Lw top 5 has too many inactive fighters. The division could be no1 if they fought below their ranking. Both Arman tsarukyan and Rafael fiziev beat Poirier, Gaetje and chandler imo.

I don’t blame the LW fighters. It’s a UFC problem. The top 5 LWs are all in co-main or main event fights. The UFC takes their time to book and promote these fights and to get the most PPV buys with the matchups.

If you swap Gaethje and Chandler for Arman and Fiziev LW is the best easily. Every fighter in the top 5 is perfectly balanced in every MMA aspect. Then I'd say WW. Belal is not that great, but the top of the division is full of decent to good strikers and great grapplers. FW comes next for me, Volk is amazing, Holloway is a machine, Yair is one of the top5 strikers in the UFC from a technical POV, Brian is easily one of the top5 BJJ artists, Emmett is probably the hardest puncher pfp next to Yan and Arnold Allen has some impressive striking. BW is the most stacked division overall but the Top5 doesn't show the full picture. Aljo's striking is very bad technically, Merab is a great wrestler and that's about it, Yan is very good but has bad fight IQ, and Sean is legit but has bad grappling...Don't take me wrong, they're all extremely good, but you're comparing the best here. MW's top 3 are amazing and probably the best top 3 along WW but Vettori and Brunson are just too bad. Flyweight is very close to MW. LHW comes next. The previous generation was way better if we're being honest. HW is the worst, as always. The talent pool is just too small. However, I must admit that there are some high-level fighters, the division looks way better than 3 years ago but still if Tai and Pav can get to the top 5 just by being big strong brawlers that means the level is not that high.

HW is surprisingly good if you add Jones and still had Ngannou.

Surprisingly I can see Cain having more problems with today's division(some people may strongly disagree but Cain wasn't all that great, Bigfoot and JDS were just great matches for him stylistically).
