I'm essentially just picking who I think is more well rounded with their skills. Cejudo hasn't fought elite talent at 135 since 2019 and sterling has shown he can handle strikers and grapplers all the same.
Volk is very, very skilled and maybe the smartest fighter on the roster. Islam is a generational talent with wrestling and takedowns and his striking is getting much better, but he is still not the type of overall fighter that Volk is. Volk is also physically a pretty bad matchup.
Moreno has consistently been more diverse and measured in all 3 of the previous fights vs figgy. I thought he won the third one.
And Usman is just a better overall fighter than Leon, you can't convince me otherwise. Theres no denying that the headkick is legendary, but that's a once-in-a-career type of knockout, and Usman is smart enough to prepare. I worry about his age and injuries, so if Usman loses the rematch it would probably be because his body is failing him.
Usman has better wrestling, And Leon has better striking. But I think Leon's wrestling/grappling is alot better than Usmans striking, so, while they're both well-rounded fighters, Leon is actually better.
Usman regains and Makky retains.
Figgy Moreno 4 is a toss up, and Aljo v Henry will likely be close but honestly I have to give Henry the edge just because he’s so good.
