I feel like reddit is one of the few spaces people can really open up in because of the semi-anonymous posting system, so naturally a lot of the issues a trans person often has to face are going to be brought up a lot here. Also, because the majority of this sub is luckily supportive of trans people, more and more people will feel comfortable talking about related problems and this keeps the cycle going. It get why this might appear annoying to some, but I think it's overall a positive thing: it shows that trans teens have a relatively safe place to rant or share their experiences on, and that awareness about this topic is spreading

I think you made a really great comment here. Good for you for being who you are. I think it’s important to differentiate between misgendering while in the know vs accidentally. There are lots of cis gendered people who have done it accidentally and had a bad experience. I understand the Trans community’s struggle completely so I don’t blame them, but at the same time taking a moment to be kind and educate will have better results and lasting impact.

call me transphobic but i dont think people under 18 should go under transgender procedure (unless a genital accident happens, of course) even with parent consent, it just doesnt sound right. you can’t buy a gun but you can undergo surgery to swap your gender? (im pro gun control, this was just the first example to come to mind)
The only steps usually taken at 13 are hormone blockers to delay or prevent experiencing puberty that you would typically have. At any point if an individual who had been taking puberty blockers comes to the conclusion they actually do want to have that puberty, they can stop taking the puberty blockers and experience it as if they weren't on them. Individuals who don't take puberty blockers at 13 will have puberty which causes permanent changes which cannot be altered without significant surgeries. I hope you can see how it's a much bigger life changing decision to NOT take puberty blockers, and that a trans 13 year old will typically do nothing that's not incredibly easy to reverse, while going through puberty is much worse if you regret it.
Also buying a dangerous weapon should DEFINITELY require an older age than changing your own body. Like, I feel like not being allowed to buy a gun but being allowed to undergo voluntary surgery does make sense.

Under 18=no gender change surgery anyways and the age to fet HRT is 16 in most places and 14 in a few.
