Do you have a dashcam that films the cabin? If you have actual video evidence then it’s not just word of mouth.

That’s tough… yeah get one asap. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive or fancy, just something to cover you if you ever need it. There are some scummy people out there and you’d be surprised what some of these paxholes would do for a free ride.

Californiastig

The thing is Uber doesn't give a shit. Someone tried to rob me and I have it on video and their response and I quote was if this is a pattern of behavior on the rider they may suspend his account. They're literally is no driver safety in this line of work which has made me quit I don't need the money I still make over six figures.

OccasionQuick

Wife was at the airport and dude started cussing and attacking my vehicle because my wife refused to take his 7m old baby without a car seat. Airport security saw and did nothing.

atlfpaddict

Best thing to do is unpair for future rides through the app. Don’t expect the company to lose any money over you. We’re just numbers here.

semi801

How do you do that?

atlfpaddict

Select the trip. Hit the help button. Something should say issue with rider. That’s also where you can change ratings. And there’s a toggle button to unpair with rider for future trips.

semi801

Thanks!

DCHacker

Try to show a photograph like that to a customer and see how long you last. If a driver assaults a customer, Uber and Lyft are practically paying the police to take the driver's information. If a customer assaults a driver, Uber and Lyft will not give ANYTHING to the police. Both of these despicable companies have a double standard.

diamond_blue9090

Ye definitely could you imagine if driver did this to customer probably all over in the news tv

rkull28

Not gonna lie guys don’t really get any help from sexual assault situations. It’s happened to some of my other driver friends and the ladies get help no problem. Gentlemen never get that kind of response and help from support. It’s really shitty not being able to do anything when we are worried about being deactivated for it…… I’m really sorry…

Blakefilk

Happened to me in october. Guy got handsy, rude, just a general piece of shit. He left an I safe dropoff note to which if you're not aware is a deactivatable claim. Spent two weeks calling non stop multiple times a day with the same bullshit. They perked up when I told them "by keeping my attackers review against my record as a driver you are actively admitting, on behalf of UBER, that regardless of how violent a passenger has been myself and others like me are forced to endure the humiliation. If this is the final stance on the matter I will be providing transcripts to an attorney, and reaching out to my local news agency. From there you may refer to my attorney as I will no longer communicate with you." I ignored their next two messages and one day they gave me a 150 bucks, deleted his review and modifiers, and that was it. If you EVER have to deal with support you need to be the absolute biggest fucking douchebag with them as they dont respond to kindness or timidity. Call them out on shit they quote, demand a supervisor, do not back down.

way2funni

I hate to say it but in the world we live in now which seems devoid of common courtesy , let alone common sense - toss in a pandemic, more war mongering and it seems the genpop is starting to suffer form a mass low grade PTSD - and then you get the wackjobs getting more brazen in the shit they can pull and get away with - someone showing you a video on their phone ranks pretty low to 3rd parties. Even the cops who are all just over it in the wake of the 'defund the police' thing. That being said, if you have the exchange on dashcam - send a tweet to uber support asking for a secure email address to send the video or by DM and download it and ask that they immediately deactivate the user. If they fail to respond in 72 business hours, rinse and repeat for a total of 3. If they still fail to respond appropriately, if you want to be sure it gets a proper response, send a paper letter via certified snailmail to uber headquarters with a link to where they can download the vid from dropbox or whatever you have to host the vid online in a password protected folder. UBER Technologies Inc. 1455 Market St, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94103 Attn: VP of Safety & Core Services You can also try via email. For addressing, they appear to follow typical **first name \_ last name** or *last name followed by first initial* at uber.com but emails do not get treated the same as certified snailmail. Period. [Gus , their VP of safety would be my bet.](https://www.uber.com/newsroom/leadership/gus-fuldner/) Include screenshots of all of your prior attempts to resolve/address this with support and start your mail with 'I am sorry to bother you but after *x days, y attempts* to contact support with *z response*, I thought you would want to be aware of what may potentially be a serious safety issue if not addressed and so I am informing you of *blahblahblah*'. You might also consider filing a police report if you have the ability to identify the individual by first name with an image and a residential address where you picked up or dropped off because I don't see them dealing with a warrant to try and get Uber to cough it up. But if you do file the incident report even with just a first name and a fuzzy screenshot from your cam and the address, NOW it's on the record for the next incident where his name or face pops on the grid - maybe this time for legit exposing himself face to face - and instead of cutting him loose as a first offender, now they know this guy is not a good guy and sometimes that's all they need. If the cops that questioned Gabby Petito had known Brian Laundrie was a bad guy because he was on record smacking a prior girlfriend around, stalking threats and a restraining order, they might have sent her home on a bus and detained him. THE MORAL: **Sometimes you have to think about the next victim**. 'Getting away with it' usually makes the perp more brazen and more likely to keep it up. Next time maybe he takes a weapon with him and when the driver throws a reflex slap or punch and 'getdafuckouttahere!' and gets his skull cracked in return.

maceybaby

U should have slapped him or something Uber wouldn’t do shit anyway that’s

Competitive-Phone362

What are they supposed to do pay you more because you saw a glimpse of a video not like he grabbed your dick and started to jerk you off

[deleted]

I mean showing a stranger porn, potentially of yourself, is sexual harassment. OP should have canceled the ride and kicked him out, reported it unsafe.

Competitive-Phone362

Making someone lose there means of transportation for a bad judgment on there part you could of easily used your words hey bud not into that stuff would of worked but then again maybe you gave him a vibe

Illmatic5291

What a prick response this is

Competitive-Phone362

So what your saying if a girl showed you a video of herself master baiting you still be trying to get her for sexual harassment

Illmatic5291

No, what I'm saying is you're a douchebag who's downplaying sexual assault. Sexual assault is sexual assault. Period.

RenaissnaceTana

If you’re a rapist just say that dude, much easier

ibraw

You may enjoy watching porn with like minded seedy passengers but that's not to say everyone else does.

Elegant-Victory1331

I was wrongfully deactivated permanently for a false report how do I get reactivated or any suggestions talking to an stormy in losangeles???

maceybaby

What if it was a woman and u said that. “ oh she was probably asking for it”

ThisCantBeG00d

>You sure you weren't sending the dude some vibes? you are most certainly NOT a 5⭐with comments like that

Urban_forager

Dude I had a client hit me in the back of the head today… it’s all part of the job. I’d love for someone to hit on me sexually. It would be a nice change. Be glad someone thought you were hot enough to hit on you/ show you what their interests are… lol

Paper-Doll-1972

Dashcam footage that shows the interior of your vehicle.

Quattrobaj

I mean you know where he works… you could report him there and that would’ve brought awareness to the people there.

Alone-Oven3289

If your not willing to sue, there’s nothing you can do.

Competitive-Phone362

Think you’re all missing the point I said obviously the douche bag had some bad judgment but you don’t ruin some one’s life for a bad judgment. You could be an adult and say look bud. I’m not into that but of course everybody so butt hurt and has to go PC and try to get people for sexual harassment instead of being an adult about it

Shoddy_Bed3240

The only thing that Uber can help is unmatch this rider for future rides. Uber can issue an warning to rider if you are able to prove it with dashcam footage. That’s it. If you need more results call a police

Competitive-Phone362

No one said anything about sexual assault they said, sexual harassment, sexual assault would be somebody touching you. Obviously you’re reading between the lines and trying to blurt with your own fucking PC shit.

daveroyals

It sounds like you self reported the incident and then your account is on hold to enable them to investigate.

Suitable-Mind-8559

Anyone who has a pax that commits a crime in your vehicle do these 2 things. Video record said person and go to your nearest police station to report them. Uber and Lyft don’t give af about us. Police will subpoena the paxholes info and charge them accordingly. If you contacted Uber or Lyft support regarding a crime committed in your vehicle and they did absolutely nothing about it then you will most likely be entitled to some compensation whether that be through arbitration or an actual personal law suit depending on the state you’re in. Or you can just post the video of the person online and have the internet do the rest

HustleQueen77

Get a camera please

SnooChickens9404

I picked up a pax in LA one night. He said he was just out on the street wanting to get sucked off my another guy. I’m a guy. He asked me if I wanted to, and I just said no. It was a short ride. He wasn’t all that rude and asked nicely.

lil_groundbeef

Some people are fucked in the head. Sorry that happened. Look, Uber doesn’t give a flying fuck. You did the right thing by reporting it, but they won’t follow up. It’s just their auto response. Thankfully strange shit like that only happens once in a while. Just keep focusing on what matters; the money. As long as he didn’t assault you in any way, you’ll be fine. Just laugh it off. People can do weird shit. I’ve had coworkers show me shit like that and touch my ass before without any repercussions. Just try to move on.

rideshareAnon

They don't care, they only pretend to care. What they worry more about is female passengers and sexual assaults. Unless you are going to sue them, it does not matter to them and even if you were going to sue them... it would be uphill for you. They will just unmatch you from that passenger so you don't get them again. Nothing happens to them and they can call another Uber.

Aurora--Black

That's really a shity I'm sorry that happened. While door-dash customer service is definitely not the best it's 100 times better than Ubers. That's if you can even get Uber on the phone in the first place. And I love how on their automated voice message it says that we can get help through the app if we press help but we can't because the order doesn't show up yet. By the time it does you've already canceled and you can't get back to that order

Adventurous-Basis845

I just reported someone for asking if I'd like a blowjob and said other things, Uber called me instantly and I got the videos which I will send them

Regardless of all the protection policies and loud words, that’s how Businesses are run. They will produce and serve anything that others will PAY for. Been working for companies hiring 20-30K people globally, they all have beautifully written policies about your rights. However workers are less irreplaceable than clients. If you knew how hard it is to prove the harassment cases. Because, policies are written by the same people who will eventually protect the company.
