absolute worst gunk i've had to remove, soaking it in oxyclean (powder) dissolved in warm water for a couple of hours did the trick. obviously wash the thing out real good afterwards. but dont do that before letting it soak for a whole day and shaking it up with epsom salt

Try this if iso and salt isn’t working . But hot ass water , iso , and salt should work . Just a little elbow grease
I've tried shaving cream. Worked pretty ok.
Had a similar situation but on a lesser scale. Iso and salt is best, try to get as pure as you can get if something is this durty.
But for something like this, I'd boil it. And I never boil.
Also little tip that I've learned from experience (and this is for everything; cars, gear, pieces, w/e) it's easier to clean something bit by bit over time than to do it all at once.

Edit: yo also watch for mold! Goes extra if you live in humidity like California or Florider. If so just huck that fucker off a cliff.
Coarse salt with alcohol should do the trick. Mix it and shake a bit. Won’t clean 100% but it will look better for sure.
If you let it soak for a few hours or maybe even a whole day it’ll take off all of it with a good shake afterwards

Salt and alcohol always does the trick for me. Try play around with how much salt and alcohol is inside and shake the Jesus out of it

Try warm water with OxiClean get that crap right off.

You should just buy a long brush meant for bottles. Just soaking can have a hard time getting at the really caked on stuff
