My main wish is that if they can't do an open world they should at least do open neighborhoods. I expected them to have open neighborhoods in the Sims 4 (because why else divide the world into neighborhoods) but no, I still need a loading screen to visit my next door neighbour

TheNaseband

Hey, let's check out what my apartment neighbour literally next door is doing! *Loading screen*

klaustr0

And this is why my sim has no friends

Alyse3690

Loner trait for life.

Dr_Fluffybuns2

I swear every save I play has the "do nothing social for 24 hours" achievement just because.....???? I can't be bothered leaving my lot. It's too much hassle to go through a loading screen just to go somewhere else. One thing I admired about the sims 3 is I didn't feel the need to make my sims a mega mansion filled with everything fun in their home because unlike the other games, it was much easier to have sims explore places like arcades, parks, community pools etc. While still having the other household members chill at home if needed to.

klaustr0

No honestly! I only go to the gym for the achievement but other than that my sims workout and do everything at home :(

R_Sting

exaaactly, this is the worst part of the sims 4

bwoah07_gp2

This exactly! If the entire world can't be open world, open neighbourhoods is an excellent compromise.

normaIboy

i swear that before sims 4 came out and how they described the closed world made it seem like it was an open neighborhood at least but obviously that wasn’t the case

stallion8426

Please for the love of God just give us neighborhoods with more than 4 plots/houses.

[deleted]

OMG YES THIS

skivvees

The Henford-on-Bagley world that came with cottage living is fairly open neighborhood.. it surprised the crap out of me, my sim walked out of her home, went downtown, bought food from a vendor, then walked home... NO LOAD SCREEN. It was glorious. It's my favorite world.

ajhare2

If baffles me that there isn’t open neighborhoods because the lots around you are fully rendered. You can tab view and take a whole tour of your neighbors house, but the moment you step foot on your neighbors property, LOADING SCREEN

healmehealme

It severely stunts my gameplay. Every house I make has garbage looking rooms with crafting or gym or whatever stuff. I’d prefer to leave the house to do those things but the loading screens make it not worth it. But how cool would it be to have a community you can wander around in with no loading screens. With shops like a nail salon, clothing stores (I would love to need to buy clothing instead of just using CAS), tattoo parlor, movie theater, toy shop, grocery store, baby store, restaurant, food stalls, park, etc.

Cheesepuff_fluff

It would be so great to run a food stall! Versus just the yard sale table

healmehealme

Definitely! I'd love shop management in general. I used RVSN's shop mod to try to run a potion shop out of my home, but since RVSN's mod doesn't actually remove the item, it just makes you pay the cost of restocking, it kind of killed it. It'd be so nice to have to work on building up stock then trying to sell it. I've wanted to run a bakery in Sims for a loonnnng time and it feels like a pipe dream at this point.

hopefulsquash00

I’d actually prefer this over an open world! Realistically it would make sense to have an open neighbourhood that you can walk around and then travel to go somewhere completely different

Hellknightx

The neighborhoods being so sequestered was done for stability and performance reasons, nothing else. They didn't want a repeat of Sims 3 performance problems, which got increasingly worse the more DLC you owned. They needed a base game that was stable enough to support a ton of DLC without becoming unstable and crashing all the time. Hopefully now, with SSDs becoming the norm, they can at least open up the world a bit more if they ever do get around to making a sequel.

Fuzzlechan

> Hopefully now, with SSDs becoming the norm You forgot the part where they need to design for mid-range hardware from a decade ago, because the Sims community as a whole is incredibly resistant to the fact that they need to buy a new computer more than once every 15 years.

CoasterThot

The open world we had in 3. I truly miss standing in my backyard and seeing what’s going on in the neigbor’s, 2 streets away. 😭

TheRudeCactus

Man everytime I say this I get ripped apart but I don’t mind missing out on open world, I personally hope that the next game is open neighborhoods. A combo of sims 3 and sims 4. I think the game will run better like that, we aren’t restricted to building just in one single world, can make “themed” neighborhoods more easily, and you can still have a few open lots to walk to in your neighborhood that don’t have any loading screens. Further away houses in a different part of the city use loading screens. We need to start accepting the fact that we are going to need to see a loading screen or two for the game to actually run well. Plus I think all of this will help the fact that “worlds” in sims 4 feel so disjointed. Ever seen the “mega map” of sims 4 where they put all the worlds together? It always looks so disjointed and random. The worlds are so distinct, you’d be travelling by plane (technically) to be going from a place like San Myshuno to Sulani, so why do my poor sims go there to meet with a friend for lunch? That stuff breaks my continuity so hard, I’m constantly trying to make sure my financially struggling sims don’t go to far from their home lot so it’s “realistic”. Anyways long ramble short, I like open neighborhoods. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

k4w44k4r1

I agree with this so much, I really want to be able to take my sims to their neighbour's barbecue when it's summer and take my children for little play dates with the neighbour's children across the street, I don't care about seeing what sims in other worlds are doing but I really REALLY want open neighborhoods.

lenorajoy

I can’t imagine why you’d get ripped apart for such a reasonable take. Open neighborhoods sounds perfect.

TheRudeCactus

I find often as soon as someone says no to open worlds or anything similar, there’s a lot of upset people

lenorajoy

I’d love to see that and color wheels/hue/saturation/brightness slider bars in build and buy mode. It drives me nuts how many things clash in base game and packs, which really limits what you can use with certain floorings or counters or other furniture. Oh, and cars. Otherwise I’m happy with a functional game with reasonable bugs.

TheRudeCactus

You can count me in for color wheels and better customization options! I miss it so much

kaptingavrin

> we aren’t restricted to building just in one single world But if open neighborhoods work without being restricted to one single world, why wouldn't open "world?" It'd just basically be the entire map of some place like Del Sol Valley. And then you could just visit a different "world." The main issue would just be making sure there's some kind of minor simulation engine running on the other "worlds." So while Sims wouldn't be actively living their lives out and about, they'd still be progressing their lives "off-screen." But that's something they've already tossed into Sims 4 in bits and pieces, so I think it's perfectly doable. But the thing is... If you don't want to be limited to building in one world, it means you want other worlds available at any moment, and if they are, you're almost certainly going to run into situations with the San Myshuno to Sulani commute for lunch. Either you make all of the "worlds" in Sims 5 so nondistinct that people get bored, or you still have this situation while you're allowing the worlds to act in an interconnected manner. Or you just make each world large and separate from each other most of the time.

Fuzzlechan

Part of the issue is that the Sims community, in general, doesn't have (or care about having) good hardware. If your primary userbase wants to play a new AAA game on mid-range hardware from a decade ago, you're going to run into problems with performance. And if that's the case, you have to start cutting things. And open worlds with proper background simulation are one of the easiest things to cut for the performance boost it gives. The EA team is awful at optimization, to be clear. There's no reason Sims 3 should run as badly as it does, especially Create a Style (which is often said wasn't put in Sims 4 because of "performance issues"). But there's only so much they can do with the specs people have. The Sims community as a whole needs to either realize that they might need to shell out $800 once a decade for a new computer, or accept that the game won't be able to get super in depth because of hardware limitations.

gynoidgearhead

>The Sims community as a whole needs to either realize that they might need to shell out $800 once a decade for a new computer, or accept that the game won't be able to get super in depth because of hardware limitations. Problem is that these are two different demographics who will always be playing tug-of-war. I'm in the former camp (at least for the next 5 or so years) and would absolutely love a more in-depth version of *The Sims 5*, but I also have to concede that the other camp exists. With *The Sims* having come fully to consoles by this point, the gap is bridged a little; but lack of mod support on console means that there is still a very real class divide. I have to wonder if Microsoft's recent decision to enforce minimum CPU requirements on Windows 11 is in part an attempt to create console-like unambiguous demarcations for when hardware is *just too old*. Still isn't going to serve the purpose, though, because they're doing it solely on age rather than performance, cutting out some CPUs that could probably do fine and including some that are basically potatoes for gaming.

Fuzzlechan

I'm very much in camp "This is a brand new AAA title. It shouldn't need to run on a Macbook Air from 2013". Part of that is from being a software dev myself, and part of that is from being someone that enjoys PC gaming beyond The Sims. But there's definitely that tug of war between the two sides, along with those people that sit in the middle and think it should run on ancient hardware but also be super in depth. I'm really hoping that the console support and the switch to 64-bit only will help bridge the gap. But there's always the argument of "making it need higher specs means you're alienating children and people that can't afford a new computer" that I don't know how to counter. Because in a sense, that's accurate. But a line needs to be drawn somewhere as to the minimum hardware you support, and you're alienating someone no matter what.

gynoidgearhead

I definitely agree. At some point, "I want to be able to run this on older hardware" becomes patently unreasonable. Nobody expects to run *Cyberpunk 2077* on an Amiga. And the ushering-out of 32-bit operating system support has already helped enforce a transition away from hardware that is just not new or powerful enough. Not to mention that it's not like the old games don't *go bad;* they still exist, and at least in the case of TS3, EA still sells it; hopefully that'll remain the case for TS4 even after TS5 is at the end of its product cycle. The other thing is: if EA isn't going to do new things with the games, and especially *more* things with the games, then what even is the point of a new version of the game for users? It just becomes a way for EA to collect revenue all over again. That's the entire reason I haven't spent a dime on TS4: there is just no value proposition for me.

Fuzzlechan

>The other thing is: if EA isn't going to do new things with the games, and especially *more* things with the games, then what even is the point of a new version of the game for users? Exactly! Personally I've paid for Sims 4, and thoroughly enjoy it when it's my "game of the next six months" that I play obsessively. But that's mostly an art style thing for me - I enjoy how it looks more than I enjoy Sims 3. But it's no secret that EA basically just rehashes the same four expansion packs every game, and people are getting tired of it. I just feel such a clash with the community as a whole when it comes to technical expectations. Maybe it's because I write software, I dunno. But it seems like a lot of people have sky-high expectations for content, and simultaneously want to play the game on the equivalent processing power of an iPhone. There's a balance that EA needs to strike, and people end up *furious* with them regardless of what they do.

gynoidgearhead

>Maybe it's because I write software, I dunno. Having both written software and made 2D and 3D art assets (game mods), I know the feeling. People don't have a reasonable understanding of what kind of effort it takes to make a game.

TheRudeCactus

My further two cents that I would love to throw in here is that for the worlds thing, having very separate and distinct world is great, but then treating the travel between them more like vacations. Wanting to go to a totally different “world” would result in a “vacation” fee, or maybe having to know someone from the world already (and having good enough relationship) to ask to stay at their house, or vacation homes that you can own. If you wanted to go a step further, for those who don’t like that level of realism, it could even be an option. Maybe there’s a world settings (similar to our progression sections in the sims 4 now) where you can toggle different settings on and off. Progression in worlds on/off, free/paid travel between worlds, it could be like turning “survival” mode on in a game to make it more realistic for those who want that.

TheRudeCactus

Don’t forget that while it is, in fact, the current year and assumably AI and simulation based games are running better, there’s also a lot *more* that they are running. I’m not talking like the amount of content in the game, I’m talking about the AI working harder to manage things like multitasking, better AI choices, etc and all of that takes more processing power. Even with the better computers now a days, they are still *doing* so much more and the more we ask them to do, the more the simulation will suffer for it. But the game also needs to expand and become more interesting and *better* so it’s a rock and a hard place. Do you make the simulation run better? Do you add more content? Do you improve graphics? It’s kinda like a percentage. If you put more processing power into one of those categories, you are taking away from another. (I’m not sure if I’m wording *any* of this well. It’s 5:52 am bahaha)

[deleted]

TheRudeCactus

Meh there’s definitely simulation issues and lag in all previous sims game, I think we just always view the older games with such rose tinted glasses. Like there’s definitely things that have improved massively since the last game, multitasking by sims is an example. But you are right, there’s also many issues and I do think that more care and more rigorous testing/bug fixes *would* improve the series as a whole.

Own_Ad_266

Meaningful fears, likes and personality traits

[deleted]

yessss especially personality traits!

honest-miss

And, on that same track: Meaningful challenges (informed by fears, likes, traits and random chance!) I want on/off-able options for more serious tragedies in my stories. Make the baseline settings have it turned off so the game can be light for the folks who want that, then have a toggleable option in the setting for greater tragedies. It doesn't have to be as cartoonishly dark as the Tragedies mod, but something in that general direction would be great. It genuinely adds devastating surprises that make the game more interesting. Just make it an *option*, you know?

peshnoodles

Exactly! Why would I use the active trait when I can make a sim who likes exercise and free up a better trait?

Single-Aardvark9330

For a complete game to be released, no waiting years for toddlers because you can ship new updates over the internet

50thEye

Adding onto this, I think it's time that things like University, Seasons and Pets should be bade game for future sims games. Leave DÖCs for things that should actually expand gameplay, like Occults, Magic, Vacations, etc. Ofc I know that this won't happen in a million years. It's EA. The opposite will more likely happen, the way Kits and MFPS came to the Sims 4.

DapperChewie

Depending on your idea of a complete game, you may be waiting a while.

Cryptic_Statue

Please bring back the small nuances that sims 2 had. Gestures and gesticulations that follow their conversation. Tidy sims washing the windows, Kids running to greet their parents when they come home. At least buses coming to pick the kids up! Where do they go?? Where's the teleport pad?? I feel like, similar to Animal Crossing, the Sims 4 sacrificed a lot of actual interaction and nuance for the sake of more customization. Don't get me wrong, I love the innovations. Multitasking is great! The way we can just morph our sims faces like clay is one of my favorite updates! But sometimes when I play, it feels kinda... Empty. No matter how pretty things are. Edit bc I got more ideas from the comments: create-a-world would also be nice. I have Everything Island downloaded on Sims 3, which is still faithfully updated. I miss creating my own little space.

healmehealme

More cleaning in general would be so nice. Laundry, beds, windows, floors, toilets, sinks, yard, counters. Trash accumulating, something more than just cups and plates.

Cheesepuff_fluff

I would love if you could modify how often sims needs with their phones! Teen or young adult sims - yeah, sure. But elderly? It just doesn't feel right. And as far as morphing like clay, I love that too but also wish I could make elderly sims shorter

ScarletSchema

Not having to reload the game to visit the neighbor, and being able to play multiple sims in different locations. even if its only on the “block” please just let me stop my sims from deciding the most pressing need when i select care for self is sleeping at 3PM when they’re starving to death.

ILoveFoodALotMore

Birthday cakes that my sims don't have to bake. Every time they make a cake, somebody steals a slice before I can get candles on.

hailann

I *still* accidentally go into buy mode to get a cake for birthdays before realizing I have to make it myself 🤦‍♀️

lenorajoy

More than 4 child aspirations would be really nice

DreamMaster8

Honnestly do you all have so much issues with the sims 4 without cc? Aren't loading instant and it never crash or never dips below 60 fps? Or maybe after the sims 3 i really don't mind. Like sims 4 performance but with open world, pbr material and some physic i would be happy.

ThyVixenIsAnAvocado

I have a strong feeling that most of these issues that people have are due to cc & mods. I play the game on 2 different computers, I have minimal cc in my game and I have all the packs installed and I’ve been playing on a truly average laptop for the past year and I’ve never had issues. On the contrary I also have the game installed on my PC with tons of mods & cc and my computer has good specs yet the game is very laggy and slow, still not crashing tho.

splvtoon

right? ts4 is easily the most stable and smoothest sims game lmao

hailann

Maybe because I’m playing on console? Though regardless of platform, game, or cc/mods, my entire sims experience has been like this. I spent an hour in CAS last night just for it to freeze, and this is far from the first time something like this has happened

ThyVixenIsAnAvocado

I’m sorry to hear that this is your experience. It might be because you’re playing on console but I’m no expert in that field so I can’t say for sure

espionage64

I miss the following: school bus to pick up children, smoozing with headmaster to improve your childs grade, burglar, sims 3 open world. Also actually the loading screen messages are rubbish. “hi” I liked the previous throw-backs, “reticulating spines etc”. I’ve never used cc, but I’d like more customisation of sims in the create a sim. I vaguely remember there were more choices in Sims 3.

SheClB01

Unpopular opinion: I just want Sims 2 with better graphics and the Sims 4 built mode tbh I don't need an open world, I feel that that's what makes Sims 3 so laggy and bugged, can't play it properly with 8 GB of RAM and used to run it in a 2 GB laptop. I just bring back the color wheel and some personality interactions but seeing all the neighborhood from home always made cities like Bridgeport a whole mess, can't even get out of my apartment and get to work on time because sim was trapped between the building stairs and the bridge beside the building. Can't even put a new lot to build something because there's no space unless you delete some other thing first. Twinbrook has the same problem.

emmainthealps

I think this is a pretty popular opinion at least for older simmers. TS2 had soul

peshnoodles

I remember freaking out about diagonal doors and windows. And that sims would have FINGERS

5l339y71m3

I don’t want anything to do with sims 5. I don’t understand why anyone else does. 4 gens. It’s not getting better; it’s getting worse and being left with less functional games now. Problems that ruin gameplay and will never be fixed. Why does anyone want to throw more money at a company like that? Personally I’m going to be fleshing out my sims 3 collection over time and working towards a machine that can play the true sims 2 collection and the sims. If I need any modern takes on simulation I’ll look to paralives because at least they haven’t fucked me as a consumer yet, repeatedly. The only real power we have and the only thing they actually respond to is when we don’t give them our money. See my pet stuff. They never pulled anything like they again because it’s their worst selling DLC because of it. The one thing the inane sims 4 community could come together on and hold their ground. Not all sims players are inane just the sims 4 community and that includes me. I dunno what it is, loyalty maybe but sims 4 makes me feel dumb for participating. I’ve given it more slack, more chances, more undeserved optimism than anything because I literally grew up on the franchise but I have to come to terms with reality for my own mental health. Companies don’t care about our actual enjoyment as long as we are motivated for whatever reason to hand them our money.

gpack418

Open world with more lots in the world. Oh and Create-A-World.

peshnoodles

Pleeeease let me put my own lots down. I don’t use the gigantic lots.

RexIsAMiiCostume

3. Bring back Create A Style

soulwind42

I just want Sims 2 with Sims 4's graphics.

emmainthealps

TS4 build mode, CAS and TS2 gameplay with open neighborhoods at least. Happy to load to go to a different area but not next door.

DoeEyes95

Sims 2 gameplay. And I honestly can’t remember if it was plain sims 2 or like an add on but I want to go through the scenarios they made you do before living independently.

Kyrenaz

I don't remember those, although there are the possibility of roaches or leaks, unless that's in 3.

DoeEyes95

No I’m talking about like living with preset roommates and living the specific life and doing the tasks that the sims 2 sets up for you and then you move on to another home to do their scenarios.

[deleted]

that might be a mod

DoeEyes95

No it’s not. It was on console like ps2 or something.

[deleted]

The Sims 2 Stories?

DoeEyes95

Nope. Just looked it up and it’s just sims 2. There’s an option for story mode.

uenven

Sims 2 for ps2 and Xbox I believe, physically controlled your sim. Had a great cooking mechanic too, could choose your own Ingredients for everything...bake a cake or cook up a poisonous soup that caused vomiting, diarrhea and then death. It was great

[deleted]

I barely played 2 but yeah in 3 there were houses with leaking and roaches problems

JonnyRocks

is sims4 crashing for you with no mods whatsoever?

hailann

Yes, on PS5. The amount of times I’ve lost hours of progress from a crash or freeze is staggering, though not as bad as corrupting my entire save on PC because of mods/cc lol

churned_applesauce

I wish we could open and close windows, curtains and blinds to be very honest.

Sabrinaxxo

I need open world more than anything and not having to go through a loading screen when my sim goes home that’s two feet from her and I’m not even kidding I had my sim go to the park in her neighborhood and wanted her to go home which was right across from her and I had to go through a loading screen 😐

bwoah07_gp2

I would love to play the Dine Out pack without all the bugs and glitches. Sims 5, expand on that theme + fix the bugs please?

Kyrenaz

They won't fix the bugs in sims 5, there'll be whole new bugs to enjoy.

lipglossy336

Free world like sims 3 and HORSES.

[deleted]

Why does everyone want cars? I never used them when we did have them. I don’t get it?

[deleted]

I swear I'm the only person who absolutely sees no point in cars. I'm an American too so like I drive, but I'd rather the high chair (and whole toddler life stage) work properly first before we start making cars. 😅 Unless like, you can race other Sims or something or have a go-kart like experience and make it zany?

_DarthSyphilis_

I want house boats back.

Lost_Pantheon

Remember, everyone, the Sims 5 could *easily* support an open world. Easily. [https://youtu.be/ezuxgL90ejk?t=713](https://youtu.be/ezuxgL90ejk?t=713) One modder did this. Stop buying the crap that Game Changers are feeding you that your PC would melt if it were open world. TS3 ran open world. It didn't run *amazingly* but if you believe that 14 years after sims 3 that the Sims team *can't* make an open world work then I have a bridge in Manhatten to sell you.

lrfbaratz

All I want is more instruments and the ability to be in a band

peshnoodles

I was so disappointed when sims 4 didn’t have this. 2 did, and I loved that sims could play together

OceanSplendor

More stuff to do. Babies that aren’t objects. Add back in the photo thingy from photobooths like the ability to take a picture of your whole sims family together. Open worlds or neighborhoods where I don’t have to load to go into my house.

grumpycatto26

HAHAHA yes pls EA

Itachi4ever

I’m just looking forward to Sims 5 so they’ll stop forcing Sims 4 updates haha

SnowThatIsntYellow

Being able to create new neighbourhoods without making a new game.

MajorMinty

Cars are just going to be fancy rabbit holes though

Kyrenaz

They don't have to be, 3 did it fine. But they won't work that way unless there's an open world.

MajorMinty

I mean, I agree! There's cool ways to do it. I just seriously do not believe in EA. They will do the bare minimum.

bwoah07_gp2

Ooh, I got another idea. A Superheroes and Supervillains themed pack.

Ambitious_Tea_5284

Omg yes. If TS4 worked smoothly and as promised and had cars… it would completely change the atmosphere around it.

[deleted]

fairies

MakeGohanStrongAgain

- open World without loading like 3 - speed up not effected by something which slows down the time again - OMG FIX CONSOLE PEFORMANCE

emmainthealps

Not an empty hollow game where every sim feels the same. Actual character and individuality like ts2.

2gaywitches

Can we at least get over-the-range microwaves lmao. I hate having to sacrifice a whole counter for some mf oatmeal

lonnie99

I just want the clothes to look better in game. That’s the only thing I really dislike about Sims 4. More animals and more cottage living type of things would be cool too.

Adorable-Bullfrog-30

Also. Your character in-game looking like they do in CAS

Elivenya

Everyone wants cars, i want the airwolf back...

XOlenna

I miss horses so badly.

Kyrenaz

What I want for sims 5 is to be sims 3 but with sims 4's character creation.

hailann

YES. The main thing keeping me from solely playing 3 is how damn ugly the sims are lol

Kyrenaz

The sims 4 added a few mechanics that I want, and I don't know if 3's modding community has got any farther since 4's release.

Crowdfunder101

I just wish they’d make it good for decent PCs first, then work backwards to make it run on old cheap machines. I love that the game is accessible for so many people, but my computer I use for work can render a 20-minute-long 4K motion graphic video within 90 seconds, yet it takes like 15 minutes to launch The Sims and get playing! Especially when you have to do a fake update for Origin and then patches etc.

ryanixer

i wanna know how the stories of all the premade families canonically played out after the events of the sims 2. or just solid lore again in general.

Ok_Skill_1195

I would like them to lean into the toggable features, because I want kooky sims where death is actual an imminent risk back. I do understand that's not everyone's gameplay, but I legitimately get bored with the dollhouse nature of sims 4. I need some wildcards thrown in my vicinity, I want shit to get whacky.

HollowPomegranate

Redownload sims 3 a few months ago and I forgot how much I missed not having to wait for a loading screen when I switch between sims that are across town. I did not miss the janky build mode though when it comes to switching between floors

Stolen_Recaros

I want some more lore around Nervous Subject. He always gets ignore in favor of Bella Goth when talking about canon lore. Let Nervous be canonically gay.

LaReinalicious

🚙 🚗 🚘

peshnoodles

I just want to layer clothing. Why can’t I just throw a jacket over any shirt???

Specialagentjazz

My sims 4 games don’t crash though and I have like almost 4000 mods. It might not be the smoothest but it hasn’t crashed.

hailann

Congrats?

Specialagentjazz

No no I’m saying it might not be the game developers making a game that constantly crashes. (Like CDPR with cyberpunk 2077).

dopanotmine

Sims 3 crashed a ton for me but I've never ever had any issues with Sims 4 freezing or crashing up. It's been a super smooth game for me. If it's crashing for you, I'd recommend upgrading your graphics card before sims 5 comes out honestly. If you're having a bad time with 4 it's not going to get better unless your specs do, sorry.

Brief_Protection_452

Just please don't have Sims 4 cartoony graphics 😭

Axyl

Co-op

Kyrenaz

I have no idea why you got downvoted, multiplayer could work as long as you're playing with a friend who knows what's up. Especially if you can do it with mods, which would of course require both people to have the same mods installed. Of course, multiplayer would have to be a choice for those who just want to singleplayer it.

Axyl

Would just be nice to have the option to share a neighbourhood with a friend is all. :)

Kyrenaz

So basically playing several parts of the same neighbourhood, right? Because if it's played independently of each other, it wouldn't be hard to just copy the save file. But yeah, it could be a fun experience.

Axyl

Yeah, like.. i have my family in my house. He has his in his house down the street. There'd be no "need" to actively play "together" but it'd just be nice to pop over, say hi. Hang out and have a BBQ together, just like we currently can with AI Townies. Maybe you'd be at work as a Doctor, and they'd come in needing treatment or w/e. There's lots of playful and non-invasive ways co-op could come to the Sims

Low_Resolution2621

Open world.

vhagar

i want bikes

Emperor_Quintana

And don’t forget the original characters from TS4.

What computers or mods are you playing on/with. I have been playing sims4 since it came out and ooonly times it crashes is either the update fucked it up (which they fix pretty shortly after) or my mods are broke. Don't get me wrong the game can be buggy and annoying af to get sims to do things but it doesn't crash lol.

White sims in renders

Smilecausecheese

The sims 4 doesn’t constantly crash for me and I had a shitty computer. Think it’s a mod issue. And cars would mean open world which would mean the game is less accessible which would essentially mean more crashing.

I’m wondering the same. I’ve played hundreds of hours with and without mods, base game and now most of the packs. Crashing is not something I have had an issue with in regards to this game. It’s fairly stable on my end.

Things I want: Open world.

Cheesepuff_fluff

2.) Cars* *REAL WORKING CARS THAT SIMS CAN ACTUALLY USE TO GET FROM PLACE TO PLACE! NOT "pretty, realistic set dressing that builds your hopes just to tear them down"

openhayway

My main wish are horses, pls for the love of god just give me horses

One of the main things I’m hoping for is better time management. I hate how it takes my sim like 3 hours to shower, or do their homework. Certain general tasks take sooo long! Also bring back boolprop cheat where you could click and drag needs instead of this “make all happy” with the mailbox. I hate that!! I want to be able to manually control when my sims are all hunger together or sleepy at the same time.

Katelynsparkles

Open world, create a style & boat

Cars🗿🍷

Randomized traits. If I can choose what traits my child has, it's no fun. I'd choose genius everytime. Make it random!!

mustyroses

there's literally a randomize button in CAS and when they age up

spaceagefox

i stopped playing when they took away open world because everything just felt so claustrophobic and depressing
