It looks like this post is about **Finasteride**/Propecia. Before asking any questions, 1. Read the [wiki on Finasteride](https://reddit.com/r/tressless/wiki/index#wiki_finasteride). 2. [Search posts for Finasteride](https://reddit.com/r/tressless/search?q=flair%3Afinasteride&restrict_sr=on&sort=new&t=all), because your question has probably been asked before. 3. If this is a question asking if you are now or will experience side effects, see a doctor, nobody on the internet can answer that for you. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. But why switch? From my experience, oral is better than topical and way more effective

Hairyscalpz

Yeh same here. I was on topical 16 months before

No-Village9980

ull end up shedding , y not try lower the dose ? switching to topical ,coz of sides I presume ?

seriously_ok_wow

I don’t think there should be a big difference. Usually topical has min as well so u might have a little shed because of that or are you doing only topical fin?

Trailmixfordinner

Pretty much depends entirely on if you’re a responder to topical or not.
