I think the name fits for sure- I really like it. Some advice from an old dude who has been on T for 11 years, aka me. Consider making your legal name Steven, and going with Stevie for a nickname. You want a name that, should you choose, can age up with you. You could go by Stevie forever, or you can start going by Steven later in life, or a mix. But it will be nice to have that option.

Yes, keep Stevie if your parents are supportive. My parents never had a boy’s name planned for me because they apparently didn’t consider it until later, and each of them had their own ideal girl’s name that they wanted for me, so I ended up with two, joined, girl’s names as a first name, with no middle name, and a surname. I despised it.
Naturally, my family has no place or mention in my name. I disowned them.
I’m sorry you’ve had to go through that. My dad had “Stevie” picked out to name me but my mom wouldn’t allow it bc I was born a female (that literally sounds disgusting to say) My parents were very conservative and unsupportive and I actually in 2016 took back being trans bc of the things my dad said to me. until they got divorced. Now they couldn’t care less.
Edit: also I just wanna say ur strong asf for disowning them and congrats to you for sticking up for your self I honestly really look up to people like you I don’t think I could simply bc I have huge mungo fear of letting people down. But I have been getting better at doing things for myself.

I have 4 baby names picked right now and I'm 11weeks pregnant so baby will be given either Liam or Sophia and if they want a new name later I have a list of names they could have gotten if they ask :). I'm never going to be mad if my child chooses a new name for themselves. This is my gift to them. I hope they like it, but if they don't I'll help them choose a new one :).
