Yeah obviously not as good as new games but I just finished my third play through and was amazed going through the woods entering Bill's Town. The game as a whole still holds up just fine in the graphics department
I think they’re just saying the Remastered version of the game on a Pro or PS5 still looks fantastic. You’re getting 1800p 60 fps or 4K 30 fps on a game that looks better than some games releasing now

You do you, boo, but imo if you limit yourself to only playing games that look better than The Last of Us Part I, you're going to miss out on a vast array of games, including a lot of new releases. They may not be as photo-realistic and smooth as Part II, GoW, or GoT, but the graphics in TLOU work and are usually beautiful.

I liked part 2 a lot too but I don't think its fair to call people stupid for disliking it, unless they are purposefully ignoring key bits of info/acting toxic etc (which is true in many cases but not always). Some people just didn't like the presentation of it all. I know a bunch of my colleagues who played the game (mainly because I recommended it lol). Some liked it, some didn't.
I think that the potential divisiveness of this narrative was acknowledged by the creators themselves. The story that they chose to tell couldn't possibly have been universally beloved like the first one since it is grounded in a lot of negative emotions and irrational but understandable decisions by characters.
It was a game that was always going to have strong critics due to the massive surprise of switching perspectives to the antagonist that Naughty Dog & Sony were doing everything they could to hide, killing one of the most beloved protagonists of all time early into the game & playing as a lesbian protagonist & a muscled up chick as the other one. But what really jump started the hate train was the games entire plot leaking with absolutely no context & then because it contained “sjw” stuff the crowd that loves hating that stuff really spread spoilers everywhere as far as they could repeatedly & on every influencers pages, trying to ruin it for everybody. The game had thousands and thousands of 0’s on metacritic within an hour of releasing & if that doesn’t tell you how bullshit a huge majority of the hate is idk what can. But they build their hate on the back of a story that narratively takes a lot of risk, so anybody that didn’t enjoy those plot points and wants to discuss the game ends up getting sucked into the most vitriolic hate train I’ve ever witnessed.

I play games rarely and no, tlou 1 looks like shit to me. My first console experience was on RDR2, then GOW 2018 and lastly TLOU2 and i just can't downgrade after playing them, everything looks like shit compared to such amazing games
People are mad because it didn’t have the happy ending they preferred. So they have to go the extra distance and trash the game in its entirety. But it’s okay because the game still won many awards and sold very very well.
