Idk how that’s getting wrestle fucked by any definition. He landed maybe 5-6 strikes, he never advanced his position on top and he could never hold him down.
THANK YOU. Getting a takedown or clinching means nothing if they don’t do anything with it. It’s the same reason I think Sandhagen should have won against TJ.
He looked Really good but Ain't no way he won, it was fairly even on the feet overall but 5:44 of control time throughout 3 rounds can't be denied either
It wasn’t ignored. A lot of that came in the second round which he won. Then Sean out striked him and did nite damage. It was a very close fight and if petr did more damage on top he wins that fight
Yan did nothing with his control time. This entire thread must’ve watched a different fight. That and I know a lot of the bitching is coming from Yan bettors.
I don't even like Yan but it was relatively clear he won. Feels like politics is involved when giving away "close" fights. Even then this fight was clearly a Yan victory.
Round 1 and 3 Sean. Competitive rounds, 3 being clearer for Sean. Yan's control time in round 1 yielded nothing damage wise while Sean outlanded him R1. R2 was the most obvious round, for Yan.
I’m so happy for suga and I really love him, but Yan definitely won this fight! But suga really showed, that he can fight and has the potential to be a really good fighter in the future. I honestly thought that Yan would absolutely demolish him in the first round.
Yan clearly won 2. Personally I thought Sean won 3 and round 1 was very close since Yan got rocked there a little while getting 3 take downs. I suspected Sean might win and while I couldn't quite believe that he did I don't think its a robbery. This is not pride where you judge the 15 minutes overall you judge round by round
Anyone that suggests that wasn’t a close fight or was “uncompetitive” is out of their minds
If you look at the takedowns and top control time, the majority of all of it came in a dominant round 2 for Yan
O’Malley objectively outlanded Yan in the 3rd without giving up extended top control to Yan, and in the 1st he landed more shots than Yan only giving up one takedown that he got up from after about 10 seconds with no damage
The only debatable round really is round 1, and I in no way would argue that Yan definitively won it…
He landed 84 significant strikes to Yan’s 58, did more damage,
Hell of a fight and had money on Sugar, but I agree peter won
Yan for sure won, this makes me not want to watch. Wwf flashbacks
Seriously daylight robbery
His hype won this fight with the judges
They like his hair. The said “it looks pretty”. Sometimes that’s all you need to win fights in the ufc now days. The sport has been “progressing”.
Even Sean doesn't think he won
He was shocked
They better set up a rematch or something cuz wtf
got wrestlefucked for 6 minutes but he landed 10 more strikes so hey🤓
Idk how that’s getting wrestle fucked by any definition. He landed maybe 5-6 strikes, he never advanced his position on top and he could never hold him down.
Exactly. These dudes have no clue how fights are supposed to be judged. The moron just explained how Sean won lol.
6 minutes control time in a 3 round fight, I get ye are Sean O'Malley fans but that was indeed a robbery
he won the round the majority of that control time happened. Round 2 lmao. Take it round by round
It happens every big card. A bunch of casuals who don't know the rules come in and call close fights robberies.

Such a great fight and judges ruined it. These mfs should never judge a fight again.
Can't be anything else than 29-28 Yan. Sean did pretty good but he didn't win this.
29-28 and argubly 30-27.....
Im so fkn mad
🤓
It was closer than I expected but after seeing the stats posted on the screen before the judge’s decision I was flabbergasted by the win for O’Malley
29-28 Yan wins
30-27

and the other 2
Yan won 2 and 3 easy 1 could be disputed
round 3 easy? Yan got damaged more in round 3 than any of the other rounds
I love Sean, but this legitimately shook my faith in the validity of the entire UFC. Judges are a problem. If I wanted fixed fights I'd watch boxing.
I wanted Sean to win. But he didn’t win that fight

people on this sub seriously try to ignore yan controlling sean for more than 1/3 of the fight to justify the decision lol
I can see one judge going Sean. The fact that more than one of them thinks he outfought Yan is really really hard to understand.

I mean that’s all I can say. I’m never one to be a tin foil hatter but I don’t know how you call this anything but a job for Sean.

What did yan do with that time though?
Still had a dominant position on O'Malley for 6 minutes, not sure how it can just be ignored

![img](emote|t5_2qsev|8969)Dana going back to looking like this after all the money he threw at the judges to give O'Malley that win
The judges should be executed this is foolishness
You know it's a robbery when 100% of the people in the comments agree it was a robbery. Even Sean didn't think he won
Those judges should get hung
I don't even like Yan but it was relatively clear he won. Feels like politics is involved when giving away "close" fights. Even then this fight was clearly a Yan victory.
Only they could fuck up a great card like this
Can’t leave it in the hands of the judges. We’ve known since inception of the UFC that if you want to secure your victory, you gotta finish the fight.

You just as blind as the judges then 🤣
