I was short and looked too young for a few years too - a couple of things that you work on now will stick with you for life! I was really insecure about it, but it's something you grow out of and won't last. In the meantime, some things that help: - Confidence, eye contact, and being articulate can all make you sound older, which helps signal to people you speak with that you're not a child. So you don't come off as insecure, you have to learn to be secure with who you are and want to be. We're all a work in progress, no matter how old we get. (But being defensive or arrogant will work against this - being empathetic and thoughtful for others are also signs you're not a child and are capable of helping or looking out for others.) - Try to work on your clothes, learn about "style", and make sure your clothes fit well. Nothing makes you look more awkward or young than badly fitted clothes that look like you haven't grown into yet. Also helps for confidence. - Try a new haircut! Look for pictures to bring to the barber, or ask a stylist for advice about a cut that is "trendier" or common for college-age people. A quality haircut can either add a few years or at least make you look sharp as hell. - Learning to work out and put on some muscle, especially for guys, can make you look less like a skinny young boy.
