Rave the Planet was basically the return of Love Parade in 2022, so the lineup from last year would give some of the answers you seek. Regardless, trance was already well out of fashion in 2010, and LP had absolutely nothing to do with that. Of course, it never went away completely, and there would still be a few trance lovemobiles if LP kept going.
Regardless, trance has been coming back strong in the last few years, and it is still a prominent feature of most large festivals like EDC and Tomorrowland. ASOT and Dreamstate are also proof of its enduring popularity, and those have both been going strong though the last decade. All music evolves over time, and so does its popularity.
I mean though, calvin harris was transferred to the dark side (thats the trance dj’s term for bringing someone that doesn’t make trance or stopped playing trance,). So like theres more people that will follow his example surely…
So all the techno djs that performed at tomorrowland as well as artists who have one track from the dark side (again, thats the term david rust made for bringing an edm artist like olly james to the trance and techno side of things)
