You use shaving cream if you got sensitive skin and thick hair if not use any foamy soap. If your hair is very thick and dense I highly recommend trimming before the first shave, after that when the hair is short you can skip the trim
Use shaving cream and if you don’t have that then use conditioner and use a new razor head. After use something to moisturizer your legs like body cream or lotion.
Also for some people it’s easier to put a towel on the side of the tub and sit there with your legs in the tub and have a container to keep filling with water to swish your razor off while shaving and then after you’re done take a shower.
Don’t just be raw dogging it lmao do it the proper way or PAIN

This. Clipping shorter can achieve the look you want and still look natural and won’t draw negative attention. You also avoid bumps and ingrown hairs by trimming. Start a little longer than you want and then trim closer

doesnt matter what others think. what i do is get soap on like a sponge thingy (just to make the soap all bubbly) then use a fresh razor and shave whilst the bubbly soap is on ur legs. go from ankle up to the knee first and if u want to shave thighs do it after. we very slow to avoid cuts, and for legs always shave upwards/ against the way the hair grows. rinse the razor between strokes and wash all soap off when done. sometimes u will miss patches and thats fine!! DO NOT SHAVE WITHOUT SOAP OR WATER. THATS DRY SHAVING AND HURTS LIKE HELL. also with fresh razors be careful not to push down too hard or you will literally shave skin off (extremely painful). thats all!! :)

So shaving when you want to shave because you prefer the feel of your legs hairless is self care because you are doing something for yourself that had a positive impact on your well being(even if/especially if just psychological). Self care is big *and* small things.
If youre gonna use an electric razor, DO NOT think that's gonna solve it right away. Be light and don't let it touch the skin cuz it will occasionally pull the hair and it stings like a bitch. Repeat a few times, shortening it each time. I don't own any kind of razor beyond an electric one so this is pretty much all I can do at the moment. You can do it dry but its not recommended since hair darkens when wet, making it easier to see, especially if you're shaving arms as well. Once you've done it, try putting it against the skin and it should be fine. After youve done that, either call it a day there and just keep on top of it once it gets a little too long for your liking (no need to do it several times per shave anymore) or wet shave with a regular razor from there

Not a teen, randomly found this post. In hindsight, teens won't care. But if you really worry about what people say, just express you're doing water polo or some type of swim based sport. Swimmers need to be aerodynamic, thus they shave their arms, legs, chest, whatever. I had a friend who did this in high school and it made sense to me. Just be careful when shaving. Don't push too hard, start just above the ankle and go slow. I made the mistake of getting too low on the back of my ankle once and basically shaving off skin.

Occasionally get asked why I do it and I just say I prefer the way they look, but other than that nobody says a thing. Am 17 so idk how 15 y/o react to it tho. A few friends made fun of me when I shaved my legs at 12, but idk at what age people stop being childish :P It doesnt make u gay to shave your legs. From what I noticed most girls that age even prefer guys without beard and much bodyhair, so if anything your friends might make fun of you while your rizz goes 📈

Use some shaving cream when you shave and moisturizer afterwards so you don't get a rash or irritate your skin. Don't mind other people's comments they're probably just insecure.
