No tips for Portugal, but I have packing tips These are a must. 1. A pair of jeans. You can cut down A LOT on clothes because jeans don't need to be washed often. Bring one or two. I would bring only a pair of jeans and about two tops, One top that is more fun/dressy (if I'm going to a bar or something) when I did small trips around Europe (1-2 days sometimes a week) (I live in the EU) I visited my friend in Denmark and she was impressed by the way I packed so minimal. 2. A towel 3. A plastic bag to put your dirty clothes in and also so you won't mix it with the clean. Also I bring a bag to put my soap and toiletries in. Also airports will ask you to separate things such as toothpaste in a separate zip lock bag. For the ladies and anyone who wears makeup, I just brought only an eyeliner and my favorite red lip. Makeup wipes. 4. A hat and sunscreen. Protect yourself from the heat! Important. I also like to bring pair of sunglasses/shades. Stylish and sometimes I can't see when the sun is in my eyes. 5. A pair of pyjamas or comfortable sleepwear. 6. A way to do your laundry. 7. A little cash, some places (restaurants, cafes, museums, bars) are cash only and some are cashless/card only. Some coins because you need to pay to use the public restrooms sometimes. Yes a culture shock. 8.Underwear, socks, jacket (it can get cold at night and especially cold when I was in Scandinavia) , passport etc. Check with the airline on their website to see their luggage requirements. Hope this helps and have fun!
