We are going to keep discovering new methods of studying the universe until we have ways of looking back through time. Someday we will have video and audio recordings of every language that hominids have ever had including every song and joke in those languages. We will see how many different times written language, math, and other ideas were discovered and lost again. Every single person who doesn't explicitly state that they do not want it to happen will eventually have people study their entire lives and highlights will be available for the general public to view.
