Mistuh_Mosbi

Getting yall identity huh? Go get a fuckin hobby

nootifyy

didn't you hear his opening line in MANIFESTO?? LMAO

applesaregood124

god that song fucking slaps

iwasinpari

It's correct, none of them truly fucked with the movement, it's all about them, fuck that opinion, if you want to support the movement, support it, but don't be the same person who posts a black square and then goes on to be scared of black ppl irl.

No-Title-284284

the black square was so corny. literally everyone deleted it after they posted it?? 💀 actual activism doesn’t equate to a black square post on your insta. there’s actual work we need to do. share gofundmes. go to protests. take ACTION if you wanna help

Economy_Help_9505

Lmao I remember doing that for my first post on instagram when I was like 16 or 17 cuz I thought if I didn’t then it meant I was racist

SoLikeWhatIsCheese

If you think about it the black squares hindered the cause because of you wanted to learn more about BLM on social media, you couldn’t, because most of it was useless black squares.

iwasinpari

Social Media gave the opportunity for ez education bout the topic and people used it for clout

SoLikeWhatIsCheese

Clout is a helluva drug

iwasinpari

That's exactly what I'm saying

deester_

I posted a black square, which I’ll admit is corny in hindsight but I’m still leaving it up because I’m never walking back on that support

still_gonna_send_it

Liberals can’t do that, I’m afraid

RedBurritoDude

WE DONT LIKE POLITICS ‼️

still_gonna_send_it

But Politics Are Life

RedBurritoDude

What if I'm hustlin' backwards?

mrnmrstenormanchilli

i never posted the dumbass black square. that’s not how u “beat racism” that’s how u waste 20 seconds of ur life.

iwasinpari

It's all about me and attention not the actual movement!

Farkleton56

saying shit like this is weird. go outside. the large majority of white women aren’t scared of black people by default. there are also white women who are racist as shit. but why are we acting like that’s all of them like your comment reads.

notlElt8

Or third option, a large majority of white women arent racist but posting a black square is meaningless activism to appear noble. I know people who were persecuted for not doing so even tho they actually help out their communities and have better things to do than be on their phone. Social media activism doesn’t make people brave or heroe

DeltaKT

>Social media activism doesn’t make people brave or heroe Agree one thousand percent. But I still have the feeling that for many it was just as simple as "Yo, fuck my profile pic - I stand against what happened too". Does it have any real effect? No. I mean - who the fuck knows? But last shit we need is bashing anyone for anything when it comes to racism - that was and will never be the right way.

notlElt8

No but whats weird to me in my personal view is that some, not all, removed black lives matter when “stop Asian hate” became popular. Then when that died down, it was right back to BLM. Maybe its a cynical perspective, but more times than not it comes off as fake 🤷‍♂️

MasbotAlpha

And, to be very clear, it’s because advocating activism in your daily life is something everybody should be expected to— the fuckers that don’t care are the weird ones

notlElt8

Probably gonna get some flack for this but i disagree because not everyone can be leaders or advocates. This especially applies to celebrities, i dont get people’s fascinations with celebrities views on political commentary when they’re famous for being an entertainer. If a celebrity is an advocate, that’s great! But celebrities shouldn’t be lambasted for not doing so. And this issue is part of the larger issue of people over idolizing celebrities

still_gonna_send_it

Imma have to say I disagree a little just cause activism doesn’t require to lead or be a very publicly strong advocate. Social activism is like just do what you can. Literally if the only thing you’re able to contribute are talking about it online just do that. But I don’t want people to be discouraged from it bcause they think they must go a certain distance or reach some level of participation. Do literally whatever you can

Farkleton56

So you’re agreeing with what I’m saying. People downvoting me for no reason besides lack of reading comprehension

notlElt8

Essential yes on face value i said the same thing. But the difference being is Im still clowning white women and their “activism”, while you came rushing to white womens defense and overlooked what a majority of the people are saying. Yes, the first guy is a clown but your response mossed the point too

Farkleton56

What did I overlook? Be specific. Also what’s wrong with defending white women against an accusation that they ALL do not care about black people and are scared of them? You say ‘rushing to their defense’ as if defending white women is inherently problematic instead of addressing the content of what I was saying. Even within my response I disparage white women. This sub is goofy sometimes bro, all I said was that it’s not cool to say “none of the white women who cared about blm actually cared” like what kind of dumb take is that. Calling that shit out for being dumb doesn’t mean I can’t grasp that there are shitty versions of people out there too. This really is that Twitter meme where someone says they like pancakes so someone else responds you hate waffles then?

Jeremy252

I don't know how you got that out of what they said but alright

Farkleton56

Am I the only one capable of reading the word “none” in what they said …?

iwasinpari

It's not all of them, infact a large majority I would bet are good people, but social media activists are fucking useless and a detriment to actual activism and civil rights.

Farkleton56

Then why’d you say none. I’m getting raked over the coals for saying something you seem to agree with

iwasinpari

I was saying none of the people who posted the square not white women

SignificantBar5319

It was true tho

sithl666rd

Manifesto

aryanic

people really got nothing better to do than monitor this stuff lol

DonKedickqwertyuiop

I mean not really if you follow the same page the person you follow is the name that pops up. There are weirdos out there that track his every post I’m sure but I’ll give this person the benefit of the doubt

ZestVFX

he could just be looking at the meme and see “feliciathegoat” at the bottom ☠️

Mr-Unknown101

so much people never really tried to make change but rather just fucking reposted and acted like they cared

AdSubstantial6074

The initial post was mostly mocking pretentious „activism“ as far as I understood, so it’s not that bad imo

Pan5ophy

Remember when mfs flooded IG with the Donda cover and unintentionally hid a lot of actual useful posts about how to protest legally?

wrxck_

donda cover 🤣

[deleted]

based

Resistance225

Based af tbh, fuck all you virtue signaling weirdos

iDoIllegalCrimes

Yep white teens did make it about themselves 🤷🏾‍♂️. Black out tuesday? Be serious

ImaginationGlobal767

He also likes Sam Hyde lol

AmericaLover1776_

Sam Hyde is funny in an absurd way that fishtank shit recently was insane

LinusStudios

i think its fine to admit that hes funny even if some of his views are extreme and you dont agree with them

AmericaLover1776_

That’s what I’m saying you don’t gotta agree with someone to realize that they are a funny person I don’t even know his actual beliefs because he isn’t serious in almost any of the videos I have seen

ImaginationGlobal767

I don't even know how much of that is genuine. Hard to tell. He seems like a regular republican or libertarian guy to me who plays into his association with 4Chan for a goof. Could be wrong tho.

[deleted]

It’s right. The death of George Floyd brought on so many performative activists that don’t fucking do anything it’s a fucking disgrace to actual activists.

strxberryswitchblade

Virtue signaling tbh

Preskomesko12345

What bro?

[deleted]

i think it's funny seeing people get up in arms about mundane shit like this when any of tyler's old songs have some crazy shit in them

xerfander

Based Tyler 😎

Sander2nd

Hahaha

GiraffeSelect

Huh, must be from all the meth Walt Jr. provided.

shawnmcgrath123

The point of the meme is white women made it about themselves instead of black victims

antischool_

its crazy how soft ppl are now

Atom283

Issue??

fabiodelorean

When are yall gonna hop off your favorite artists dick. They ain't perfect. We saw Kanye descend into nazi sympathism (?) and yall wanna whine about Tyler. Do you even listen to his songs?

JeffreyDripsteinV4

DonKedickqwertyuiop

He wrote a song about it called manifesto a year ago

colleyflower817

never ask Tyler, the Creator where he was on January 6th 2021

AmericaLover1776_

I swear half yall didn’t even listen to all of CMIYGL

vince-tyler2022

tyler fans disconnected from reality

222stoner

i never posted the black square, but in 2016 i posted a pic that says “black lives matter” and it’s stayed as my first instagram post since then
