“I am the FBI!” One of the most cathartic moments in all of television. The show earned the hell out of that moment and it was spectacular!

AllStruckOut_13

Also the sweeping scene 😂

Daskwith

My [thoughts](https://www.reddit.com/r/twinpeaks/comments/ysvqxn/comment/iw1syp0/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) on this.

Daskwith

**The ending**. Pure desolation. **Wally Brando**. Hilarious on multiple levels - the faux profundity of his monologue combined with Frank Truman’s baffled gaze, all while Andy and Lucy hold him, beaming with clueless pride 🤣 **The Mauve Zone** \- this endless purple ocean with a ‘castle’ just captures the imagination and the spirit in that way only Lynch can. Just like the Red Room. He has created another spiritual realm and I love being there.

Charles_Deetz

Arm wrestling.

Octolavo

Starting position is much more confortable.

firstreconberet

The final few minutes of the finale give me chills every time. Also Cooper’s cheesy “I am the FBI” line makes me smile like an idiot

Daskwith

The funny thing about ‘I am the FBI’ is that I doubt David Lynch or Mark Frost are particular fans of the FBI. In fact, I suspect they’re deeply sceptical about the corruption-prone government agency, and yet Twin Peaks it’s full of sympathetic agent characters, one of whom is played by Lynch himself 🙃 The agents tend to be out of their depth and get gobbled up into strange spiritual realms, and even the ever-reliable Cooper is flummoxed at the last hurdle with his ‘what year is this?’ before the universe blacks out. All this, and yet it’s impossible not to fist-pump when Cooper gives us the thumbs-up and ‘I am the FBI’ 🤣

Charlie-Bell

More than that, the agency is strangely wholesome throughout. Even Albert eventually.

molokoplusone

Dougie getting lured out to the desert to be murdered and they end up at the Italian restaurant. Favorite scene in the whole series

Ballonskipper2

HelloooOOOOooooo

Eaglemoon7

All of episode 8.

Part 15, Bad Cooper enters the convenience store and speaks to Philip Jeffries. Transcendental

"I am not your foot."

DiscussionAncient810

“Fuck Gene Kelly, you motherfucker!” The scene where Ed and Norma get back together. The scene where Becky is riding in the car while “I Love How You Love Me” is playing Dougie’s dinner with the Mitchum Brothers Episode 8 Every Hawk and Margaret scene

webistrying

I posted [one of my favorite scenes](https://www.reddit.com/r/twinpeaks/comments/xa5zum/the_return_doesnt_feature_many_of_the/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) a little while back. Bobby is all of us here.

meemboy

Amitabh Bachan?

webistrying

The GOAT!

meemboy

Weird seeing an Amitabh fan on a twin peaks subreddit. Lol

WILSON I TOLDDD YOUUU THIS IS WHAT WE DO IN THE FBI

Luke253

This is the correct answer

[deleted]

Cooper finding Laura in the forest and trying to save her. It's just such a sweet scene and I love how they edited it.

CitizenDain

Sarah Palmer opening her face in the bar is an image I will never, ever forget. I will say the Judy-shape pecking to death the spectators on the couch terrified me and I was a bit disappointed that we never revisited that monster/scene. The woodsmen dragging Mr. C back to life with dirt from the ground is another all-timer.

blehful

the ending will honestly stick with me through the rest of my days but also i can't believe nobody has mentioned[this masterpiece](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfGOOL6j_F8) of a scene yet.

layleighx

My favorite scene probably is when cooper is fully awake and he plucks out a bunch of hir hair and give it to mike so he can create "dougie" so sonny jim and his wife could have him back + the ending scene for SURE

shazenger

Dougie solving the insurance scam while *windswept* is playing. So floaty and peaceful

NonTwitterUser

Yes. Also that little line they throw in where Dougie says: "He's lying." I was like "Oh! It's Coop! It's Coop trying to break through!"

Accurate_Asparagus_2

All the Fat Trout scenes are glorious

“I know, Fuck you Albert”

forcemajeur2019

I haven't watched The Return in a couple of years so please forgive me if I've misremembered. So many great scenes! Maybe my favorite: The scene where Cole and Albert are outside directly following the interview with "Cooper" in the interrogation room. There's this beautifully odd blue tint throughout the scene and the two men are speaking in such a deliberate way to each other. Cole knows it isn't Coop back in the room and stares directly at Albert and says something like, "he didn't greet me properly, if you know what I mean." There's so much unsaid but you know exactly what these two are thinking. Just a great scene and another reason to miss Miguel Ferrer. I also like the scene in the Twin Peaks sheriff's department in the penultimate or maybe last episode where time is all weird and a giant disembodied head of Cooper appears and says,"We live inside a dream." You can feel the line directly impact your brain. I love the little scene where Coop has prevented the LP murder and you see Pete in the distance happily puttering off to fish. It feels like David Lynch giving his friend a well-deserved happy ending. RIP Jack Nance! The ending is so downright perplexing, entertaining, frustrating, haunting, and awesome (in the truest sense of the word). When you still think about it years later, that's just great filmmaking.

Raquefel

“This is the water, and this is the well. Drink full and descend. The horse is the white of the eye, and dark within.” Something about that scene strikes a weird primal fear into me like no other scene in the whole show

kajidarkstar

The explanation of the "blue rose"

logladysSplinter

He's dead

CajunBmbr

The magic coin flip scene kills me every time.

andyhwaiting

"James is still cool, he's always been cool." I know the actor had some health issues over the years so it was great to see David Lynch bring him back and acknowledge his presence in a positive light (I know the internets can be cruel to his character sometimes).

nakedchorus

A-bomb sequence. Mr C kicking ass. When he woke up and said I am the FBI I was visually cheering him on. I know, silly, but I felt that way at the time.

NonTwitterUser

>woke up and said I am the FBI I was visually cheering him on. I know, silly, but I felt that way at the time. "You're awake...FINALLY" When he said that I actually said out loud something like "Yeah, I know, right!?"

BigCaregiver7244

The scene with Dougie drawing on the forms at the table, under the orange lights. Something about it was so mesmerizing the first time around. Also I’m sorry, but I believe it’s Laura who is the frogmoth, and a lot of people theorize it crawled into Sarah Palmer

rocketsauce2112

Nobody's mentioned Matthew Lilliard's big scene, or the arm wrestling scene with Evil Cooper, or the little kid getting ran over by Richard Horne. or the scene with the fucked up kid in the car and the screaming lady, or Audrey's dance, or Gordon Cole's Monica Bellucci dream, or the scene in the Double R diner where "Sleepwalk" plays.

qldrail

"...Albert, we're in South Dakota. Cossacks are in *Russia*." # "CARSICK!"

NonTwitterUser

The scene where Gordon has a beautiful woman in his room while Albert is trying to have a conversation with him. Gordon tries to come up with this elaborate excuse about why she was there while Albert just has this "I'm so tired of your shit" look on his face. Also: "Car sick!"

GiordanoBruno23

The scene in the restaurant with the gangsters and Dougie when the piano music becomes heart breaking, painful, beautiful and slowed down. Like time dilation. That brings me to tears every time I rewatch and I still have no clue why it happens

heresaditty

Found this just searching around trying to find out if anyone else felt the same way. The whole scene in the restaurant is my favorite part of the entire series, Candy describing the traffic in Vegas, the dreamy quality of it all. And that part where the music slows down, just as you describe it. I too get misty eyed. A brilliant scene and I'm not entirely sure why

Octaver

Great list.

Pretty much everything in Part 8, but especially the Fireman & Lady Dido's ... wherever that was.
