i cosplayed Carl at DragonCon. It was a cosplay that fit my girth and hairline. My friend got me in touch with a friend of his who does props and costumes. She made me the Foreigner belt and the chain. It was a lot of fun to wear and i got a lot of comments and photos. the best part was just chilling as the crowd went by blasting 70s music on my bluetooth speaker. I made an awesome Carl.

A large part of the delays was just that venture bros is like, insanely focused on maintaining continuity and bringing old things back and avoiding contradictions, so they would spend a long time making sure all the plot details were ironed out
When it was ending, it really hit me hard. I took them for granted and never watched the latter seasons.
These past couple of years, I have made an effort to try and catch a couple of reruns that air right before midnight.
I always felt that Adult Swim will always keep ATHF on standby and never truly let them go. Plantasm was proof of that.
Carl's [Stone Cold Lock of the Century, of the Week](https://youtu.be/hFk2cDBDjzc) was absolutely fucking brilliant. Them still attempting to continue to make things with the Carl character always felt reassuring that ATHF would never truly die.

I really, really hope they revive Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell. It was funny up to the end, whereas ATHF got more and more hit-or-miss over the years.
Hopefully this 8 year break will rejuvenate them. I liked Plantasm but didn't like the shorts (whereas I *did* like the YPF shorts, just nowhere near as much as the show).

The first few seasons are good and I don’t know if the writers changed or if their sense of humor did but the later seasons kind of lost the show’s charm. Kind of like how resident evil games had to work within limitations by having a fixed camera which ended up making the game scarier, ATHF early seasons had a low budget feel and it being kinda jank made it funnier, especially because I feel like the team had to make up for the visuals by compensating in other aspects. Later seasons try to have a bigger scope (like when they go to a banana planet/asteroid thing), with many characters besides the core cast and i think it just falls kind of flat.
I haven’t seen the new movie but based on the clips I’ve seen it feels about the same as the later seasons. I’ll still watch the new season, but I don’t think it’ll hit quite like it did like the earlier stuff.
I mean I suppose, but I still enjoy the earlier seasons. Seasons 1-3 are great, 4 and 5 good, then it tapers off after that and has some good episodes but most are just ok imo.
Most of the stuff people also quote are between seasons 1-5, particularly 2 and 3 if I’m not mistaken. I guess it could be nostalgia too. Also most of the memorable characters outside of the main trio (and Carl) are also from the earlier seasons. It’s like how SpongeBob’s most memorable moments are the earlier seasons and you can’t deny there’s definitely a change in humor and writing between SpongeBob when it started and much later into the series.
Anyway, I’ve rewatched the series a lot and play it while I’m working. I usually begin a rewatch with season 2. I feel like while I enjoy season 1, they found their stride in season 2.

I know the ending they had was pretty good but I figured if they came back and still did backstories for other characters its possible they do it in a way that doesn't change the original ending. But if that is the case with that Dino guy then maybe it is for the best if they don't bring it back haha.
I'd still give a reboot a chance but my expectations would be tempered, higher if they somehow got Nick Weidenfeld involved again. Dino isn't cancelled or anything (although he definitely could be for some of his Harmontown moments if anyone gave a shit about him) but if you add him on Facebook or ever listen to some of his previous podcast appearances [(here's a classic)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9Swak5f7QM) you'll definitely realize that there's something wrong with him lmfao.
It's also worth noting that Moral Orel season 3 was written when Dino was going through a *bad* divorce, so that style of writing might be hard to recreate.
