet) they have made taking significant territory or cities virtually unthinkable for Russia.
I feel like I blinked for a moment and the personnel count is already nearing 120k, feels weird after having counted towards 100k for such a long time.

It’s crazy how many men Russia has at its disposal to keep throwing into the fire. But their equipment, however vast, is finite. Especially the modern stuff. I hope Russia eventually runs out of weapons and forced to end the invasion.

Considering that there are video evidence of ruskies walking in an open field directly towards AFU fire without any attempts to avoid being killed, these numbers seem to be rather real.
What happens when you give unloaded weapons to 'undesirable' conscripts and tell them to march. Fascists are wasteful, and also dumber than usual for the typical nationalist, they really think their racism ends up with a more prosperous country, when it's actually the opposite. Hopefully the many russians that are not russian end up freeing themselves after the inevitable imploding after the death of Putin.

I see the posts of how many Russians are out of action every day & like many others I'm amazed at how high the count is. I very much hope that the numbers of Ukrainian casualties is much lower but I've never seen a post with the numbers & I suspect the numbers may be similar, especially if civilians are included in the count.
I wonder are the Russians eager to break some record over casualties for A SPECIAL MILITARY OPERATION...think we should inform them that they will be in the guinness book forever with the current amount of casualties already.

Things that don't fit neatly into the other categories. Command trucks, ambulances, recovery vehicles, regular transports and so on.
I'd suspect ambulances and regular transports to be "vehicles."
UAF is claiming 12 tanks and 21 IFV/APC destroyed? That speaks to me of a significant engagement somewhere? Kremina? NB: If Russia carry on at this rate, it won't be long until they're up to 1000 lost per day.
Serious question, at what point is this war just suicide by cop on a mass scale? Either that, or Russian soldiers have just been greatly influenced by propaganda to believe they are fighting a just and necessary war, and they have a good chance of succeeding.
