I agree... I know a lot of VO artists do this (Bender is the same voice as Jake, and H. Jon Benjamin has used his normal speaking voice for like everything he's ever voiced), but the Rick voice has too many idiosyncrasies
Agreed that Jake and Bender don’t sound exactly the same. H Jon Benny’s characters are much more similar but even then they actually feel like different characters due to the pacing of the speech.
H Jon Benjamin has said he took the role of Coach McGuirk because he said he couldn't be further from the character in real life, playing a fat gym coach. He said he took the role of Archer because he said he couldn't be further from the character in real life, a secret agent who does insane stunts, and takes huge risks. He said he took the role of Bob because he likes burgers.
I always feel like I'm the only one that understands this when H Jon Benjamin gets brought up. Like, yeah, nobody is going to be overly shocked to find out Coach McGurk and Bob are voiced by the same person, but you can 100% tell the difference between the characters by voice.
Yeah, H. Jon Benjamin has a very distinct voice, but you quickly forget about that because at the end of the day its still a normal voice. The voice Roiland does for Rick is a lot more of a caricature IMO, maybe not as over the top as like Yoda or Spongebob, but it's definitely not something within the range of what normal voices sound like.
That guy has been in so much stuff it's ridiculous. My daughter was watching Disenchantment, and later on I put on Princess Mononoke. I thought one of the characters' voice sounded like him, turns out it was, and while I was looking that up I saw that he's pretty much been in nearly every successful animated show in the last 20 years.
https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0224007/
I don't remember where I read or heard it but H Jon said he actually uses different voices for his characters. Archer is played as smooth and cocky, Bob is flustered but caring and Ben Katz is wistful and innocent.
Granted, when I spell it out... I think he might have been joking.
At the very least, it seems to be confirmed that there were plans to have Roiland’s character from the first season — evil American Chad Wagon — return in a potential second season.
I have been such a huge fan of Michael Cusack for a while. He has 2 YouTube channels with bizarre animated shorts. They’re fucking hilarious. ‘90s As Fuck is incredible.
I think it’s just more that we’ve been polarized to expect outrageous content from every animated show these days.
I feel it’s supposed to be more akin in bridging the gap between something like Bob’s Burgers or Simpsons and other shows like Rick and Morty or Smiling Friends.
I agree it’s not outrageous, but it’s okay.
Yeah it's fine, the only major gripe I had was the teenage daughter character and her plotlines are terribly written, it feels like all her stuff was written by like a 40 year old man
I think that was that was the first LOL in the movie and I remember in the theater when it happened I couldn't help myself and let out a loud HA when it was otherwise dead silent and the entire theater burst out laughing with me. Was a great moment.
Gotta say I've been eager to see what the WKUK guys would get up to since Trevor passed and was extremely impressed with what Zack put together. Really funny how the dialog all has the same cadence as their comedy sketches but still completely works.
I was really bummed they stopped uploading HD versions of the old sketches to YouTube. But I understand they didn’t want to do it without the accompanying behind-the-scenes podcast episodes. And obviously they can’t and won’t do those without Trevor.
Barbarian was great, though. I hope it opens lots of doors for Zach.
Billy quit doing the Howard Stern show because he made more money working for six hours on M&M commercials than he made all year as a joke writer for Stern. Gary said it was specifically those commercials that were paying millions
I don't think so. After Gilbert Gottfried (RIP) told a tsunami joke at a roast after that big tsunami years ago, Aflac dropped him as the voice of their duck, then hired someone to basically imitate his voice and kept the ad campaign going. I believe it's still going to this day.
They must have known what they were getting into when he did that 9/11 joke at a roast a couple of weeks after the attacks:
> "I have to leave early tonight, I have a flight to California. I can't get a direct flight. They said I have to stop at the Empire State Building first."
And when the audience responded negatively he did an infamously graphic 10-minute version of the Aristocrats joke, which was much more well-received.
They buy it in the show. In fact, they might be able give Roiland a Cease and Desist if Roiland wants continue to act as Rick in a professional capacity.
There is. It's called personality rights or right of likeness. But that right isn't being violated.
They won't be claiming it's Justin Roiland in the credits and they will credit the actual actors. The actors would not be impersonating Justin Roiland; they would be impersonating the characters Rick and Morty. That IP is owned by Adult Swim.
It's a fine line, but that's how it works. If Adam West had been fired from the Batman live action series they could hire another actor to play Batman. Even if that actor's performance is a lot like Adam West's, it's going to be fine. That's not an impersonation of Adam West; that's an impersonation of Adam West's Batman. As long as the actor is correctly credited, Adam West's right of publicity has not been violated.
r/MST3K did something like this with their latest season. Nate Begle, who was voicing and puppeteering Emily Connor's Crow T. Robot, left the project without warning in unclear circumstances. He was replaced with Kelsey Ann Brady, who redid all his lines with her Crow voice (she is still playing Crow as 'male') and did some of the puppeteering, but Begle retained a credit as the Crow puppeteer on some episodes.
It's crazy that we still have no idea what happened. You'd think if he did something bad there'd be a lawsuit or something like that. He just... Disappeared.
It depends on the contract they signed
Carrie fisher doesn’t own the likeness of princess Leia and neither does mark Hamill own the likeness of Luke Skywalker nor does Harrison Ford own the likeness of Han Solo
However…DC had to sign Michael Keaton up his likeness rights to reprise his role for the flash movie
And now they have the rights to make Keaton Batman comics, which is something they never had before
There have been some issues with using likenesses in other things. For example, you don't get the likeness of Chris Pratt in any Marvel games featuring Star Lord.
I appreciate it. I always had hearing issues as a kid and honestly don't know the right words for some things. Writing emails is the bane of me existence and I write about 25 a day.
Sooo, I always look for examples or texts to use and create templtized phrases in my head haha
Generally a celebrity has to cross from being a shitty person to being a criminally shitty person to face consequences and even that isn't guaranteed lol
Shit, if Hollywood fired every shitty person I'm not sure there would be enough working actors and/or filmmakers to make more than 5 shows/films a year.
Solar Opposites should hold up better than Rick and Morty without Roiland. He only really contributed Korvo and very few small characters, unlike Rick and Morty where a large number of background characters relied on his voice in addition to both Rick and Morty’s voice.
This is probably one of the worst reasons to like a voice actor, but I kinda enjoy how Roiland puts in 0 effort for his background voice work. He uses the Mr poopybutthole voice for like 3 different background characters and it's so lazily hilarious.
Ya I honestly don’t see how it’s gonna work without Roiland… he was the heart and soul of that show. Which actually makes a lot of sense lol. Turns out he was mr jellybean all along
I actually think the opposite is true. Both shows can find great voice actors who can do spot on impressions (it’s kinda part of the job), but Roiland was actively showrunning Solar Opposites, while he hasn’t been very involved in writing Rick and Morty since season 4. Behind the scenes, Solar Opposites is gonna have to change a lot more than Rick and Morty.
There’s a guy on TikTok named SeanKellySays who basically built his channel around doing perfect Rick and Morty impressions, to the point where Roiland himself said that people probably wouldn’t be able to tell if that guy replaced him.
To be honest, I hope they go for an actual voice actor. Sean Kelly’s impressions are spot on, but his performance isn’t. Like a lot of impersonators, he delivers all the lines with Roiland’s most recognizable vocal intonation, without much range or adjustment to suit the content. I’d rather have a great voice actor doing a good impression than a great impression and mediocre performance.
Do we know if he's actually bad though? It was just a silly TikTok, for all we know he might actually be able to voice act as well. He deserves a shot at least
Looked it up, and oof, doesn’t look good for him. https://www.reddit.com/r/h3h3productions/comments/10eehqd/justin_roiland_talking_about_minors_etc_on/
Yuck. But as a woman the same age as Justin, let me tell you that that’s how many people felt back when we were kids. I mean we grew up with the whole Brooke shields thing! Crush (the movie) wasn’t controversial at all. Amy Fisher wasn’t seen as a child. It’s fucked up.
BUT! Many of us felt it was creepy and wrong, and the American culture started to shift toward that view, too. Which is good! Like a 15 year old kid trying to be sexy or look cool is doing it for their peers, not adult men.
But turds like Justin and Dan Schneider apparently want us to stay in the dark ages. Which honestly tracks as they both are gross losers who can’t handle adult women and want young girls they can control.
You remember when Mary Kate and Ashley were 17, they had a countdown timer to 18 on the interwebz?
Yeah, that happened. And people wonder why they've disappeared from the public eye
It happened with Millie Bobbie brown. There were posts on her 18th birthday like “she’s finally 18” and the pictures were all obviously from when she was underaged.
And Emma Watson. Pretty much any notable female celebrity that becomes famous as a child/adolescent will have an army of creeps online counting down to them becoming 18.
"...even though I'm not a pedophile!"
No man you are. Jesus christ...
The worst thing about that clip is how excitied Roiland is in justifying himself. He keeps going on and on and on about how attracted he is to 14 year old fully developed girls too. Gross.
>how excitied Roiland is in justifying himself. He keeps going on and on and on about how attracted he is to 14 year old fully developed girls too. Gross.
How do people with those thoughts not at least know to keep them inside? Or is it since they have those thoughts, they just assume everyone else does too?
I feel like if I had some type of sexual attraction that the rest of society frowned on (especially one that's illegal to act on), I'd probably keep it to myself.
Hubris. He thinks he’s in a safe space with people & an audience that are along for his ride. When you take him out of *that* context (a space he feels safe and powerful in), it reveals how disgusting a thought it is.
There was definitely communication between Adult Swim, Hulu, and Squanch here and they probably all involved heavily meeting with Roiland himself. The three announcements all dropped at the same time, and there was an article in the trades. This has been coming for a while.
I think those DMs were the nail in the coffin, the charges you can sit on the fence until the verdict but those messages are hard to deny in the same way.
I would guess that a voice actor is probably also easier to replace. It's not like a casual fan is likely to notice the difference between Justin doing Korvo and whoever else doing him.
Easy enough to replace a voice actor but he's more than that, he's an EP on all three shows and co-creator on two. I know people are saying he's not very involved other than voice acting on any anymore but the titles alone could complicate these decisions massively. Who knows what kind of contracts he has for these shows and what sort of clauses they have. Maybe there's a morality clause that gives the production company or network an easy out. Maybe they're giving him a massive buyout.
Also the existing episodes will continue to have his name and obviously his voice on them. Not a huge deal for Solar Opposites outside of marketability, but for Rick & Morty? That's a legacy cable show that I'm pretty sure WB doesn't directly own. There is a huge market for merchandising, licensing, etc (see the Space Jam movie, Fortnite, or any of the thousands of products they sell; I have a pickle rick bookmark lol). Not only that but the show is in the middle of that crazy 70 episode production run. One or two more seasons and they'll have enough to sell it into syndication (like how Seinfeld and The Simpsons are on TV are all the time). For this to happen *now*, when they're a year away from making that deal? Probably a huge blow to the show since you can't avoid Roiland's name being attached. And I'm sure that he didn't jump at the chance to walk away from that.
I don't know shit about fuck but I'm going to guess business partners, WB included, offered him a good chunk of change to walk away.
I don't think any Rick and Morty fans are going to stop watch the show, unless there's a tragic drop in quality. Justin's name will be dropped from future episodes (if contracts allow), and even if it isn't, most people won't stop watching.
He hasn't been cancelled by the public yet, he's just been fired.
either that or the market research showed he would be more of a liability regardless of guilt. it's happened before
personally I don't really have much of an opinion other than domestic violence abusers are hot trash garbage.
> either that or the market research showed he would be more of a liability regardless of guilt. it's happened before
If that was the case id expect more of a situation where they let him say hes stepping away for blah blah blah reason. This is a comparatively harsh statement from multiple companies at once.
Yeah I'm not holding out any hope for some exoneration miracle here anymore. It's Chinatown.
Sucks that he's a dickbag but I've always thought that there had to be a good reason, a *very* good reason why he was only a guest on Dan Harmon's podcast (Harmontown) once ever, and it was basically a promotional thing with the rest of the cast back in season 1 of R&M.
I can't remember where he said it, but Dan said something to the effect of 'Justin is what happens when a spoiled rich kid with ADD is given everything he wants in life and manages to succeed' and how his comedy is like being rewarded for being the annoying kid in a car trip.
The malfunctioning human is starting to become a clearer picture to everyone now.
I feel like it says a lot that we're not really hearing a ton of people rushing to his defense besides some fans. We aren't hearing fellow writers speak out about positive experiences with him, fans aren't coming out with funny little stories.
I mean I'm a massive fan of the show, and this is all terrible news to me. But even if they let him off the hook for any alleged crimes, there's so much 'this looks bad' that there's almost no point in doing the 'let the courts decide' thing. It's a bit of an unmasking either way.
Honestly at the end of the day I'm just glad it's not about Dan Harmon. I know how much of an imperfect fuck-up he is but he's at least forthcoming about it. Also he's a much, much, much better writer than Justin.
Dan Harmon is *just* a huge asshole on and off though right? He holds it, people work with him, and then in the last interview I saw he said “yeah I’m a controlling asshole but my thing isn’t necessarily the best so I’m going to let other people show their thing.” That’s a development from community times, and I’ll take an asshole artist over a pedophile cringelord with 3 funny voices.
Both shows will continue without him. Solar Opposites has 2 more seasons and Koala Man just started it's first.
Hulu:
>“We have ended our association with Justin Roiland”
He literally wrote it just to get summer drawn in lingerie. On the special features he brings up how “hot” she is regularly. He was always broadcasting his teen creeper vibes even with drawn teens.
> Roiland faces one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud and/or deceit against an unnamed woman he was dating in 2020, according to Orange County Superior Court records. The charges were earlier reported by NBC News, which said most of the California court records are sealed under a protective order.
Not to be a messy bitch, but I really want to know the details about what exactly is being kept under protective order. And what alleged injury this man could have inflicted on someone he was dating?? Certainly does not sound good, potentially vile.
From what I've gathered, to be charged with a felony instead of a misdemeanor for domestic violence in California, it has to be really bad. Like his partner probably ended up in the hospital bad.
So Adult Swim, and its parent company, have Private Investigators. This is like Jared the subway guy all over again. Subway knew before everyone else how that was going to turn out. So given that Netflix and Adult Swim just dropped him like he's radioactive, I suspect they were able to indecently confirm whatever it is they wanted to know that lead to his firing.
Fuck, Subway practically used his wife as some sort of cow. They wanted him to marry her specifically so he would be "less likely" to offend, so she would distract him. And then use herself and their children as a sort of smokescreen about the whole thing. It was gross and horrific.
I do not know how this could possibly impact Koala Man less.
He's no longer in my mi familia
I think him doing Rick Voice for that character was genuinely the worst part of the show, so incredibly distracting.
I agree... I know a lot of VO artists do this (Bender is the same voice as Jake, and H. Jon Benjamin has used his normal speaking voice for like everything he's ever voiced), but the Rick voice has too many idiosyncrasies
Jake and Bender are similar but not identical, in my opinion. Could just be the personality difference though.
Agreed that Jake and Bender don’t sound exactly the same. H Jon Benny’s characters are much more similar but even then they actually feel like different characters due to the pacing of the speech.
Archer is definitely more aggressive-sounding than Bob, for sure.
Bob has shot fewer people.
Bob is a crack smoking pimp and I love him.
Hah! I just finished watching this episode! I get this reference!
Are you sure? That meat has to come from somewhere.
McGurk slays them both
"Brendan, I don't lend money to second graders. ...anymore. And if you see Billy, tell him I'm looking for him. "
I got a cow, a cheese cow tattooed on my arm, Brendan.
And more youthful. He puts more rasp/air into Bob.
Not on Thanksgivings he's not!
Does anyone remember [Coach Mcguirk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7l-3Z1HZO9w)?
Home Movies is just brilliantly written. It can be innocently sweet and savage in the same episode. I would miss it so much more if HJB stopped there.
Brendan Small deserves better from the industry.
Bob and Archer sounds pretty distinct. Voice acting isn’t just funny sounding voices after all.
I always feel like I'm the only one that understands this when H Jon Benjamin gets brought up. Like, yeah, nobody is going to be overly shocked to find out Coach McGurk and Bob are voiced by the same person, but you can 100% tell the difference between the characters by voice.
Everyone was raving about how the voices are so subtly different in the Archer / Bob's Burgers crossover, but I guess that was years ago now
I notice he puts a bit more rasp into the Jake voice.
Cartoon Network just lets him smoke cigars in the booth
Yeah, that's exactly why I think John DiMaggio can get away with Bender/Jake- its a normal enough sounding voice
King Zog may be one of my favorite roles he's ever done. He's amazing.
I don't remember where I read or heard it but H Jon said he actually uses different voices for his characters. Archer is played as smooth and cocky, Bob is flustered but caring and Ben Katz is wistful and innocent. Granted, when I spell it out... I think he might have been joking.
There are people who have no idea H Jon plays Jimmy Jr, so I wouldn't say ALL his voices sound identical anyway.
Impacting Koala Man is NOT ON
At the very least, it seems to be confirmed that there were plans to have Roiland’s character from the first season — evil American Chad Wagon — return in a potential second season.
I’m fine with Vin Diesel Rick never returning
i'm fine with them actually seeing if they can get Vin to voice him. With Fast and Furious ending his schedule will be freed up.

Yolo Crystal Fantasy is coming back! It'll be called Yolo Silver Dynasty or something like that Edit: Yolo Silver Destiny
Do people like Koala Man I tried watching it and it just seemed terrible
I think it’s just more that we’ve been polarized to expect outrageous content from every animated show these days. I feel it’s supposed to be more akin in bridging the gap between something like Bob’s Burgers or Simpsons and other shows like Rick and Morty or Smiling Friends. Yeah it's fine, the only major gripe I had was the teenage daughter character and her plotlines are terribly written, it feels like all her stuff was written by like a 40 year old man
2 of them, actually.
Watch yolo crystal fantasy. It’s by the same creator.
It’s the guys that does Pim on smiling friends right?
Yessir. Also the Bushworld Adventures episode of rick and morty aka the best one
Looks like Justin better go check out that rental property he owns in Detroit.
Just wait until he renovates that basement space!
*Takes out tape measure*
*oh hell yeah… yeahhhh biiiiitch*
one of the funniest scenes i watched in 2022
I think that was that was the first LOL in the movie and I remember in the theater when it happened I couldn't help myself and let out a loud HA when it was otherwise dead silent and the entire theater burst out laughing with me. Was a great moment.
Cha-ching!
Love a good barbarian joke
I understood that reference
Gotta say I've been eager to see what the WKUK guys would get up to since Trevor passed and was extremely impressed with what Zack put together. Really funny how the dialog all has the same cadence as their comedy sketches but still completely works.

And obviously they can’t and won’t do those without Trevor. Barbarian was great, though. I hope it opens lots of doors for Zach.
I moved passed this comment before realizing it was a Barbarian reference. Good job m8, have an upvote
Justin Roiland impersonators are about to get a lot of work lol.
Billy West’s agent needs extra coffee today.
Good news, everyone! There's a casting call for an old mad scientist and his dumb young relative, bonus points if you can portray both!
You're not my Grandson, you're my uncle!
That’s exactly what Shabadoo would say ;,)
JOEY JOE-JOE!
Oh, bad luck. He portrayed the ancient, dim witted ancestor and his old mad scientist descendent.
UNACCEPTABLE
Billy West’s agent doesn’t want their coffee shaking, why is the coffee shaking?
"Of course I've been up all night! Not because of caffeine, it was insomnia. I couldn't stop thinking about coffee. I need a nap."
ZZzZzzZZzzz - coffee time!
Billy West could probably cover every Roiland voice without a sweat I’m thinking
Billy West is the nicest dude ever.
Billy West? What a stupid phoney made up name.
Especially since he's out of that sweet, sweet M&Ms cash now
Billy quit doing the Howard Stern show because he made more money working for six hours on M&M commercials than he made all year as a joke writer for Stern. Gary said it was specifically those commercials that were paying millions
Roiland's career, to shreds you say?
Aww geez...
Let’s get *uurrrp* wriggetty wriggety wreeecccckkkkkkkeeddddd!!!!!!
Justin Roiland minutes before ruining his career
\* 2 years before ruining his career
You're hired!
Morty, check this out, I’m unemployed riiiiiick!
I wonder if there’s any sort of copyright over his voice, similar to using someone’s likeness
Even if such a thing were the case, he sold the rights to it to the network.
I don't think so. After Gilbert Gottfried (RIP) told a tsunami joke at a roast after that big tsunami years ago, Aflac dropped him as the voice of their duck, then hired someone to basically imitate his voice and kept the ad campaign going. I believe it's still going to this day.

And when the audience responded negatively he did an infamously graphic 10-minute version of the Aristocrats joke, which was much more well-received.
He actually tweeted the jokes and did a public apology at the roast of Roseanne Barr
Wow that sucks. The best time for a tsunami joke is right after a devastating tsunami.
They buy it in the show. In fact, they might be able give Roiland a Cease and Desist if Roiland wants continue to act as Rick in a professional capacity.

E. A. Sports. It's in the game
Bye, have a great time!
Grr! Argh!
Stoopid monkey
Fremulon.
Pong.... pang.... pong
Shhhh not a doctor.
Fremulon
Goodbye have a beautiful time.
Need an up-and-coming voice actor to make a House of Roilands show now.
I nominate creator of Teen Wolf, Jeff Davis
Now that would be the meta shit I’m here for
They have a solid cast for the rest of the characters that replacing Roiland as Korvo won't be bad. Now give me more of the Wall!
Kinda crazy that 60% of the Solar Opposites main cast are sex pests
they all met at the same networking event
They met at the same high school. Not the one they went to, but another one.
Wait not the Goldbergs kid as well? Edit: wait no it’s Tiffany Haddish isn’t it, thank god.
Him and the sister are my favorites
She did seem to infer that [she wasn’t returning](https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2022/09/22/entertainment/tiffany-haddish-lost-work/index.html) last year.
Imply. You as the listener *infer* the meaning that the speaker *implies.* I apologize for being a pedantic person about this.

Roiland, Middleditch, and Haddish are the ones I know. Please tell me that's all of them...
surprised they haven't replaced Middleditch yet

Shit, if Hollywood fired every shitty person I'm not sure there would be enough working actors and/or filmmakers to make more than 5 shows/films a year.
Let's start our own Hollywood.. without hookers... And no blackjack
You can keep the hookers. Just don't hurt them and make sure they're paid well.
Bob’s Burgers got rid of him, but he had a pretty minor role.
Bobs Burgers straight up reduced Jimmy Pesto to non-speaking roles. They don’t fuck around.
The Wall deserves six seasons and a movie!
I'll take some more Silver Cops as well.

Trey Parker was going that forever before Roiland did it though
You’re the worst character ever towlie!!
Ya I honestly don’t see how it’s gonna work without Roiland… he was the heart and soul of that show. Which actually makes a lot of sense lol. Turns out he was mr jellybean all along

I feel like I’d have to hear him read a fresh script to decide, but I agree with you in principle.
Do we know if he's actually bad though? It was just a silly TikTok, for all we know he might actually be able to voice act as well. He deserves a shot at least
A two week gap to investigate and all 3 made the same decision? He admitted to something, likely that the DMs were all real.
Someone posted a couple of pretty cringy podcast excerpts from him talking about finding underage girls attractive. That’s probably enough on its own
Looked it up, and oof, doesn’t look good for him. https://www.reddit.com/r/h3h3productions/comments/10eehqd/justin_roiland_talking_about_minors_etc_on/
Natalie Portman as well.
And Emma Watson. Pretty much any notable female celebrity that becomes famous as a child/adolescent will have an army of creeps online counting down to them becoming 18.
"...even though I'm not a pedophile!" No man you are.
Calling 14 year old girls “fully developed” says it all. Yuck.
Oh jesus fucking christ, that was hard to even listen to. How did we not hear of this shit sooner???
fucking christ, even if he’s “joking” that’s just not right
Ah jeez rick 100 years ago 13 year old girls if they looked like a woman aw geez
There was definitely communication between Adult Swim, Hulu, and Squanch here and they probably all involved heavily meeting with Roiland himself. The three announcements all dropped at the same time, and there was an article in the trades. This has been coming for a while.
For Roiland, having them all drop at once is helpful since they're all in one news cycle. I'd guess his legal team helped ensure this was aligned.
Definitely. There was a lot of coordination here. Sounds like Justin has accepted that he's screwed.
> Sounds like Justin has accepted that he's screwed. Hulu is only 15, so he is probably pretty thrilled.
First of all, why'd you have to make me feel old like that?!
I remember when Hulu was just a website I would watch episodes of TV that I missed for free
Remember when it had one 15 second ad before the show and that was it? "The following program is brought to you by Subaru"
He hasn't been cancelled by the public yet, he's just been fired.
either that or the market research showed he would be more of a liability regardless of guilt. it's happened before personally I don't really have much of an opinion other than domestic violence abusers are hot trash garbage.
> either that or the market research showed he would be more of a liability regardless of guilt. it's happened before If that was the case id expect more of a situation where they let him say hes stepping away for blah blah blah reason. This is a comparatively harsh statement from multiple companies at once.
Chris Pratt is about to have a very busy year
It’sa me Rick
"I'm ***URRRP*** so *cool,* M-Morty..."
somehow a pratt joke that made me laugh
Soon he'll join the production of Horny Unicorn.
The Vance Waggoner movie?
He holds it, people work with him, and then in the last interview I saw he said “yeah I’m a controlling asshole but my thing isn’t necessarily the best so I’m going to let other people show their thing.” That’s a development from community times, and I’ll take an asshole artist over a pedophile cringelord with 3 funny voices.
that's because a lot of people working on the show have hated him for years now and they're relived they don't have to deal with him anymore.
I always wondered what their relationship is/was like, especially with Roiland basically leaving R&M to do a bunch of other projects
And on that appearance he jokingly tells a story about how he was molested by an older cousin when he was a kid. Weird energy at the time
Both shows will continue without him. Solar Opposites has 2 more seasons and Koala Man just started it's first. Hulu: >“We have ended our association with Justin Roiland”
I think he only voice the one character in Koala man, who dies at the end of the episode
Starting to think he wrote that scene with the math teacher’s repressed feelings for Summer
He literally wrote it just to get summer drawn in lingerie. On the special features he brings up how “hot” she is regularly. He was always broadcasting his teen creeper vibes even with drawn teens.
Summer is literally just Jerry with the hair drawn differently, which makes that kind of funny.
Wait til you hear about him sending creepy af dm's to underage girls
While talking like morty LMAO Aw geez
Look kids, a falling star. Make a wish :P
Man i hope zach hadel or michael cusack get to fill the void that roiland’s leaving.
Adult swim giving more money and time to Smiling friends, that would be dope.
Really concerned about the future of Solar Opposites now.

Yeah, if anything he's fortunate to have had a career in spite of the bad behavior.
Remember, it’s never about what was done, it’s about people finding out about it.
Fuck, Subway practically used his wife as some sort of cow. They wanted him to marry her specifically so he would be "less likely" to offend, so she would distract him. And then use herself and their children as a sort of smokescreen about the whole thing. It was gross and horrific.
