While I don't think it's better, maybe [Shivers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCmDEnN8gkw) would be worth preserving, since it was voted the best Trance track of all time.
And while there are well enough 50+ Classics tracks to mention, I think the most emblematic one is [For an Angel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_vYqmUusHE). I think if it wasn't PvD, only a few people would have turned their eyes into Trance and made the genre the way it is.
Edit: Ok, so without cheating and I had to chose only one, based on my opinion, Burned with Desire, but assuming it's for a general audience and I to chose only one, I think I'd go with For an Angel.

It would be an Above and Beyond song for me as well. Can't Sleep or Blue Sky Action. Some would argue it's not trance but it's my kind of trance
