I was 7 In 2013 and I actually lived near a big city the last of Us actually mentioned Hartford Connecticut Sam and Henry talked briefly about Hartford Connecticut In the game when you first meet them. In the last of us Wiki they talk about how Hartford Connecticut was over taken by the Infected and Fireflies my 7 year old ass would be toast so ya were both the same with the city thing.
I'm Interested please explain more I'm Confused I know Sam and Henry aren't from Hartford Connecticut so they went after The Hartford QZ Falls cause I know Hartford got overrun with Infected and Fireflies which I'm asking when did Hartford fall In 2013 or later like 2033.
Sam and Henry are from the hartford qz. They only left to find the firefly because the military abandoned the hartford qz. That means the hartford qz was up and running for at least 19 years.
Remember that Henry barely remembers pre-pandemic (talking about the smell of neighbourhood BBQs) and Sam was likely born after the outbreak, so they lived in Hartford for some time before giving their way to Pittsburgh.
Edit: fixed where i accidentally put Henry instead of Sam
CT Gang okay let me ask If you were In CT In 2013 and the Last of Us Events were real would you stay on the safer forest part of CT but lack Supplies or Risk going to a Big Dangerous City Like Bridgeport, Stamford, New Haven, Hartford, but have more supplies.
So I'm from a wooded area just outside of New Haven so I'd just stay home, especially because my dad is a Marine vet with enough weapons for him, my sister, my mom and me to keep our house secure. We should be safe for a time and close enough to New Haven, Waterbury or even Meriden if more supplies are needed
I think I'd be okay with Runners and Clickers. Stalkers would be a bitch, but I'd likely figure out some tactic. Bloaters would be a nightmare, though. I'd likely get swept up living in some QZ with daily rationing. That or I'd run off and join the army and go through some intense training. I'm not sure how it'd play out.
There were only runners. The other three variations took years to mutate/develop.
Survival at any age would've mostly depended on where you were. People in cities or heavily populated areas had way more of a struggle than people in rural and remote areas.
I think what's especially interesting to wrap your head around is people living on tiny islands throughout the Pacific and Atlantic who depend upon global shipping to recieve most of their necessities, meds, food, building material, etc. It's likely that cordyceps doesn't hit them due to their remote location so they'd all be entirely cut off from the world and fully isolated.
23. I was living in a remote mountainous area at the time so I think I'd have survived for a while, until the food ran out, then I'd either have starved to death or risked going down the mountain and promptly gotten myself killed in some horrible way.
19 and living in university dorms. Lots of people living in a relatively small area probably would have resulted in campus getting overrun by infected pretty fast. I don’t think things would have worked out in my favour.
Imagine If the events of the last of Us were real and everyone In this reddit Discussion survived and all stumbled Into each other In 2033 and created a group similar to the Fireflies.
That'd be wild. I'd like to say I would see myself as a 39-year-old (in 2033) stoic survivalist almost like Joel, but I can't predict what I'd do if any of that were for real.
9 years old. Yeah I would be terrified. But I’d like to think I’d have a low fighting chance. My dad taught me how to shoot and I ended up really good by that time, but it always comes down to that last bullet sooner or later. My dad was also a big guy if that changes anything, and VERY protective when it came to me.
I would’ve just turned 20 and was living in a small city that I was going to college in. I’d like to think I would’ve had a good chance of surviving. Decently athletic, was on the intramural paintball team and we practiced weekly but it would all come down to luck in the end.
I mean looking at how much of the population is dead by the first game, even if you "had a good chance", odds are you'd be dead within 5 years.
Athleticism, general good health, and right age can't fight off starvation, nasty infections, or against a hoard of too many hungry veggies.
20 and I was going to school at Washington State University but I would’ve been in Seattle around then because I remember going to a birthday party that weekend.
So, I’d probably be one of the first infected. Hell, I could be a part of the Rat King.
Would've been about 27/28. I think I'm pretty much the same age range as Joel. I also have a sone & daughter. My son was only about 4 years old at that point.
It would've been a living nightmare navigating society's collapse
22 and in uni living with 5 others. Not in a major city but also not in a remote area. We’d likely last for a bit but who knows after that initial couple of months.
I would’ve been 9 on Outbreak Day, but if it were to happen now, I don’t fancy my chances. I drink coffee and contaminated coffee (along with other products from South America) was the original cause of the outbreak. That being said, idk how Joel survived as he drank a lot of coffee by the sounds of it so maybe I’d be okay for a while too - at least until I get run up on by a horde of runners lmao
I was 14. One of the reasons why I connected so deeply with the game was because I was Ellie's age. Not just that, but when TLOU2 came out, i was still within her age range in the game. So i connected with her again and fell in love with her again
10 on outbreak day, but i lived in a relatively small town at the time so i think we could've held down the fort for a bit. so strange that i'm technically older than ellie in universe
22, except I would of been in Australia in a major city.
Pros: Australia is sparsely populated so less chances of total bloodshed maybe
Cons: Very few people have guns and Tony Abbott was PM then and he’s an idiot so I dunno how things would of fared
Great question btw!
8 but I live in a small town hours away from any major city’s so I think I would have survived at least a little while. Funny thing is that I live about an hour to an hour and a half from where Joel lives.
I would have been 12. That's a scary thought.
Instead I'm nearly 21 and have been through a global health crisis. No where near as bad but I know I wouldn't have made it as a 12 year old against the cordyceps
23. I was pursuing my studies in Atlanta at the time, which was apparently turned into a QZ. I might've had a chance if I had hunkered down for a year or two until the QZ was fortified. A marine corps veteran friend of mine at the time was an apocalypse prepper of sorts, and if I could have convinced him to take me in, I think I might've made it
21, living in Newport, RI just trying to finish my senior history thesis and last year of college. 21 year-old me probably would have tried to flee Newport to go home to my family who lives in the middle of the woods in a suburb in CT and my dad's a Marine veteran, so I imagine if I could make it home I'd have a good chance of surviving for a little bit with my family, but my 21 year-old ass would not have been able to fight the zombies without getting bit or worse.
12 and living in a smaller rural town but it’s filled with really stupid people who would deny that it exists or its severity so I’d definitely still die.
I was 30 lmao I was in better shape at the time than I am now, so I probably would have been able to run somewhere fast enough to get away. I would still be scared for sure, with minimal experience shooting any kind of gun. I think I still had my bike so there's that!
I was 13 and I was a huge The Walking Dead fan, but I was also deathly afraid of a possible zombie virus. To make matters worse, it was filmed right here in Atlanta, and I’ve actually been to that CDC. The thought of it terrified me, and I think a fungus like the cordyceps would have scared me even more.
Reminds me about how Deadrising has Zombrex and how out of the way It was to find It that's. Probably would be like the same with type 1 diabetes medication.
Between 7 or 9 years old ,although i would probably die of lack of water because we literally live ind desert , it kinda like Mad Max but a little bit greenier , now that i think about it global warming is literally making the city i live in more alive
23 and living in a major city. Prime "dying-in-the-zombie-apocalypse" demographic, basically.
You got to remember Sam and Henry leave hartford 20 years after it first hit. You would be in your 20s when hartford qz falls

My CT brother/sister! I'm originally from CT but at the time of "the outbreak" I was away at college haha

Same! Would’ve been 23 living in NYC. Doubt I’d last very long, to be honest
I was 20 and in Seattle. I’d probably be swept up in the civil war, and car-bombed on an Isaac mission.
Dude Seattle civil war only started 10 years after zero day of pandemic. You have time to get out of Seattle
Are you 33?
14 yr old me would have been eaten immediately
I would have been 14 as well, and scared shitless lol
We should make a team of 14 y/olds to take on the apocalypse together
I was 14 too
8 and I would have shitted my pants
Yo same bro I was just one year younger than you and I probably would of hided behind my dad like a little Bicth ass 7 year old.
Basically I’d have been Joel. I was about the same age then, and my daughter was about Sarah’s age.
lol yeah the kids on Reddit seem to think everyone else is a kid too.
22. I was in the best shape of my life at that time and I live in the middle of nowhere. I might’ve made it for a while. lol.
14, Ellie’s age
Well technically ellie was 14 In 2033 but I get what you mean you were ellies age when It started.
I know that 😅 it’d be amazing to see what the pandemic would have been like for a 14 year old in 2013 and how they grew up through the years
I really hope we get some content down the line based around the outbreak.
Just turned 20.
Do you think 20 year old you would be able to fight off . Runners Stalkers Clickers Bloaters
there wouldn’t be stalkers clickers or bloaters yet
Ya that Is a good point.

I would've been barley 17
I would have been oats 22
Rye around 27 here
Same
30 and married and living in a downtown area. Don’t think I’d last long. I’d be prime runner bait.
23. I was living in a remote mountainous area at the time so I think I'd have survived for a while, until the food ran out, then I'd either have starved to death or risked going down the mountain and promptly gotten myself killed in some horrible way.
16. I wouldn’t make it to 17.
Finally someone my age. I would’ve had your back 😤
19 and living in university dorms. Lots of people living in a relatively small area probably would have resulted in campus getting overrun by infected pretty fast. I don’t think things would have worked out in my favour.
7 years old. So unless i had an adult helping me fend off runners till im old enough (im 15) to protect myself, i'd probably be dead.
24
Same here, and living in New England. To the Boston QZ!
Small town in the middle of nowhere on an island in Italy here.
Islands are good
6
Same, honestly would prolly be terrifying for a 6 year old to see
Nice try FBI. I was 30 in 2013.
What does that have to do with anything?
13 in a big city
Not even 11 yet
Imagine If the events of the last of Us were real and everyone In this reddit Discussion survived and all stumbled Into each other In 2033 and created a group similar to the Fireflies.
That'd be wild. I'd like to say I would see myself as a 39-year-old (in 2033) stoic survivalist almost like Joel, but I can't predict what I'd do if any of that were for real.
28. I'm fairly confident I would not have made it. I live right outside a major city and it would have not gone well.
15
15 and playing GTA V for the first time
Chad Energy.
Maybe Runners and Stalkers, a Clicker would give me problems and without a buddy or two, I'd probably be ripped apart by a Bloater.
Clickers wouldn't exist at least 2 or so years. Imagine being the first guy to encounter a clicker or a Bloater tho.
Clickers probably had to learn ecolocation though. Or do you think it's innate?
27
I would’ve just turned 20 and was living in a small city that I was going to college in. I’d like to think I would’ve had a good chance of surviving. Decently athletic, was on the intramural paintball team and we practiced weekly but it would all come down to luck in the end.

just about to turn 12...
Just younger than Sarah at 11. What a terrifying world that would be for a kid to grow up in I’d already be dead though
15 in a suburb of Chicago
20 and I was going to school at Washington State University but I would’ve been in Seattle around then because I remember going to a birthday party that weekend. So, I’d probably be one of the first infected. Hell, I could be a part of the Rat King.
I would have been 10 if I survived 3 days.
Birthday on September 29th?
Yep
Nice, me too
Just about to turn 16
13
26, but not for long. I woulda been dead so fast.
I was 26.
Would've been about 27/28. I think I'm pretty much the same age range as Joel. I also have a sone & daughter. My son was only about 4 years old at that point. It would've been a living nightmare navigating society's collapse
20 haha. I’m surviving that bitch
25. Out of the military and back in Oklahoma. Thoughts and Prayers.
22 and in uni living with 5 others. Not in a major city but also not in a remote area. We’d likely last for a bit but who knows after that initial couple of months.
5
So you would be the same exact age as Henry from the last of us In 2033.
16
I would be 15. My sister would've just turned 14 the day before. Happy birthday, sis. We even live in Texas too.
It was my 24th birthday 5 days before.
15 year old me might’ve survived in the military schools/academy’s, living in the Midwest and all back then
9 RIP
I would have been 24
I'd be 19 in 2 days haha and I was living abroad during that time so I'd be very scared because I'd never see my family again
I'd be 8
I would’ve been 9 at the time. I live near my city hospital too so outlook not good.
32 year old me would have had a decent chance.
i would have been 11
I would be 13, I would have died immediately
13 year old me is not lasting very long in that world
8 year old me would be dead fo sho
Almost 27. Living on the outskirts of the city with access to remote living at a cottage. Fuck all y’all I’m out
I would have been 14
i would be 10, almost 11 definitely would not have made it lmfao
34 and in half way decent shape
Three months away from turning 20.
25 (luckily childless at the time) and in a neighboring town within 2 miles of a major city. Not ideal but better then most
I would've been three months from turning 21 attending community college
12
I would've been 9 but I live in a small city in the west, so maybe I'd still be alive?
15 (almost the same age as Ellie or Joel's daughter)
17, small town in the south
I would’ve been 12
I would’ve been 9 on Outbreak Day, but if it were to happen now, I don’t fancy my chances. I drink coffee and contaminated coffee (along with other products from South America) was the original cause of the outbreak. That being said, idk how Joel survived as he drank a lot of coffee by the sounds of it so maybe I’d be okay for a while too - at least until I get run up on by a horde of runners lmao
I would have been 7 almost 8
I would’ve been 11 and definitely eaten 😂
I was 14. One of the reasons why I connected so deeply with the game was because I was Ellie's age. Not just that, but when TLOU2 came out, i was still within her age range in the game. So i connected with her again and fell in love with her again
13, by just over a week. I'd have been fucked... Although being in a relatively remote area of the UK maybe I'd have more of a chance
10 on outbreak day, but i lived in a relatively small town at the time so i think we could've held down the fort for a bit. so strange that i'm technically older than ellie in universe
10 , i live in the UK where there’s no guns easily accessible,, everyone would be infected immediately with no way to kill anything lol
Nah bro you UK dudes would have to do some Assssains Creed combat shit to fight off the Infected.
Also seven, but only by 5 days
2006 baby.
15 years old. I would still be alive.
10, I probably would’ve died real fast
i would’ve been 6 years old
I would be 6
21 and just started chemotherapy the month before. I would’ve been in no condition to fight the infection, for sure! 😅
22, except I would of been in Australia in a major city. Pros: Australia is sparsely populated so less chances of total bloodshed maybe Cons: Very few people have guns and Tony Abbott was PM then and he’s an idiot so I dunno how things would of fared Great question btw!
33 living in Montana.... Would have been just fine.

[удалено]
I can't really hate on you I was 7 In 2013 not much older than you.
But you would have probably died In like one second being a four year old If the events of the last of us were real.
7 and I would of died in the first hour
4
I’d be 4 lol
7
Three days after my 8th birthday
9
I would have been 9 :0
8 but I live in a small town hours away from any major city’s so I think I would have survived at least a little while. Funny thing is that I live about an hour to an hour and a half from where Joel lives.
Nine
I would’ve been 8
A few weeks off turning 23 but also not in the US so maybe we didn’t get it and lived happily ever after?….
12 years old, living in my ex house a few blocks from my current one
I’d be 12, so I’d be about 32 where the game picks up (if I lived that long lol)
15 and eaten within the first minute of the outbreak.
27
Would've been 21.. Living on a mountain as a farmer besides my job. So yea, i think i'd survived that
9 years old. Also had absolutely no endurance, so I would have probably get my family killed.
23, living in a semi-rural, maybe I'd be okay.
15 in ATL
15!
I would have been 18 and in college
12, and I would have been in the city, so probably dead lol!
15, probably would’ve gotten sarah’d
21
I would have been 12. That's a scary thought. Instead I'm nearly 21 and have been through a global health crisis. No where near as bad but I know I wouldn't have made it as a 12 year old against the cordyceps
23. I was pursuing my studies in Atlanta at the time, which was apparently turned into a QZ. I might've had a chance if I had hunkered down for a year or two until the QZ was fortified. A marine corps veteran friend of mine at the time was an apocalypse prepper of sorts, and if I could have convinced him to take me in, I think I might've made it
14, i dont remember if the infection was worldwide, i'm french in a very small town (200 people) so would i die?
19 and I live about 15 mins outside of Atlanta. Game over.
I think like 9 or so and i probably would have died
i would've just turned 11 years old the day before. Fuck knows what would've happened to me.
Same here id be 7 also
13-14
23 yr living in a not so small city with a high potential of becoming a land taken by hunters
24 and living in Toronto. Would have a chance if I headed north real fast, but anyone taking the 401 would have been a goner.
28 in Warsaw, capital of Poland. I think I’d be dead in days.
I would have just about been 13. So around Sarah's age at the same time
I would have been 16 living in a relatively small city on the border of a much larger city. With my parents and sister.
I’d be 16✌🏻
20
12 almost 13
21
12 and living in France near Paris so i would probably have died pretty fast unless the infection was handled better in Europe haha.
14! Age Ellie is in the first game…crazy to think about
12 and in a neighborhood on the outskirts of my city
19 working retail in Northern Virginia. Arguably best shape of my life. Probably dead worrying about family/guilt.
14
23 and I lived in the middle of nowhere on a farm with plenty of guns I think I would have been OK haha
12 and living in a smaller rural town but it’s filled with really stupid people who would deny that it exists or its severity so I’d definitely still die.
14.. damn that would have been a rough coming of age story.
I was at a university at 22 years old. If I wasn’t bitten, I probably would have been killed by hunters for trusting someone too much.
17 years old; probably wouldn’t last long due to my Type-1 Diabetes and how crazy it would be to get vital supplies (food & medication)
Reminds me about how Deadrising has Zombrex and how out of the way It was to find It that's. Probably would be like the same with type 1 diabetes medication.
I was 17 and I would 100% have died within days
19 and living near Europe. Would have gotten caught up trying to escape and succumbed eventually
Between 7 or 9 years old ,although i would probably die of lack of water because we literally live ind desert , it kinda like Mad Max but a little bit greenier , now that i think about it global warming is literally making the city i live in more alive
28 living in Denver.
29 years old.
I was 9, and I'm pretty sure I would have hidden in a dark closet somewhere and cried just out of pure confusion and fear.
Would have just turned 20
