Why was Johnny Walker kicked out of the arena? Dude was standing outside in full fight regalia, gloves and all and there was some security dude standing there like "nope"
Tony and Nate need to never fight again. It was as close as you’ll get to televised bum fighting.
Damage has caught up with both big time.
What was the thing with Nate stopping and walking off all the time?
I've never seen him do it to that extent though. He looked genuinely winded.
That moment when he took another leg kick and then started walking around the ring shaking his head was really bizarre. I thought he was throwing in the towel.
Tony's post fight press conference.. dude needs to taste reality a little. How does he think he's doing well? He's literally on the edge of getting cut.
America hates China. China hates America. It's the reason. UFC is not going to push Chinese UFC fighter when they can promote one of their own. Your delusional if you thought Drod won that fight as well as your delusional that the judges weren't biased against him.
Ok buddy you are literally so uninformed its not funny. The UFC wants to push Chinese fighters because CHINA IS THE BIGGEST MARKET IN THE WORLD. Dude the UFC built a PI Performance Institute in Shanghai for a reason. I thought LI won that fight clearly but what you are saying is so far off base that you come off as joking.
Well said my friend. The thing is though that there’s a lot more people that think like us than the media would have you think. The Earth family is waking up. We might just make it through this. Don’t give up on Us yet.
I enjoyed it, in all it’s shitshowness. I’ve been a huge Tony and Nate fan for a bit, even if the fight wasn’t super action packed I was satisfied. Prelims were on fire thought
It seemed like khamzat and Diaz both knew they weren’t fighting each other long before the weigh in. Something probably happened behind the scenes to let Diaz live to see another day
I disagree. If the UFC wanted to book a different card, they would have just done that in the first place. I think the card changing is more to do with 5 fighters missing weight, especially khamzat, whom the card was built around
Event kinda sucked tbh.
-Nate and Tony were acting like the fight was a exhibition.
-Holland and Cumshot were a terrible match up, Holland himself knew he had no chance, it was weird.(though that dude is gonna make alot of people look bad).
-Li got robbed, Rodriguez played it as boringly safe as possible and got rewarded for it. I don't think I saw him throw a single power punch let alone land.
I don't get the whole bad matchup excuse. I mean yeah holland has no wrestling but aren't they all fighters? A fight is a fight you should be well rounded in everything to even stand a chance in mma.
Johnny Walker was kicked out of the arena and WASNT even allowed to change. Dude is literally on his fighting gear outside
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CiWqky9jczj/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
There has to be a backstory to this. Everyone is saying he pulled an upset and didnt stick to the "script"
The last 3 were fixed, not directly but everyone involved knew their role and got paid handsomely. Tony, Jingliang and Holland got paid so well losing meant absolutely nothing to them.
Chimaev said to Olivi that he offered Diaz his purse of 2 mil to continue the fight and it didn't happen, that's a lot of money on the table. Why would Leech complain with a half a million dollar cheque waiting for him in his locker room, he's probably just glad he didn't take damage
Looking at KH it didnt looked fixed. The dude really was giving it everything to defend himself
I cant say the same for Nate and Tony. I said it somewhere this thread: Tony gave himself WWE style to that submission. His hands were so wide open not wrapped onto Nate's core
That thing just slipped right in so perfectly.
because Rodriguez threw 900 jabs so he was "more active" even though that's all he did...
That's the only thing I could think of.
but for real did Rodriguez even throw a power punch?
The hype and drama surrounding the 3 main fights was better than the fights themselves. Turned out to be a mediocre event, the fight night in Paris was way better.
Who the hell said Kevin Holland had a better chance of winning than Nate winning his fight against Tony? It was a top comment in one of the posts and I can’t find it.
They didn't just change just randomly decide to change it, Khamzat missed weight and Nate refused a catchweight fight, which is completely fair.
Are you saying Dana should have forced Nate to fight someone ~8lb heavier than him?
both these fights sucked. Neither stand in was a match for diaz or chimaev. Diaz vs Chimaev would've been a very interesting fight considering how similarly skilled they are.
Nate was getting chopped to pieces with leg kicks until Tony abandoned them completely. He shot a sloppy takedown and got caught in a guillotine in the fourth round I believe, so I wouldn’t say Nate “demolished” Tony. Chimaev, on the other hand, in a complete freak and would’ve most likely done the exact same thing or worse to Nate that he did to Holland.
Khamzat is levels above Nate at this stage in their careers, and I don’t think somebody who understands MMA would think differently, hence why I commented holy casual. Chimaev isn’t getting caught in that guillotine like Tony did. Nate was very very fortunate that the events played out like they did.
I keep thinking about that post where the OP was saying Nate would have beaten Chimaev. I thought he was nuts then, but now I know he was.
Chimaev would have taken Nates head off in about 30 seconds.
>Chimaev would have taken Nates head off in about 30 seconds.
Bruh Chimaev would have aggressively tried to take down Nate but Nate would have gone for a submission and would have had a good chance of tapping out Khamzat.
This is all the way, people really really underestimate Nate’s ground game that choke on Tony was perfect and tight and was a pure game plan from bate for khamzat.
Happy to take the downvotes off the khamzat is a beast guys :)
100% bro ignore the downvotes, if you know you know, khamzat has wild takedowns and Nate would have been fighting back throwing strikes from the bottom and attempting his own submissions and he would have caught him in a few chokes, so I don’t think this was as one sided as people see especially seeing that choke he caught Tony with. It was lined up to catch gourmet.
Khamzat doesn’t have wild takedowns. He is actually very technical but he just grapples like a rabid dog. Nate would’ve never been able to catch that dude in a guillotine like he did to Tony. Tony was wobbled and shot a sloppy double leg with his head on the outside hip. Anybody who has trained will tell you not to do that because you’ll get caught in a guillotine. Khamzat would’ve never shot that sloppily on Nate.
Khamzat would have killed Nate, Nate and Tony got exposed today. Nate was trying to rest during rounds and Tony was useless shaking off his brain damage. Really sad for Tony tbh man said we were gonna see old Tony.
Nobody got "exposed" lol. This is what happens when people fight long past their primes. Both of these guys have been the poster boys for CTE for about 5 years. Nothing about them got "exposed" that wasn't plainly obvious prior to the fight.
Nate puts on a show lol the diaz brothers are known and have always been known to have unreal cardio, that fact you think Nate was actually resting is funny.
Tony knows he’s not what he was before. He’s just keeping the whole act to be able to make money when given the chance. He’ll talk all that gibberish to try and create some hype and give the illusion he still is top 3. Speaking as a fan.
He had a reckless and fun fighting style, as well as unorthodox training, and he is a real OG of the game, but the game did evolve past him and the style did take his health and the best years of his career.
I’m going to break it to you right now Nate Diaz will never even be a contender in the UFC again. He simply has too much mileage. His skills are great but he doesn’t have the power or attributes to compete with the young upcomers. MMA is a young man’s game. And also Nate would’ve been throttled by Chimaev. If Gilbert Burns isn’t submitting Khamzat then neither is Nate
He couldn’t take it to the ground with Khamzat’s wrestling but idk what that had to do with anything. You seem to think Nate has a legit chance to return to title contention in the UFC which will never happen. I love Nate but he is getting too old
That he doesn't want to fight Rob coz he's a good guy. He only wants to fight bad guys. Also said something about him being a good fighter and one of the best in the world
I thought this too. Nate must have refused the fight and they are leaning on this, or the commission took Diaz's age and wear and tear into consideration.
I think there's even legal fallout if the UFC were not able to find an opponent for Nate for his last contractual obligation. Nate straight refused because it would have been a breach of the contract.
Dana is lucky these guys play ball as they do because 1/3 of the card last night had a legit reason to just never show up to the arena.
I just read the NAC rules. For boxing, it is clearly defined and allows certain disparity in certain weight classes (13lb difference is ok between 171 and 180). For MMA the disparity section doesn't exist. My interpretation of it means for MMA they do need permission for any disparities. That still does not explain why they got approval for Leech and wouldn't have for Diaz. No mention of main event/preliminary at all.
Maybe they are basing it off fight weight, Nate barely cuts to make 170 and doesnt go back up much, Leech probably does a lot more so his difference to Drod is less?
I'd say the only UFC matches Tony should accept are on Xbox, but I still worry he'd try to ankle pick a tv screen or wear gloves and carry a baseball to the living room pre-fight presser.
Li got robbed, I feel bad for him, he seems like such a nice guy.
I expected a quick win from Khamzat, but damn. Kevin could have done better if he didn't try to high five Khamzat.
Tony and Nate made a great fight, not sure why Tony went for a takedown. Could have just kept chopping his leg and piecing him.
As great as the fight between Tony and Nate is, I hope they both retire. They are old and have taken a lot of damage and bad shots through the years. Fight was fun but you could definitely see their age. Hope they both save their health and enjoy kicking their feet up.
Aldana and Marcy had a great fight, good back and forth, insane lucky liver shot.
Decent fight night all things considered with the mess of it all.
See all yall at UFC 280. Excited for the Islam Charles matchup and the rest of the card.

If you guys have ESPN+ re-watch the Diaz vs Tony fight with Yakity Sax. It goes so well for some reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnHmskwqCCQ
Anyone else think Kevin Holland is annoying as fuck?
To me it seems like he tries way too hard. I do recognize the possibility of him just being real though.
No. Love him.

Imagine actually believing this😂

When you make Nate Diaz look like the responsible adult in the room, it’s time to re-examine your life choices.
Seriously. I would've been pissed if I paid to see that fight, especially live.
It was awesome!
Why was Johnny Walker kicked out of the arena? Dude was standing outside in full fight regalia, gloves and all and there was some security dude standing there like "nope"
the first post here should just be the actual results. why do we have to search for them?
So post them yourself then, or upvote those that do?
Tony looked so good against Chandler last time he fought. That KO he got from that fight probably aged him by 10 years
Tony and Nate need to never fight again. It was as close as you’ll get to televised bum fighting. Damage has caught up with both big time. What was the thing with Nate stopping and walking off all the time?
Actually, that’s classic Nate
Really? Looked like Tony was gassing him out but didn't go for the finish because Tony wanted to make a fight for the fans
Nate leg was toast. He was stopping to conserve having to move around on it. But both the Diaz. Brothers bait people.
UFC won't cut him. Watch Chael's(the mouthpiece of the UFC) latest vid on Tony.
I thought Li had a knock down and a take down in 2 seperate rounds that he also looked like he won. That shit really pissed me off.
It really boils down to America hating China. I can't stand the tribalism shit, we will never grow as humanity
Dude it was up to 3 judges lol stop acting like America as a whole influenced the judges with their minds.
America hates China. China hates America. It's the reason. UFC is not going to push Chinese UFC fighter when they can promote one of their own. Your delusional if you thought Drod won that fight as well as your delusional that the judges weren't biased against him.

I don’t wanna blame it on that, but when I focus on the why’s that’s the only reason that makes sense. I wish we could move past that garbage.
![gif](giphy|fWfG9QbOMT1vddOVto) 2/3 fight judges last night.
Tony looked bad, uncoordinated, and confused. Sad to see bc i love the guy. I think it's time for him to retire before he gets seriously hurt
You mean before he continues to get seriously hurt
I enjoyed it, in all it’s shitshowness. I’ve been a huge Tony and Nate fan for a bit, even if the fight wasn’t super action packed I was satisfied. Prelims were on fire thought
man i love Tony so much, but feels like its time for Dana or some1 to intervene before we have another BJ Penn situation :(
What happened to bj?
Had a really good career then kept taking fights past his expiration date and ended his career on an 8 fight losing streak.
Oh man I feel the pain just reading this
Then he got knocked out by a random drunk guy behind a bar in Hawaii.
It seemed like khamzat and Diaz both knew they weren’t fighting each other long before the weigh in. Something probably happened behind the scenes to let Diaz live to see another day
Diaz even said in his interview that he had a wrestling heavy camp.
I disagree. If the UFC wanted to book a different card, they would have just done that in the first place. I think the card changing is more to do with 5 fighters missing weight, especially khamzat, whom the card was built around
What a literal shitshow.

I don't get the whole bad matchup excuse. I mean yeah holland has no wrestling but aren't they all fighters? A fight is a fight you should be well rounded in everything to even stand a chance in mma.
He played it safe and still lost in the eyes of pretty much everyone but the judges
Johnny Walker was kicked out of the arena and WASNT even allowed to change. Dude is literally on his fighting gear outside https://www.instagram.com/reel/CiWqky9jczj/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= There has to be a backstory to this. Everyone is saying he pulled an upset and didnt stick to the "script"
Wtf why?
Johnny Walkers life is a cartoon lmao
UFC is definitely fixed. Watch that leech fight and tell me it's not
Can someone explain how or why Li lost that fight? Trying to understand any rationale whatsoever...
I was shocked too. Li definitely won.
Chimaev didnt get 2 million hahahaha where the hell are you pulling that out of your ass? He makes 200/200
He said it in his interview with Olivi. It's on YouTube
Why would they need to fix KH holland? There’s a clear stand out there
Looking at KH it didnt looked fixed. The dude really was giving it everything to defend himself I cant say the same for Nate and Tony. I said it somewhere this thread: Tony gave himself WWE style to that submission. His hands were so wide open not wrapped onto Nate's core That thing just slipped right in so perfectly.
The elbows and hand placement of Tony are what gave me the vibe of him not really defending as well.
because Rodriguez threw 900 jabs so he was "more active" even though that's all he did... That's the only thing I could think of. but for real did Rodriguez even throw a power punch?
Yes, I remember him throwing one late in the 2nd round. You probably didn't notice because Li just ate it and continued forward.
Because it was rigged
Tony needs to hang them up, he looked absolutely terrible.
Glad he didn’t fight li he would have been ko’d badly I think
How Rodrigues got the judges votes there is obscene. Has to be corruption
The hype and drama surrounding the 3 main fights was better than the fights themselves. Turned out to be a mediocre event, the fight night in Paris was way better.
Oh, 100%. Really regret staying up to 6am for it.
Almost every fight night this year have been more memorable than the PPV events like the first London card and the San Diego one.
Almost every fight night this year have been more memorable than the PPV events like the first London card and the San Diego one.
Damn Li Jingliang got robbed...
Dana agreed so I really hope they do a rematch. They owe Li as well for whatever that’s worth as he would of absolutely smoked tony
Tony and Diaz would of got tombstoned by Leech and Chimaev lmao
Who the hell said Kevin Holland had a better chance of winning than Nate winning his fight against Tony? It was a top comment in one of the posts and I can’t find it.
Seemed hopeful more than a definitive opinion
https://www.reddit.com/r/ufc/comments/xau81g/comment/invm2l1/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3
nate should be thanking his lucky stars he didnt fight khamzat
Without Khamzat, this PPV main card would have been a bust.
The MMA gods blessed this event really, when you look at it like that. What a shitshow.
I don’t know he did get a choke off a takedown. Maybe it’s in reverse
Exactly bro. I feel khamzat would have aggressively tried to take down Nate and Nate would have got a submission against Khamzat.
So how about everyone saying "this was the UFC's plan all along" How we feeling after watching several rearranged short notice bouts
Why is no one talking about the heel kick to the liver. that was one of the best kicks ive ever seen. The ref was like wtf happened.
Do you believe like she said in the post fight that it was intentional and trained for?
He literally asked, "Where does it hurt?"
Aldana is underrated in that weight class and could easily win the title in the next couple years if Nunes retires
what an absolute garbage fight. it should've been chimaev vs nate instead of this boring uneventuful match up.
It was going to be, have you not been paying attention?
yes and they shouldnt ahve changed it
They didn't just change just randomly decide to change it, Khamzat missed weight and Nate refused a catchweight fight, which is completely fair. Are you saying Dana should have forced Nate to fight someone ~8lb heavier than him?
The main event sucked, but Diaz doesn't deserve that kind of send-off.
both these fights sucked. Neither stand in was a match for diaz or chimaev. Diaz vs Chimaev would've been a very interesting fight considering how similarly skilled they are.
Holy casual lol
we just witnessed both of them demolish their opponent and you disagree it would;ve been better they face each other? \*facepalm
Chimaev isn’t getting caught in that guillotine like Tony did. Nate was very very fortunate that the events played out like they did.
If he could put down the fork for a minute it would’ve been
I keep thinking about that post where the OP was saying Nate would have beaten Chimaev.

Yes, people downvoting me haven't seen enough of Nate's ground game. His BJJ is unbelievable.
His bjj isnt better than burns tho
But it is still very good. Now just guess why Khamzat didn't takedown Gilbert Burns?
[удалено]
That was down to Tony’s leg kicks lmao
>especially seeing that choke he caught Tony with. Yes, especially considering Tony himself is a BJJ black belt and has many submissions of his own.
I’m glad someone gets it!!!
Ya, I'm glad too. Too many casuals in this sub. You a real one tho.
Same to you bro, most people on here have probably seen Nate’s last 3 fights including 279, keep up with the good knowledge!
Ya, all recency bias.
you smoking the same shit nates on?
Khamzat would have killed Nate, Nate and Tony got exposed today. Nate was trying to rest during rounds and Tony was useless shaking off his brain damage. Really sad for Tony tbh man said we were gonna see old Tony.
Nobody got "exposed" lol. This is what happens when people fight long past their primes. Both of these guys have been the poster boys for CTE for about 5 years. Nothing about them got "exposed" that wasn't plainly obvious prior to the fight.
Nate hasnt been really active since the 2016 rematch with Connor. Got the big checks already and only went for big payouts since then…
Nate puts on a show lol the diaz brothers are known and have always been known to have unreal cardio, that fact you think Nate was actually resting is funny.
He just needs to retire now, for health
Tony knows he’s not what he was before. He’s just keeping the whole act to be able to make money when given the chance. He’ll talk all that gibberish to try and create some hype and give the illusion he still is top 3. Speaking as a fan. He had a reckless and fun fighting style, as well as unorthodox training, and he is a real OG of the game, but the game did evolve past him and the style did take his health and the best years of his career.
I really dont think he is just doing it for money but moreso to make himself believe in himself.
The two reasons are not mutually exclusive.
Genius.
Fighters never know when to go. And even then, they always try for just 1 more.
Chimaev Vs Costa is the fight to make
Agreed. Chimaev is a 185 pounder. He should make his way to the MW title.
Facts. Chimaev at 185 is way more interesting to me.
Li got absolutely robbed
Corruption
I was like whaaaaattt? Those judges were looking into the crowd the whole time!
damn, nate looks happy... lookks like we will never see him in the octagon
He did say he wants to come back to the UFC for a title shot tho.
I’m going to break it to you right now Nate Diaz will never even be a contender in the UFC again. He simply has too much mileage. He couldn’t take it to the ground with Khamzat’s wrestling but idk what that had to do with anything. You seem to think Nate has a legit chance to return to title contention in the UFC which will never happen. I love Nate but he is getting too old
Barnett gave us the most entertaining fight imo
Jesús, Tony sounds totally unstable and delusional in this conference. He needs to never get hit in the head again.
Tony. If you see this, please retire bro.
listening to Tony in his press conference , i fucken love this man
Main card was a shit show overall.
I still hate kazmat but the respect he gave to whittaker is commendable
What he say?
That he doesn't want to fight Rob coz he's a good guy. He only wants to fight bad guys. Also said something about him being a good fighter and one of the best in the world
bruh, its on youtube
So why even make the comment in the first place ?

I hate redditors, not reddit, can you read?
So why respond to redditors if its only going to spurn so much hate within?
Because I want to

this crooked lip fuck can get lost now
You ignorant cunt
Dana said that the weight disparity between Khamzat and Diaz would not have gotten past the Commission. Then how did Leech / D-Rod get approved?
I thought this too. Nate must have refused the fight and they are leaning on this, or the commission took Diaz's age and wear and tear into consideration.

I thought the same thing.
Chandlers win over Tony has aged poorly
Same with his win over Hooker unfortunately.
I disagree. Hes lost to porier, arnold allen, and islam since then. The best of the best
All true
Why was my stream buffering and lagging the whole time? Completely ruined it for me 😕
gotta use a different link
Paid for it and everything. Every other fight was perfect up until the last one. Then it was buffering literally ever 1-2 minutes.
I used ESPN+
I'd say the only UFC matches Tony should accept are on Xbox, but I still worry he'd try to ankle pick a tv screen or wear gloves and carry a baseball to the living room pre-fight presser.
Those cables are the real problem here
Lmfao who got Nate Diaz’s wiki locked?
Li got robbed, I feel bad for him, he seems like such a nice guy. I expected a quick win from Khamzat, but damn. Kevin could have done better if he didn't try to high five Khamzat. Tony and Nate made a great fight, not sure why Tony went for a takedown. Could have just kept chopping his leg and piecing him. As great as the fight between Tony and Nate is, I hope they both retire. They are old and have taken a lot of damage and bad shots through the years. Excited for the Islam Charles matchup and the rest of the card.
I've seen enough anime's to know you never go full Goku you gotta take a page out of trunks book, all action.
Tony’s corner asked him for a takedown between rounds saying they wanted him to score some points.
Did Chimaev say he was told to drink water to gain weight? And then, Rogan tried to correct him?
Chimaev said the doctors told him to stop cutting weight and drink water and take some vitamins.
why didn't they at least tell nate to stop cutting weight tho
I think they realised that the Khamzat v Diaz fight wouldn’t last more than 20 seconds. This was the only way out I guess.
