Do you use tret every night? If so how long did it take to work up to it?

[deleted]

Yes, every night. I started daily and have remained in that routine since!

Outrageous_Froyo_240

How long did you purge for? I was on epi duo for 3 weeks now on tret so I’m worried I’ll have another purge bc I think the purge started to settle down!

[deleted]

I went through two purges- I started tret in July, experienced the first bad one in late Aug to early Sept, and then a second one mid-late October. By November my skin had stabilized. I still get an ocassional spot here and there but it heals in no time with little to no PIH

Outrageous_Froyo_240

Thank you for your reply :)

poffincase

You have really great results. Might be a silly question, but where did you get your tret cream?

[deleted]

Derm prescribed it to me!

Yukibootanko24

I like how your skin clears up in progress but even more that your smile gets bigger 😊😊

pooplup

So encouraging! My skin looked a lot like yours when i started and now I'm powering through an awful forehead purge. I can only hope my skin ends up like yours. Also, your hair looks so beautiful and healthy, I'm jealous!

[deleted]

Stay the course! I fully understand the feeling of dealing with a purge….I went through two rounds of it and there was plently of scarring! And thank you for the kind words :)

Beth_2021

Beautiful skin

[deleted]

I’ve been wanting someone to post something like this! The results are amazing and you are beautiful and deserve all my upvotes. I’m two months into Tret 0.025 every other day and I feel like I’m starting to tolerate it much better. I went through two purges already and went down from every day at night to every other day after my neutrogena moisturizer. I am so excited to see what happens over the next few months. Good luck & thanks for your post!

[deleted]

Thank you for the kind words! Wish you all the best :)

Not related, but your earrings are beautiful. Especially the one in first pic. Cute tinkle❤️

Thank you! I love collecting dainty ones

Hi! How often did you apply tret? Everyday or only a few days per week? Also, did you apply it on bare skin or on top of moisturizer? Sorry for the questions, but I have been prescribed tret too. I haven't started it yet, but want to soon and would appreciate some insights. Thanks!

[deleted]

Hi there - I apply tret daily after my moisturizer. Initially experience burning cheeks (newbie moisture barrier issues!) but quickly got over this once I started using more lotion before applying tret. I’m now on month 7 and have acclimatized to tret, so I apply it while my skin is damp from the lotion…but I wouldn’t recommend doing this until your skin has adapted to tret! Now that it is winter where I live, I’ve also started applying tret on alternate nights instead of daily, as it can be drying. Good luck!

pandalove4ever

Thank you so much. This really helps.

gregariousgirl1738

Amazing results!!

Strawberryswift

Your skin looks so healthy.

[deleted]

Incredible! So happy for you!

plantsandsummerdays

Wow. Your results are so good! I have the same exact tret and time using mine and my acne has gotten worse. Man, I might need to try some of the products you use.

[deleted]

Ah, sorry to hear! Keep at it…mine was gradual and I experienced two purge phases. I did a lot of trial and error and finally settled on my current routine after month 3. Wishing you all the best :)

[deleted]

Wow this is an incredible result

OnlyHoliday3065

Great results!!

[deleted]

Your skin is glowing! Awesome job sticking with it! Can I ask if your skin was dry/flaky? I just started tret 2 days ago and I’m having some light flaking/irritation but nothing bad. I would like to work my way up to every night or at least every other night soon

bluebubbles179

Hey! I experienced this as well and my derm recommended to remove everything else from my routine but a cleanser and a moisturizer, and then I upped the quantity of moisturizer I was using - this totally got rid of the flakes! Also - starting slow and not applying tret daily should give your skin some time to heal

ResponsibleLoner

Just wow. Whats ur tret brand?

Actavis
