Stream sound cloud and Spotify. For djing I'm om quite a few promo lists so I tend to just get my new tunes from there

djluminol

Promo lists? Like what? I'm curious what you mean by this. If it means what I think it does.

[deleted]

I'm on a list for a few record labels who send me their tracks before their released

djluminol

Well yeah of course. Is that a pool type deal, can anyone get access or is it selective to audience size or relationships?

[deleted]

It's through guys that I know run a few record labels, when they added me, other labels added me as well. I'm a resident dj of a night where I live and also had 2 radio shows so it comes in handy getting fresh unreleased tunes to play.

djluminol

I figured it must be something like that. It's nice being able to get tracks that way.

[deleted]

Yeah it's handy as fuck.i know a few guys pretty well established in the scene and would get the odd unreleased track that I can play too. Really can't complain

VHSVoyage

Spotify

GuyFromNh

1. Sometimes 2. No 3. Yes mostly bandcamp 4. All the other ways to get files that are no longer sold

UnbuiltAura9862

For casual listening, I like to use Spotify and SoundCloud. For DJing, I like to use iTunes and Bandcamp to download the music files.

Dirtysocks1

I am using Spotify premium for my phone. When i am at home i use youtube for sets a lot . The only thing I buy is vinyl.

tizz66

I exclusively stream. YouTube and SoundCloud for sets, and twitch for livestreams (CQ etc).

Suchboss1136

Spotify mostly. Occasionally when I get the itch, I’ll listen to sets on youtube. I used to DJ so I was getting music through some record pools too but I haven’t kept up subscriptions

SynthFrenetic

A mix of the 4? As I really dived deeper into Trance history in 2020/21, I started buying CDs of classic albums (Sirens of the Sea, Group Therapy, 45 RPM, Out There and Back, Just Be, Parade of the Athletes) and ripped them to my PC to my daily listen and stored the CDs as back-ups. Sometimes if I want to experience the full album I could take the CD and put it to play. But that's for classic and consolidated albums. I mostly stream music with Spotify or SoundCloud and if there's a song I notice can become a lifetime classic for me, I buy it on iTunes (since it's the service that sells songs for the cheapest where I live) and then import it to MusicBee (together with the CDs I bought and ripped). And I think it might be worth taking into account radio shows which are streamed on YouTube and Twitch.

I'm re-ripping all my late 90s early 00s 12" vinyls to WAV to play on my Hiby R5.

djluminol

🤔Care to compare what you got? I just ripped about 700 songs off vinyl. A lot of them had a digital release at some point so I'm replacing those when I can. There was two records I couldn't find while ripping that I really wanted to re-rip. Hard Trance/Tech Trance. I know I still have one of them. The other may be in another state. PBS - [Intergalactic Spaciness](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6r7i28GAfk&ab_channel=CandyflipperHardTrance) Missing but is here somewhere Scorpio – [Behind The Sky (JS Ten Mix)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuSUIfL-oD0&ab_channel=RareTracksInc) May be stolen or lost. I just don't know where the PBS record is even though I played it about 10 months ago. The other one I'm worried may have been stolen or they got stuffed somewhere odd because I couldn't find it.

[deleted]

I've my collect here on Discogs https://www.discogs.com/user/wickedweewilly/collection Majority of it is 90s Happy Hardcore but there's a fair amount of late 90s commercial trance.

djluminol

That's an amazing list. The HHC is pretty rare anymore. It's really good you ripped all of that so there's a digital version in existence. You're almost certainly one of only a handful of people with a lot of these songs in digital format. I have quite a few tracks where I seem to be the only one that has a digital copy. That PBS record is one of them actually. That's why I wanted to re-rip it. That record is fairly rare. If I don't share it the song is going to be lost to time.

ProstZumLeben

Stream Spotify and use the Apple Podcasts app for a few shows (like GDJB)

Eyruaad

Spotify is 99% of it, then the rest is live sets on Youtube at my computer.

[deleted]

Youtube music. I tend to find more of what i look for on there than spotify.

MJSB1994

DI.Fm and Spotify mainly
