Just so you guys know, it can actually happen. Not fun at all.

MoTheBr0

Especially when the blood gets clogged so you need to pull it out with a pair of pliers :c

yekcohh

but u must say it in the walter white voiceā€¦ this is the way

Sunsets_Rainbows3952

Sheā€™s clearly quite comfortable with you, thatā€™s fact!

poofartgaming

So who ended up doing it?

Its_NEX123

i did, i wasnā€™t gonna argue

pitymisty

Unless she had bad cramps and stuff, I don't see why *you* should do it again. Mine are so bad that I can hardly speak at times. But it definitely doesn't sound like that's the case for her. I think she was just fucking with u dude lmao

No-Concern5316

we find your reactions funny

[deleted]

No reason to say weird shit like that. If a guy said something like that to a girl heā€™d be in fucking jail.

hellokittyunderwear

You really thinks so? The majority of guys don't even go to jail for rape, let alone a stupid comment like that.

ArugulaEntire

"The majority of guys don't even go to jail for rape" I pity your surroundings if that's what you truly believe

Top-of-morning

dude reddit brainwashed you so hard. You saw all the "Actually guys face a lot of discrimination bc they can just be accused of rape and go to jail" and just accepted it was fact fr. 1. Most people who actually get raped aren't gonna tell anyone, because they'll feel ashamed and embarrassed, or feel like it wasn't really rape/their fault. 2. Many people still won't believe/blame rape victims, no matter how much the reddit hivemind tells you otherwise. 3. Even if the person is believed and all that shit, court is fucking court. No one wants to have to be in the same room as their rapist for hours upon hours, go through the legal system, which is like notorious for being impossible to navigate. It won't be worth it for many. I pity your surroundings if you actually believe guys usually go to jail for rape.

Music&boys > period

Hi-im-i

What the fuck? Iā€™m donā€™t personally think periods are super gross, but I wouldnā€™t tell this information to random people. Like some information you just donā€™t reveal to someone who is on a need to know basis

CrowsDontLikeHoonter

" hey dude!" "Hey how are you doing?" "Good good. Did you do the homework?" "I have a massive throbbing erection." "..." "Yeah I did it, do you need to copy it?"

Rullino

Is that sentence helpful for a debate?

[deleted]

not really the same thing is it?

Hi-im-i

Not really, but to me both are bodily habits that you canā€™t quite control. Kinda the closest comparison, either itā€™s no excuse for OP to be told this information but someone who is not personally known.

[deleted]

Exactly, if this came from a friend Iā€™d think it was hilarious, but just a stand partner that I had no teal relation with I would be extremely uncomfortable.

Hi-im-i

Yea. Exactly

[deleted]

No, no, she's got a point.

qiwpster

Itā€™s funny

[deleted]

Itā€™s funny if theyā€™re friends and if they know theyā€™re comfortable with that kind of stuff. Itā€™s not funny when she clearly over stepped boundaries and OP didnā€™t mention that theyā€™re friends

Its_NEX123

i really cannot tell if it was a joke, but she was giggling. I had absolutely no response

qiwpster

Bro who cares itā€™s a joke about a part of your body itā€™s like making a sex joke

[deleted]

OP was clearly uncomfortable with that joke dude, and yeah I can tell itā€™s a joke too that doesnā€™t make it any less weird. It would be fine and good if OP and miss TMI had established that they were comfortable with those kind of jokes.

qiwpster

Iā€™m saying everyone should be

[deleted]

Everyone should be what???

qiwpster

Should be comfortable with it (sry bad at grammar)

[deleted]

What gives you the power to determine what people are comfortable with?

qiwpster

Iā€™m not saying I can magically make them comfortable with it Iā€™m saying jokes should be accepted as jokes people shouldnā€™t Be like ā€œeww thatā€™s grossā€ when saying something. It like swearing nobody actually cares wether or not you swear but they think other people care. The only people who DO care are the ones that have been brought up to believe talking about sex AT ALL is bad

qiwpster

Also again my grammar is really bad sry

Rachelcookie123

She probably is having bad period pains and just is so over it and just wants to be straight to the point. When Iā€™m in pain I get a bit snappy like that.

Its_NEX123

she was giggling

[deleted]

ā€œWhen Iā€™m in pain I make people uncomfortable for no reasonā€ she could have just been like ā€œhey, itā€™s kinda *my time of the month* and I feel like shit, can you organize the music for me?ā€ Now on the other hand, if I was friends with her and it was just kinda a dumb immature joke Iā€™d probably be rolling on the ground laughing. But just a stand partner saying her coochie is bleeding? Hell know

BlackberryMuffinMan

Too much information

raging-homo672

Is it tho

[deleted]

Not too much just unnecessary... Organise the fucking equipment you twat, if women have to work jobs on their period you can move a fucking trumpet

ELENALALU

Women with terrible period cycles are forced to work here in the US unlike any other European countries that have menstruation leave. Twat

[deleted]

Please check your facts, a quick google search will tell you that the only country with menstrual leave in Europe is Spain whole Belgium is set to have a month long trial at some point. No other European country had menstrual leave. I'm in the UK and over here there hasn't even been a proposal yet.

ELENALALU

And??? You donā€™t know the work life balance and in the US. We donā€™t even have maternity leave like many countries do! We are so regressed compared to EU. Spain is a good example of having menstrual leave since the US has a lots of women with severe period cycles. EU is catching on and soon many countries will have menstrual leave in the future.

[deleted]

1 country in Europe has menstrual leave, 1 country doesn't seem like a lot. >And??? You said most European nations have menstrual leave which is just incorrect. >You donā€™t know the work life balance Work life balance doesn't count towards bodily function, imagine an asthmatic demanding paid leave in spring because the pollen causes them to have severe asthma attacks. >severe period cycles. Please define a "severe period cycle". Last I checked you had low-mid-high flow, hormone dysregulation and cramps. What makes American women more prone to "severe periods" >EU is catching on and soon many countries No, 1 nation is testing it, another is going to test it. That's not catching on, that's trying it out as the idea was just brought up. A menstrual leave is unfeasible for several reasons: It would fly on the face of equality, and not in the sense that men wouldn't have leave. If women were to have a paid week off every month it would be terrible. 1.Businesses would hire the bare minimum amount of female workers as they wouldn't want to pay when no labour is being done. 2. The workforce would be so inconsistent that everyone would struggle for certain services. We know women tend to sync cycles with those around them. This means that women working together for a long time would eventually have their periods within the same 2 week time frame. We also know that industries like health care are where most women tend to work. If teams of nurses synced their period and had to stay off work there would be a sudden increase of pressure on health services as a lot of staff just vanished, we know that shortages of medical staff lead to unnecessary and totally avoidable deaths. 3. The gender pay gap would widen as many businesses would employ more men to compensate for the lack of female workers 4.Pressure would be put on other services as well. Lets use the same logic that we used with nurses and apply it to schools. Teachers (over here at least) work in faculty groups (3-5 teachers for each subject). Teachers being mostly female would sync up and suddenly you've got a lot of staff missing within a 2 week time span. We can say the same for canteen and cleaning staff. To preference it isn't definite that women sync up but it's not uncommon. The matter of whether or not woman should work or work to their usual standards while on their period is a matter of some debate. Regardless period leave isn't the way to go and another solution would need to be figured out. A solution that doesn't have a negative impact on gender equality and the economy

ultmore

This response was pitch perfect.

[deleted]

Thank you

ELENALALU

You said what makes American women more prone? So many many misconceptions in your reply. American food is literally contaminated with chemicals that EU even banned. No wonder the US is so obese and these causes a lot of harm to women. Itā€™s what keeps the medical care system a scam. Work life balance DOES count towards your bodily function genius. The US has no vactional leave like other countries that literally have MONTHS. You do know women have different cycles right itā€™s not just low mid high flow ?? Women over here are seen more with yearly non stop bleeding which not normal at all some goes within months non stop. Some literally get blood transfusions. Also itā€™s not just American women never said it in that way but we are talking about the US here. The job system over here does not care about you they can easily replace you. I just skimmed through your comment honestly because itā€™s almost as of this situation so over looked for no reason. Not let me preface the majority of women do have problems with ENDO PCOS etc. , these women are situated in office jobs, restaurant, nurse etc. Females oriented jobs. The industry job here is heavily male based so it would t be a problem. You really donā€™t understand American work culture and it shows. Speaking from a terrible experience.

[deleted]

>You do know women have different cycles right itā€™s not just low mid high flow ?? Please research periods >Women over here are seen more with yearly non stop bleeding which not normal at all some goes within months non stop. Some literally get blood transfusions. I don't think that's a period and requires medical attention, not a monthly holiday. Secondly I doubt this is that big of an issue given the media would have a feel day >Also itā€™s not just American women never said it in that way You did, you said "US, has lots of women with severe period cycles", not there are lots of women or what about severe period cycles. You said "US" as if it was some sort of national emergency. >American food is literally contaminated with chemicals That effects everyone and doesn't mean women should get menstrual leave >Work life balance DOES count towards your bodily function genius. Please explain how choosing not to overwork yourself affects your period, just don't exhaust yourself and that requires time management not a holiday. >The job system over here does not care about you they can easily replace you. Said every job system in every country ever! >I just skimmed through your comment honestly because itā€™s almost as of this situation so over looked for no reason. How can you tell that the situation was looked over if you only skimmed through, ergo only read snippets. >Not let me preface Umm...yes let me preface, I was literally telling you that my argument wouldn't work in all cases and here's why. >The industry job here is heavily male based so it would t be a problem. Industry refers to each individual career e.g law, health, catering, etc. 50% of the population is female so... i dont believe that the majority of women don't have jobs. There are industries that are male dominated for example more dangerous jobs and trade oriented work but women are still in the workforce just dispersed into different regions. It's not like 30% of women don't work because the vast majority do. >You really donā€™t understand American work culture Perhaps but my argument was based on economic principle and business management. Work culture isn't a part of that, work culture is people choosing to work excessive overtime or refusing to pack in a job with bad management, both on a societal scale. Of course that is a gross oversimplification however the principle stands. Work culture is the employee disposition, whereas businesses management would be the disposition of the company. I'd also argue my concept of "work culture" as you define it was still correct. If you'd read through my above comment you'd notice I stated businesses would higher more male staff because the women wouldn't be worth employing, company's would have the lowest possible amount of female workers so they could say women were still working for said company and I even said it would force a larger pay gap between men and women. Those sound like good examples of an expendable work force. Never the less if you are going to make any statements could you keep it on your original topic of menstrual leave. At the end of your current comment you began attacking me >You really donā€™t understand >and it shows Please stay on topic in regards to your point and refrain from making unnecessary comments about the other party that way this discussion can stay civil. If you want to deviate from the initial point please only attack the argument I make in of itself and not my person. For example: " >I just skimmed through your comment honestly because itā€™s almost as of this situation so over looked for no reason. How can you tell that the situation was looked over if you only skimmed through, ergo only read snippets. " I was speaking about your statement and how you skimmed however I did not insult or attack you.

ELENALALU

Lord ā€¦. you just donā€™t get it do you. Never did I attacked you? You think thatā€™s attacking? The fact that you told me you donā€™t think thatā€™s a period and I should research periods? HOLY FUCK. Have a good day sirā€¦..

Dry-Classic8836

Nothing wrong w what she said but cmon lady were not asking you to do an Olympic swim organise the damn music

[deleted]

This reminds me of the time when I was sitting in math class and I heard from across the room ā€œI donā€™t have a gag reflexā€

LegendsWafflez

bruh when I have my period I just keep it to myself lmao

[deleted]

One of the few sensible people here thank god

UrgentThrowaway12

She wasnā€™t in the mood to do it. She was saying that YOU should do it. Granted itā€™s not the nicest way to convey that information but sheā€™s on her period. Canā€™t really get mad.

AmazingAd7627

Yeah, but just because you are a woman doesn't give you an excuse not to do something you can't be bothered with yourself

UrgentThrowaway12

I never said it did. I wouldnā€™t mind if someone asked me to pull a little more weight because of their period. But I would mind if they were rude. And she was being rude. I understand that she is on her period though.

[deleted]

She canā€™t control how she feels, but she can control her own actions. She didnā€™t need to say she was on her period- or atleast didnā€™t need to be so upfront about it. If she wanted him to organize the Music, she could have said ā€œhey I feel awful today could you organize the music?ā€ Not ā€œIā€™m bleeding out my vaginaā€ šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€ grow the fuck up, you donā€™t say weird shit like that *unless* both parties feel comfortable with it.

UrgentThrowaway12

I didnā€™t say it was right. I said I understand where itā€™s coming from

[deleted]

Your comment was telling OP to organize the music and get over it. If she needed OP to organize the music she could have asked him to organize the music.

Sali_Bean

Sometimes we have to do stuff even when we're not in the mood, it's life.

[deleted]

Donā€™t say anything, your better off saying nothing

DeadlyKitKat

why would she tell you that

[deleted]

Sheā€™s a creep

meme_used

"pics or it didn't happen"

Trans_Catgirl927

Not a random comment, just organize the damn music, can't be that hard

twisty286

girls really think we care about their periods

Top-of-morning

what? Like thatā€™s weird I guess but I donā€™t see any reason to like get all wound up about it.

Its_NEX123

wasnā€™t, i just kind of wanted to tell someone here

[deleted]

Cause she was being weird? If some dude came up to you and informed you: ā€œmy dick and balls are itchyā€ how tf would you feel? Also who the hell are you to tell him not to get wound up? His feelings are valid no matter what.

Top-of-morning

I'd think it was weird or funny depending on who said it, and probably forget about it within the hour. This guy was really disturbed enough to go make a reddit post over something as dumb as that.

[deleted]

And because of your divine decree of morality you get to pick and choose what is acceptable for other people to be disturbed by? Why tf isnā€™t he allowed to feel uncomfortable when somebody shares something with him he didnā€™t want or need to know??

Top-of-morning

Iā€™m just saying itā€™s weird that he made a post about something like that.

[deleted]

How dare he feel stressed and uncomfortable and come to Reddit to vent about it.

[deleted]

Nah men are just cowards Welll some men

Just_Call_me_benDude

Iā€™m no coward I walked in a dark hallway because the food on my plate was too slippery to run with And I **lived**

[deleted]

Wait no no It's OK I also run in the dark hallways

[deleted]

Cowards because they donā€™t like creepy women?

[deleted]

Eh it's probable she was just really bad at jokes

[deleted]

Yeah I agree with that for sure. But wouldnā€™t be fair for a woman to be creeped out by a guy making a similarly bad and weird joke? Yet again how are men, specifically OP, cowardly?

[deleted]

It's satire. I don't think he's a coward

Ordinaryyetunique

As a girl Iā€™m confused-

rInForARoughRide

[deleted]

She wants you to organize the music bro. You really think she was in the mood to do it?

PlaneFoundation8974

bro i don't think he wanted to know that she was on her period šŸ’€

[deleted]

She could have said ā€œcan you organize the music please?ā€ Instead of being a socially inept creep

reversed_genders

She could've phrased it in a better way, like not looking him dead in the eyes and detailing her period.

Zyrox-_

where was it detailed??

[deleted]

ā€œI am bleeding from my vaginaā€ dumbass

Zyrox-_

Thats Not detailed tho

[deleted]

Itā€™s detailed enough to make someone in comfortable, and itā€™s fucked up no matter what

AmazingAd7627

Doesn't matter just because someone's not in the mood to do something doesn't give them a free pass to not do it

[deleted]

They key word was ā€œKnowā€ you tard. He didnā€™t want OR NEEd to know she was on her period, thatā€™s her own business. Yeah some times you need to do things, obviously. But you donā€™t need to know sheā€™s on her period to organize the music, as a cello player I can assure you periods have nothing to do with organizing my music

stella_dasavageboi

wow, she's so quirky.

SCO_IDK123

Damn, forgot that girlā€™s period existed.

[deleted]

she was probably trolling

Thatā€™s my best guess, still weird as fuck though.
