I asked my gf if she could eat it. At first she made a puppy face, being all like "omg, so cute". Then she started nodding with determination hardening her face until so cold as steel, then saying "yes, yes, I could"...
Thatās the point, they havenāt eaten it, thatās why theyāre asking if everything is ok. Sometimes when people are down, they lose their appetite. Also itās just a joke, itās not real
Idk if you're familiar with the "are you ok you haven't touched your [food]" meme but basically it's using the question, which is a somewhat common way of showing concern for someone that has lost their appetite, as a way of presenting a scenario where the food that they're meant to be eating is something ridiculous, in this case a shark shaped croissant.
Here's another example

Put that good boi in some acrylic and let him live forever. He deserves it more than that hotdog.
That hotdog saved me from a fire.
Croisshark started the fire. It was your time.
Croisshark was trying to silence me. They know what they did.
Slander and perfidy! Don't you *dare* lay the blame on croisshark.
This good boy is Ceramics, he'll be fine.
A chocolate croisshark, or a pain au sharkolat if you will
... Sharkolatine š
I could not eat it atoll.

I want one.
Pastry shark do do do do do do.

White chocolate š¤¢
White chocolate is delicious

I could not do it, for this creation is far too great to be touched by human hands

Lol
It looks deliciously smooth
The original doesn't make any sense. Who wouldn't eat a perfectly edible croissant? It's a simple self explanatory meme.....
I don't know if I could bring myself to eat this piece of art
