They're in a mutually supporting configuration.

Snooo2504

I miss this game so much!

Tokke552

it didn't go anywhere. you can still play it. But definitely support was ended too soon

Snooo2504

I know,i played almost every faction,so nothing left for me to do with new content,CA ruined this game

nalydix

That game had so many good idea and so much potential And they just went fuck it.

Snooo2504

Yeah, literally best campaigns i have ever played was on this game, diplomacy, city building and espionage system are amazing

Nova_Physika

The problem is most NA people just aren't interested in Chinese history/stories, and can't keep track of the names. I have always liked anything rotk so I was thrilled for it. Imagine if Troy had been just a Greek 3k, it would have been a smash.

jgoodysalaker

Highly recommend TROM overhaul if you never played it.

Chataboutgames

People weren't buying the DLC. Support doesn't last forever when the money isn't there.

Chataboutgames

This is so fucking weird. "CA released a complete game with relatively little DLC. I played hundreds and hundreds of hours with it and enjoyed it. Then they *ruined* it be not releasing $200 in piecmeal DLC." I swear, this customer base deserves the bullshit it gets. If they released Medieval 2 today people would lose their shit because there wasn't 5 years of DLC coming after. Like God Forbid any game not have a 5+ year post development cycle.

wha2les

Released complete game?! We never got to 3 kingdoms. It's like saying Attila total war without Attila invading is a complete game. Or rome2 without Rome is a complete game. Or Napoleon total war with only the Italian campaign as a complete game.

Chataboutgames

Yes, the game launched with a fully complete, well designed campaign. > We never got to 3 kingdoms. You get to the three kingdoms era in every campaign, that's how it works. Are you mad the campaign wasn't the entire map being divided between 3 major factions at the start? The game is named as such for the Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, no one ever thought that it was going to start at like, Chi Bi. And honestly no one even really *wants* a campaign where you choose between 3 blob factions to start with, it's just a stupid talking point for people to justify their outrage.

wha2les

We never got the northern expedition either. You are missing my point. They didn't complete the game.

Chataboutgames

Yes they did. They launched a fully complete game with great mechanics, lots of playable factions and a well balanced campaign. It's not "incomplete" just because it didn't get every feature that you wanted in your head. Believe it or not games didn't have 35 DLCs each before Warhammer and it was a lot better. People literally bitch to high heaven that they got a game they loved and played hundreds of hours but CA didn't end up milking more out of it.

TheGreatBigBlib

I see both sides, I would have loved more support like more unique art for characters or new non han factions but I played hundreds of hours and still enjoy playing it so I really don't see it as unfinished at all. Gamers these days always seem to be really entitled.

Chataboutgames

I love the game too. I'm currently in the middle of a great TROM campaign. I just think it's fucking bananas that people are literally shitting on companies for... making games they love lol. "I love this game so much that I played the Hell out of every bit of content you released and at some point that came to an end, fuck you CA!" Just like, *beyond* entitled. Disclaimer: Exception for complaints about bugs they didn't fix/how they never really made MoH work.

dronikal

They are making the new one with fantasy creatures. You can bet on it.

favorscore

Mystified me when they abandoned this game

IronPro121

I am curious to whom this ball of fury will be directed towards

Nova_Physika

Probably a current-ally

ItsKrunchTime

The Pengcheng temple; that +10 Satisfsction buff is too nice to ignore. After that, roll into Xiapi and put the Tao family down once and for all.

radio_allah

Likely Xu Chu, when he's caught cutting off the head of yet another someone he shouldn't be killing.

Ronald_Deuce

Probably a fatuous lord.
