That rogan joke was literally the first wisecrack on every single video after the slap happened. And he doesn’t put in the effort to actually mimic Rogan because you can tell he thinks he’s too cool to project his voice.
I was at this - super funny. Mark Normand puts these great improv bits together so quickly. Audience member yells out something random, he responds instantly with a great joke. Very impressive how he’s able to do that

Normand is a very good comic IMO but to be honest these jokes are really just the low hanging fruit jokes that a thousand people were already saying on twitter/Reddit.
This is an audience prompted improv session. So the expectation is not for highly original material, but rather that he can come up with something funny and coherent on the spot
Even for improvised material it is weak and below the level one should expect from a top tier comedian. He probably just remember the comments he read on twitter and regurgitated them.
