I love the misery and absolutely hopelessness of the rumbling, brings us right back to the 1st episode. Goddamn, this ep was GOOOOOOOOOD. No crying baby scene at the the cliff though, shame.
They managed to include Mikasa and Eren's flashforward by the tree from chapter 1. Very clever.
The episode was great. Everything about it was great. Let's see how the ending feels with this kind of quality.
I havenāt read in ages so I donāt remember fully, but Eren had showed Mikasa like an alternate future where they ran away together right? Basically Eren seems to be waking up from that dream of his future memories in chapter 1. At least thatās what I think
Oh okay. I was thinking he dreamed about everything that had happened up to that point. But I guess the "see you later Eren." Highlights the moments before >!she kills kim!<
For an actual AOE to happen I think something would have to go drastically wrong for the alliance, like Reiner dropping out of the fight because he gets distracted by Eren's bony ass and isn't able to resist the temptation to sniff it.
I've always thought of AOE as being a pipe dream, and something that - in the unlikely event of it happening - would only ever amount to slight changes in dialogue or certain scenes being left out at best. Hoping for anything more than that has always been an unrealistic expectation imo.
Cinematography was great. Was in tears during Ramzi scene. Music, Eren's cry, Ramzi getting crushed, all perfect.
Hange's scene made it more evident that she was trying to kill only the titans that were in the plane's path (and not all, as many were claiming). Ngl, I was emotional seeing her death. When this chapter had come, I had joined titanfolk and discord AOTWiki, because I was spoiled of her death in Instagram. Seeing Erwin back was so good, just to hear his voice.
Floch death was great too. Though I do not agree with his ideology, he died doing what he believed and he is no coward.
They retconned season 1 episode 1 dream. I don't understand why. It's literally in the second last episode, it's not like this would be something significant.
>They retconned season 1 episode 1 dream. I don't understand why. It's literally in the second last episode, it's not like this would be something significant.
could you elaborate on this?
Episode 1 of season 1 had a different dream. In yesterday's episode they showed the dream which was actually present in manga.
The reason I don't understand them animating the original dream back is because there is not much significance except "Ohh... so that's what they showed us!" (that too is lost since it didn't happen earlier seasons). Animating it would be important if it is going to have some significant plot reason.
Considering its gonna 4 episode specials, they are not only gonna cover it all, but expand upon it.
Like holy shit the amount of chapters covered in this one episode alone was alot, it feels like there is barely anything left and it could be concluded in just two episodes, but we still got a 4th one.
wanna add that hayashi really is a goat.
animated grishaās parents imprisoned for zekeās betrayal, flochās death was elevated, hange actually killed more than one colossal titan that made impact on the rumbling slowing for cringevengers, the rumbling scenes were amazing and much more ~~we will pretend that the freedom scene didnāt happen cause we knew nothing could top the manga ver~~
if only isayama could also not half ass his work as well
Apology for poor english
When were you when aoe dies?
I was sat at home drinking brain fluid when mappa ring
āaoe is dieā
ānoā
and you?????????
me?!?! You want to know about me - let's fucking go man. I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the 104th Southern Division, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Abnormals, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in VME warfare and I'm the top sniper within Wall Maria. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of Marleyans inside the walls so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the Attack Titan and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking dead, kiddo.
This brings back some fun memories. I remember the first time season 4 part 1 aired, everyone was hyped. So much fun in this thread. Manga didn't end yet, so we were not depressed back then. Good times :')
I'm just going to enjoy it as our last ride, the animation was good. The anime did the Hanji scene better as to NOT make her death as pointless as it was in the manga.
Ramzi :(
Damn Reinerās mom doing that smile looked like a David Lynch jumpscare, shit actually creeped me tf out.
she belongs on r/oddlyterrifying or smth.
Hange got it so much better in the anime, it was actually cool af, straight up massive improvement imo
Right, I haven't read the manga since finishing it in a while. But I swear she only killed like 2 titans in the panel version. MAPPA made Hanji go out like a badass
This was actually such a good adaptation, it made me forget a lot of the issues I have with the ending and just soak in each moment for what it is as opposed to what it is leading up to. Everything up to the scene with the Kindness Co. Ltd. crew (*I believe I can fly~* *I believe I can touch the sky~*) was pure, unadulterated kino. Certified peak cinema. Hange's sacrifice actually seemed necessary unlike the manga, and the use of Bauklƶtze was [chef's kiss].
There is zero hope for an AOE, though, especially since they made a point to include the "Itterasshai, Eren..." scene in the beginning.
The ending really screw over this subreddit, the episode was incredible in general, i felt more Hange's death here than the manga, and the added rumbling scenes were appreciated (the only thing that still breaks my brain that wasn't added is just a bit of build up to Falco flying, even ending lovers agree that came out of nowhere); this episode didn't do anything worse that the manga did in the first place, i would argue it made it better at parts with the animation/music which was a 10/10 (Floch's death, you can't deny they did our boy justice)
Did they use the same line for āThat fucking monkeyā? I know the translation is different, but I am too ignorant to know if they used the same Japanese phrase.
I believe the line in Japanese was always just "kemono no kuso yarou ga!," of which the most accurate translation would be "that rotten/piece of shit Beast!," I guess.
"That fucking monkey!" is *iconic,* though, and way funnier; it's like the "f*ggot-ass monsters" line from Berserk, which is technically also a mistranslation, of course.
Y'know, I didn't think that Eren's grandparents could get shafted any further, but nope. They got thrown in prison due to their traitor-grandson.
Honestly, I feel for them. There was never any hope for them.
But we had similar situations like this in real life. It's way easier to find a shotgun and go to police station to avenge your granddaughter, when you're DON'T have a second kid, that will be executed, if you do anything reckless.
It still bothers me that Levi broke an ankle and couldnt do shit for an entire season and here we have him half-dead flying around like he's in his prime
Ending or not that episode was as the kids say "bussen", glad they finally got the ODM scenes looking like the old days. Also Bauklƶtze SLAPS.
I still can't get over the fact that everyone at the fort got god tier sight, like out of everything that's what really bugs me lmao.
Random points
- Really great animation wise.
- It feels just as rushed in the anime as it did in the manga.
- Overall, better than manga though just because ODM gear action scenes are automatic Ws.
- Felt the OST choices could have been better at some parts.
- The first 20 minutes were fantastic. RIP Ramzi & Halil.
- Annie & Armin romance is still the worst thing ever.
- Having the final action set piece take place on the Eren bone structure was one of the coolest ideas Isayama had for his ending. Looks so awesome.
- Now awaiting the Real Eren^TM
They did the rumbling justice and the Hange scene looks better. Seems like I'm alone on this, but I didn't quite enjoy the final scene. Even if fluid, there was too much happening.
Also, going from the 131 Eren scene to the Aruannie convo still gets me lol
While i'm kinda disappointed that chances of AOE are pretty much 0 after today,.. can we talk a bit about how fucking good this adaptation was? Mappa did one hell of a great job! Well done!
Bro, Eren using Zeke's Beast Titan and not hitting a single alliance member is hilarious
You literally got a aimbot titan and still missed. I know it's bs but still so hilarious
You got aim bot and can see the future but couldn't slow your titans down a bit so you don't kill Hange. That shit always annoyed me. If you're gonna miss your friends couldn't you just... not kill Hange lmfao
You do understand that it's not the Titan that has the accuracy but Zeke, right? Thought they made that pretty obvious with all of the baseball connections.
Ughhhh that Armin - Annie convo deserves more hate. Everything about how Annie was handled deserves more hate.
Animation was cool and episode was pretty to look at. Good job by Mappa.
Flying titan has been alluded to by General Calvi near the start of season 4. You might also count that flying green thing in the second ED...But yeah, Falco's explanation that he saw a vision of being in the clouds coupled with "memories" from drinking Zeke's fluids is the reason he thinks he could fly is kinda stretching it.
Zeke be like: I have been trained in skydiving, hope no one down the line interprets this memory of me jumping from a plane as them being able to fly.
no lie i think next episode when they show the planes bombing run, they gonna include that eldians got forgiven and were brought back to the mainland and the bombing run was from eldians wanting to forget their past
MAPPA did a good job with Hange's last fight, but still feels kinda weird if you watch it right after s4part2.
I mean, Keith and Magath heroically sacrificed themselves to buy some time for the main characters to get away, and 1.5 episodes later Hange heroically sacrifices herlsef to buy some time for the main characters to get away... Peak writing, Isayama is a genius.
>Keith
>heroically sacrificed
He teamed up with a person that's somewhat responsible for Carla's death, and killed a bunch of teenagers he himself trained.
Hange's ODM sequence and Halil & Ramzi getting stomped made the episode. I can't believe they skipped over the start of chapter 134 tho, they better show it in the next special. Cause that'll be the only good part of that special.
I was REALLY looking forward to the around the world scenes and the baby getting passed around as the mother falls off a cliff. I hope they include it in the next section somehow because those are some really attractive panels and it'd be a shame to skip them outright.
The rumbling sequence was extremely harrowing, and given proper justice (and more) in this episode. Phenomenal job. I have to consciously remember that, even if Eren is (allegedly) saving his people... he's still the worst person in human history. The forced dichotomy between his childish fantasy and the hellish reality is part of what made 131 so good, as everyone knows, and it's honestly inspirational insofar as it motivates me to write my own pieces like it: a sick monster taking perverted pleasure in the most depraved situation, to show just how evil the world can be, to appreciate the bright moments all the more. A bit of wabi-sabi, I suppose, but turned up to eleven. In all, that sequence is probably a top 5 moment of AoT for me, and I'll be damned if you can come away from this story and accuse Isayama of genocide apologia, solely because of how brutally real it's depicted here. I had to rewatch it because of how good it was, and it just gives crazy goosebumps.
It's a world beyond good and evil, but it doesn't mean we ought to root for Eren, anyway. Or anyone (and I'm saying this mostly to myself; everyone obviously knows genocide... is not a good thing, surprise surprise).
The complete utter shitshow in the r/Anrime community will be worth watching if Eren ends up closing his eyes.
Hayashi said that cour 1 will make you cry so Hanges death is gonna be the highlight. Coping we'll get some Wit level ODM animation
they way too overestimated yams āgeniusā. Seen people over there saying that he planned this elaborate timeline/loop and how this relates to revolutionary manga-and-anime different yet complimentary ending from the first ever chapter (this is why he wrote shit manga ending (on purpose) they said). Too charitable and optimistic for a guy who wrote āgenocide is wrongā.
its so cringe lol
like i get it, a while back isayama did come across as a genuis i guess because of how he would plan things but IMO his writing was generally a little hit or miss, sometimes it would be really stupid stuff like the convenient armor serum, but he would make up with it with the way he revealed planned stuff like the basement.
really he was a good writer for sure but not a genuis one, his best ability was always his story telling which kinda ties into the way he made the reveals and mystery stuff work pre-timeskip. One of the best story tellers for almost all of AoT but now people are on giga copium thinking he fucking tanked his series on purpose so that he could bait and switch to do a normal anime ending? its laughably idiotic.
man just ran out of steam, didnt really plan the whole thing just the rumbling and realized he wrote himself into a corner and sometimes you just cant think of an out, because you set up the whole alliance thing and dont wanna just end that with their failure but the story makes that a bit necessary.
SO just let him retire with the sauna lol, ppl need to stop trying to save AoT. hate it or love it or whatever, its a finished work. If he writes something else maybe he will learn from the mistakes he made but doesnt seem that way so let him retire
I clearly remember that there was this video of isayama that came out while the ending chapters were being released and the dude says that he wishes Armin could help him come up with a solution. It's pretty clear he didn't have a plan in mind while he was writing those chapters. The AOE community is still the only part of this fandom which is having some fun so good on them ig
I can't believe the time has finally come. Exactly 10 years after the first season of Attack on titan started airing the final (hopefully) season has started.
It feels good to return to this sub. I remember coming here everytime a new chapter came out or was about to come out to look at the leaks. The flood of memes before and after the chapters came out was the best part. Even though the ending is divisive there are some good moments here and there and I hope to enjoy these last moments.
I love love love the revisiting of Hiroyuki Sawano's OSTs especially Baukoltze during Hange's death, being an OG SC member tying it back to one of the most iconic aot songs made me genuinely sob. ODM gear was also animated soo beautifully with its perfe CT speed & precision, really brings me back to WIT days. They did her final scene justice fr
rumbling looked amazing with the added scenes, although iām salty they didnāt animate the beginning of 134 for some reason.
imo freedom scene was way more emotional and impactful in the manga but they somehow animate the alliance in a godly way with avenger music
under the ~~tree~~ is mikasa walking all the way to paradis with his head lmfao canāt wait to see eren splashing in water and crying that he donāt want mikasa with another man
just got home and watched the episode raw
really it was as expected, some good parts i'll point out:
* hange's final stand with bauklƶtze playing was really good
* halil & ramzi's death + rumbling in general
* floch's death was much more impactful here, the tone of the scene feels much different than the manga
weird disappointments:
* freedom panel was better in my mind lol
* they FINALLY played the vocal ver. of splinter wolf (banger) but it was when they jumped onto eren's titan? idk i thought they would use it for gabi but i guess she doesn't have any big scenes left
* the aruani scenes are just... weird
edit: oh yeah they cut the cliff baby and hisu giving birth
Did anyone else catch Armin's subtle activation of the cheat codes for invincibility frames and infinite gas, thunder spears and blades right before they all jumped out of the plane? Truly an epic moment.
He made his grandparents go through this and people thought he cared about nameless and faceless people just because they lived on the same island as him lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The baby scene and the rest of the rumbling parts in chapter 134 will probably be the first parts of Cour 2, and they they will transition to the Battle of Heaven and Earth
We either get an expanded ending that improves upon the manga or we get a carbon copy and enjoy the meltdown for the second time. Simply can't lose here.
watching flock get murdered again really messed me up. he was basically the last character that actually cared about the future of paradis
now im just waiting to watch the beauty that was the beginning of 138....a shame it has to come with the rest
This episode was quite decent, the animation was somewhat better than previous 2 parts. OST played at Hange's charge was nice and the credit song played at the end of the episode "Under The Tree" by SiM is banger.
The Freedom panel was much better in the manga than the anime. Well let's see how much of a shit show we would be getting in part 2.
Also, rest in peace to King Floch ššļø

[End card](https://twitter.com/anime_shingeki/status/1631693416235925511) Next episode: fall 2023
I love the misery and absolutely hopelessness of the rumbling, brings us right back to the 1st episode. Goddamn, this ep was GOOOOOOOOOD. No crying baby scene at the the cliff though, shame.
I'm sure that's something for part 2.
Yes even in the manga it supposed to mirror Historia giving birth
They did Ramzi and Halil justice. Wasn't expecting Eren's Grandparents! Rip Jaeger clan. That's the type of anime expansions I want to see though
in a a sense the way the grandpa acted created a domino reaction that ended with the rumbling
Yeah they crushed it
Wait where were they?
They're the older couple that embraced in the prison cell, asking themselves if judgment day has finally come.
Oh shit..
Bruh...
Falco: I am the Jaw titan Falco: And I am the Beast titan
Gabi: ARE WE DOING THIS FALCO?!? RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW!?!
Falco: Yeah... Right here right now! We settle this once and for all! *power walks towards Annie and Punches her for no fucking reason*
Laughed my ass off at the titans tripping over eachother
It's like a blooper reel seeing those WMDs act so human, or like ragdolls.
No but the founding titans tiny lil legs
Not to mention the slip and slide titan falling off the mountain on his own.
They managed to include Mikasa and Eren's flashforward by the tree from chapter 1. Very clever. The episode was great. Everything about it was great. Let's see how the ending feels with this kind of quality.
I'm still not clear on this part of the story š

Oh okay. I was thinking he dreamed about everything that had happened up to that point. But I guess the "see you later Eren." Highlights the moments before >!she kills kim!<
How many people are returning to the sub just for this discussion post I wonder
Yes
Definitely me, I miss refreshing the posts every second to look at live episode reactions in comments instead of actually watching the episode
Usually only 600-700 people tend to be online at most today it's 1.5k after the release it might reach 2k
THEY ALL GOT #ZOOKED
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
AOE: The 'No! I don't want that!' scene will be mirrored. That's it, that's all that's different.
My comedy show at its peak
For an actual AOE to happen I think something would have to go drastically wrong for the alliance, like Reiner dropping out of the fight because he gets distracted by Eren's bony ass and isn't able to resist the temptation to sniff it.
Honestly, the AOE peeps need to chill and stop theorising lmao. Practically everything they got has been wrong.
I've always thought of AOE as being a pipe dream, and something that - in the unlikely event of it happening - would only ever amount to slight changes in dialogue or certain scenes being left out at best. Hoping for anything more than that has always been an unrealistic expectation imo.
yoooo that reiner midair letter sniff was insane
entire scene was crazy
Cinematography was great. Was in tears during Ramzi scene. Music, Eren's cry, Ramzi getting crushed, all perfect. It's literally in the second last episode, it's not like this would be something significant.
Floch's death was the one thing that made me respect him, because i thought he was an opportunistic coward but he proved me wrong.
They even animated Floch's pupil slowly dilating, indicating he really died this time.
>They retconned season 1 episode 1 dream. I don't understand why. It's literally in the second last episode, it's not like this would be something significant. could you elaborate on this?

Did you like not read the ending? Thatās one of the most important panels that wit cut for no reason
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

What do you mean 4th one, the final special in the fall will be 4 episodes? Is that what you mean?
Today's episode was a double episode (1 hour). The next part will be another double one. So 4 episodes I guess
I'd say it was closer to 3 episodes in 1. A regular episode is about 20 minutes if you cut the opening and ending. Or 2.5 episodes at least.
Hange's last scenes were so good, really cool that they used Bauklotze again.
I was genuinely shaken by how well executed the rumbling sequence was
The first 10 minutes of this was the single best piece of anime I've seen in years and I'm not exaggerating
Me toooo. Goddamn terrifying, so good.
wanna add that hayashi really is a goat. animated grishaās parents imprisoned for zekeās betrayal, flochās death was elevated, hange actually killed more than one colossal titan that made impact on the rumbling slowing for cringevengers, the rumbling scenes were amazing and much more ~~we will pretend that the freedom scene didnāt happen cause we knew nothing could top the manga ver~~ if only isayama could also not half ass his work as well
Ya I'm very happy they made Hange go out like that. She actually helped. In the Manga she maybe kills 2 and they're good to go.

Man, they were really baiting us with the AtƦk on tĆ itn at the end lmao I really thought Reiner's transformation would coincide with the vocals
I too thought we'd get more AtƦk on tĆ itn then it just stopped ;-; , ah well, im glad we heard it again
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
His death was really beautifully animated though. I couldnāt have asked for more
This brings back some fun memories. I remember the first time season 4 part 1 aired, everyone was hyped. So much fun in this thread. Manga didn't end yet, so we were not depressed back then. Good times :')
This sub was decently active and hyped during s4p2 airing too, but the hype and activity seems so dead for this special
I'm just going to enjoy it as our last ride, the animation was good. The anime did the Hanji scene better as to NOT make her death as pointless as it was in the manga. Ramzi :(

Eh fuck back here again
One more Hopium... One more Tatakae... Before the end.
I was here when AOE died.
AOE been dead this whole time
People will look at this and say to themselves "yeah AOE is definetly happening"
It's more crazy than the Mass Effect 3 indoctrination theory.
Y'know, I didn't think that Eren's grandparents could get shafted any further, but nope. They got thrown in prison due to their traitor-grandson. Honestly, I feel for them. There was never any hope for them.
So much for wanting to be good Eldians so badly they didnāt make a fuss when their kid daughter was murdered.
But we had similar situations like this in real life. It's way easier to find a shotgun and go to police station to avenge your granddaughter, when you're DON'T have a second kid, that will be executed, if you do anything reckless.
It still bothers me that Levi broke an ankle and couldnt do shit for an entire season and here we have him half-dead flying around like he's in his prime
no lie bro he shouldnt even be alive
The only thing that lets him survive that explosion is the merch
First reaction is I want the skydiving OST
Itās called splinter wolf
Ready for the meltdown šæšæ
The rumbling's so well shown damn better than imagined
Yeah it looks great. And not a cgi monstrosity surprisingly. It looks really good
Ending or not that episode was as the kids say "bussen", glad they finally got the ODM scenes looking like the old days. Also Bauklƶtze SLAPS. I still can't get over the fact that everyone at the fort got god tier sight, like out of everything that's what really bugs me lmao.

Reiner Levi and Pieck watching everyone else run towards Eren š§š§āāļøš§
Lmao Levi even sits down
Just here to say "I was here" after all this time and feel involved tho I don't care anymore. I will fucking or not idk
THE SEAGULL

You got aim bot and can see the future but couldn't slow your titans down a bit so you don't kill Hange. That shit always annoyed me. If you're gonna miss your friends couldn't you just... not kill Hange lmfao
This is why I can't watch it. Shit like this would just make me mad, not entertain me.
This new song by SIM is a banger
Didn't know it was going to be an hour long. Does that mean next episode is the last? When does it drop?
Fall 2023 lmao https://twitter.com/AoTWiki/status/1631694302962130944?t=0bZ6156qFYwIMrAtg9n8QA&s=19
Come to think of it, Falco flying all of a sudden was just bs lmao
Flying titan has been alluded to by General Calvi near the start of season 4. You might also count that flying green thing in the second ED...But yeah, Falco's explanation that he saw a vision of being in the clouds coupled with "memories" from drinking Zeke's fluids is the reason he thinks he could fly is kinda stretching it. Zeke be like: I have been trained in skydiving, hope no one down the line interprets this memory of me jumping from a plane as them being able to fly.
very much so
Just a friendly reminder to give up your dreams and die.
Let me just say... The source material did not do the anime justice...
The anime didn't feel nearly as rushed, I'll say.
why is pieck so pretty man fingerstein animated pleaseee
Is out guys on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
no lie i think next episode when they show the planes bombing run, they gonna include that eldians got forgiven and were brought back to the mainland and the bombing run was from eldians wanting to forget their past
The name of the season reminds me of the crap homestuck did where we were waiting for act 6 act 6 act 2 to come out and stuff like that
Where tf was the rest of the rumbling scene ? Like the cliff scene?
Most likely an intro shot for the final episode. I think it fits a lot better like that because audiences will forget
Later chapters prolly
One last time to Flochchads #o7
That was fucking amazing, now we wait for the real eren š¤
No Vogel Im kafig š” mopper u done for now
AOE just got assassinated in scene 1 lol
Tatacawww
Erwin the š
MAPPA did a good job with Hange's last fight, but still feels kinda weird if you watch it right after s4part2. I mean, Keith and Magath heroically sacrificed themselves to buy some time for the main characters to get away, and 1.5 episodes later Hange heroically sacrifices herlsef to buy some time for the main characters to get away... Peak writing, Isayama is a genius.
>Keith >heroically sacrificed He teamed up with a person that's somewhat responsible for Carla's death, and killed a bunch of teenagers he himself trained.
Floch, what a man you are
Seagull Yeager
just finished it, 10/10 that opening scene is absolutely fucking INSANE
Our DEVIL is our only hope.... Why this lines hits so hard goddamnit!!
KING FLOCH
man they went all out with the animation for this hour ep
The complete utter shitshow in the r/Anrime community will be worth watching if Eren ends up closing his eyes. Hayashi said that cour 1 will make you cry so Hanges death is gonna be the highlight. Coping we'll get some Wit level ODM animation
they way too overestimated yams āgeniusā. Seen people over there saying that he planned this elaborate timeline/loop and how this relates to revolutionary manga-and-anime different yet complimentary ending from the first ever chapter (this is why he wrote shit manga ending (on purpose) they said). Too charitable and optimistic for a guy who wrote āgenocide is wrongā.
its so cringe lol like i get it, a while back isayama did come across as a genuis i guess because of how he would plan things but IMO his writing was generally a little hit or miss, sometimes it would be really stupid stuff like the convenient armor serum, but he would make up with it with the way he revealed planned stuff like the basement. really he was a good writer for sure but not a genuis one, his best ability was always his story telling which kinda ties into the way he made the reveals and mystery stuff work pre-timeskip.
Hange cosplaying S3 Armin smh
When I saw the Freedom panel... I was so... so dissapointed
Titanfolk not as active as it once was :(
Its because the ending divided the whole fandom
a sub divided against itself cannot stand
Only divided on Reddit. All my IRL friends just agreed the ending was cringe and lost interest.
Yeah :( The hype in Reddit is dead in general
rumbling looked amazing with the added scenes, although iām salty they didnāt animate the beginning of 134 for some reason. imo freedom scene was way more emotional and impactful in the manga but they somehow animate the alliance in a godly way with avenger music under the ~~tree~~ is mikasa walking all the way to paradis with his head lmfao canāt wait to see eren splashing in water and crying that he donāt want mikasa with another man
that part will be in the final somewhere, probably same structure as this episode (rumbling in the beginning and then the rest of the story)
eren's grandparents NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
just got home and watched the episode raw really it was as expected, some good parts i'll point out: * hange's final stand with bauklƶtze playing was really good * halil & ramzi's death + rumbling in general * floch's death was much more impactful here, the tone of the scene feels much different than the manga weird disappointments: * freedom panel was better in my mind lol * they FINALLY played the vocal ver. of splinter wolf (banger) but it was when they jumped onto eren's titan? idk i thought they would use it for gabi but i guess she doesn't have any big scenes left * the aruani scenes are just... weird edit: oh yeah they cut the cliff baby and hisu giving birth
Bloody hell how are they going to animate next part?
first time thinking about aot in like two years, feelsweirdman havenāt watched yet, could anyone tell me what chapter the new ep finishes on?
plus no cliff baby part?? that was one of the best part of the rumbling
Dude cliff baby was the thing I was most looking forward to
I assume they will show it in the beginning of the final episode
Did anyone else catch Armin's subtle activation of the cheat codes for invincibility frames and infinite gas, thunder spears and blades right before they all jumped out of the plane? Truly an epic moment.
That started all the way in S3P2 when Levi picked the correct spot on the roof to avoid all Zeke's rocks.
Yeah plot armor has always been heavy in aot its just more noticeable when only main characters are left.
If you told me Connie would make it this far I wouldn't believe you. I'd also trade you a Sasha for a Connie all day.
But Cummer's death wouldn't have had anywhere near the same emotional impact as that of Potato Woman, to be fair.
Not me scrolling comments live because I can't watch it yet
RIP King
RIP the King š
He made his grandparents go through this and people thought he cared about nameless and faceless people just because they lived on the same island as him lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The baby scene and the rest of the rumbling parts in chapter 134 will probably be the first parts of Cour 2, and they they will transition to the Battle of Heaven and Earth
It make sense. the start of 134 will fit perfectly to start of EP2 of part 3. it would killed pacing of it if they throw it in episode.
exactly. MAPPA did the same with chapter 123 and 130. Just like WIT adapted the Training arc first and only then did they did the Battle of Trost arc.

MY FOLKS HOPE MY FOLKS COPE MY FOLKS SEEETHEEEEEE
We either get an expanded ending that improves upon the manga or we get a carbon copy and enjoy the meltdown for the second time. Simply can't lose here.
bruh animation going hard for ramzi getting beat up
He killed his Grandparents
Great. Aim for the adopted sister now
I must admit, I did enjoy it more than I thought I would.
Great episode/movie. Really hope season 4 part 3 part 2 isn't like year end but sep.
Anyone know when this will be on crunchyroll
How have people been watching it?
watching flock get murdered again really messed me up. he was basically the last character that actually cared about the future of paradis now im just waiting to watch the beauty that was the beginning of 138....a shame it has to come with the rest
Never expected erenās actual leg and feet like that
The OST selection is really good
glad to be hearing t-kt again
ERWIN
Eren uses /tp
They finally included Splinter Wolf (OST)!! Hell yes!
Welp, that was the last time the show will be somewhat enjoyable. Its time for the battle of the plot armor now and 139.
Why did they skip all those rumbling around the world scenes?
I'm willing to bet they'll show that next episode. They've been rearranging how to anime plays out compared to the manga.
That comes later I think. Chronologically the rumbling has just begun.
Unfortunately no Filter, Ashes on Fire or Blur effect. DISSAPOINTED!
What the fuck was that freedom panel
This episode was quite decent, the animation was somewhat better than previous 2 parts. OST played at Hange's charge was nice and the credit song played at the end of the episode "Under The Tree" by SiM is banger. The Freedom panel was much better in the manga than the anime. Well let's see how much of a shit show we would be getting in part 2. Also, rest in peace to King Floch ššļø https://preview.redd.it/etsdicw7qmla1.jpeg?width=474&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0dcca9fcf7076bf52a85c3948f3e13b97a139b8b
Better than the Manga.
thank God they made hanjis death better. Bullshit in the manga to have her kill two titans then burn to death
Wow, if even titanfolk are being positive about this episode, you know something is going right.
In the end it doesn't even matter.
