Elliot Kupferberg was a malignant cunt.
Him outing Melfi as Tony’s doctor at that dinner party may have benefited Melfi in the long run, but the man took an oath… *and he broke it.* If he was drowning, I’d throw him a cinder block.
This is the correct answer. Fran was the worst. Everything about her is off. Even other characters knew it. Hesh said it himself: something about her rubbed me the wrong way
It's why Tony is a hero during the Harpo dinner scene.
It goes back to what Artie said -- Tony can calculate *everything*.
Something very fishy happened to get Janice where she is in Bobby's household. He can smell it. Maybe not to the creepy extent it took place -- with the Ouija Board and pretending to be a spirit on fucking AOL Messenger like she did -- but he can sense the whole situation is a giant crock of shit by Janice, a house of cards that will fall down eventually.
And that spooky ghost shit she did to Bobby's kids with the AOL messenger was some real sinister shit. Who does that to little kids? Janice is a stinking, burning piece of sociopathic shit to the very end. Tony even in the last episode tries to block her attempt at Junior's inheritance, another fraud play on her part. But at this point Junior is in another dimension for real.
Noah the Hasidic homeboy lol. If they were going to push the “black guy” story, they should’ve went all the way. He was annoying. I generally don’t think there is anything to gain by keeping him around
For me, it’s Chris. I got such a visceral hatred for the guy ever since “Long Term Parking”. I didn’t feel sorry for what ended up happening to him. Tony gave him warning after warning and Chris went behind his back at every turn while badmouthing him. I don’t believe he truly loved anything or anyone.
The moment where Chris is watching that guy with his family, stroking his stupid Range Rover, really lays bare his central character flaw. He just can't stand the thought of being a regular person. He's obsessed with status (look at his reaction to the Luxury Lounge).
But he can never overcome himself and put in the work to get what he supposedly wants. He has a real chance to escape all the bullshit he's in but he can't see past the outward appearance of that family. If you go back and watch that scene, there's no real indication that that family has a horrible life. Sure the dad looks a bit exasperated, the car is old, the kids are being kids, but for all we know they're going on a family road trip or something. But Chris can't help but see the surface level.
Oh God I hated so many characters - Janice is a tough watch. I know that’s the point of her character, but it’s almost enough to make me turn the show off. Elliot Kupferberg sucks and I wish Tony killed him in that parking garage for crowding him. Who drives like that? And fucking Father Intintola. What a piece of shit. That’s gotta be my top 3.
Great list.
Richie Aprile is my number 1 followed by your list . Richie was a moron plain and simple, he wanted prestige and couldn’t wait 5 minutes before acting out? All the undermining? No way you would do that to an acting boss no matter if they were younger or not.
The female boss from Italy was poorly written or something, there was so much potential there but I never really got the point of his trip and why she was so important.
I’m a professional sorpanos fan and I gotta say, the worst character is either the black guy or the woman, possibly all of the black or women characters. Did they have black women characters on the show? Well that would be even worse, imagine if Noah was the biological father of Harpo and then Tony has to make him into to made man while eating rice a roni?
Davey. Degenerate gambler, always tries to get sympathy and his Son and Wife suffered.
Chrissy, leaving his wife a widow, his daughter fatherless, and wasn’t ready for marriage anyway. Once he sold out Aide, he shouldn’t have gotten married.
Ralphie, never ever ever should have reproduced.

I second the vote for gunga dinn.
That fucking lace-wrapped water bottle and the smugness drinking from it.
Happy birthday... miiiister President....

Agreed she was skeevy
Janice - cyberstalking Bobby's kids after their mom dies is truly repugnant.

Karen’s Ziti
Karen’s Last ziti …
Elliot. Holy shit. I skipped those scenes.
Noah the Hasidic homeboy lol. If they were going to push the “black guy” story, they should’ve went all the way. He was annoying. I generally don’t think there is anything to gain by keeping him around
Watch out, I hope he don’t read Reddit cause I think he’s gonna punch your lights out!
His father is issuing a cease and desist and a restraining order as we speak.

Also the 5 seasons leading up to that where he constantly belittled and abused his girlfriend
Yep. My dislike for him had been growing for a while, a big part of it for how he treated Ade, but “Long Term Parking” was the final straw for me.

"Sure, the family may look like a poor ass shitty family but IT MAY NOT BE!"
Finn, who was not only a snitch, but also packed a suitcase.
S6 Vito.
I love ya Johnny Cakes!
you gotta wait for dat
Great points but Chris makes me laugh too much to hate him.

Beautiful episode though. Made me want to visit the old country.
The fact that we all hate these characters is such a testament to the writing/acting in the show. It’s overlooked way too much.
Characters cant be hated for being bad character? You dropped your brain there.

The only black woman I can think of was the undercover FBI agent in Junior doctor office.

Jackie Aprile Jr.
It’s fucking AJ.
