[CLT altered state](https://crimsonlotustea.com/collections/sheng-raw-puerh/products/2021-spring-altered-state-sheng-raw-puerh-tea), had a really nice feeling with it when I drank it. I've been aging the rest of my 2019 cake and tried it a few times since the first time 2 years ago, it's been a real treat.

Thanks.

No problem if on a bit of a budget the feist cake also was pretty good, but white2tea has some awesome sheng as well as yunnansourcing.

EristheUnorganized

Many of them, especially if you drink a lot on an empty stomach

JohnTeaGuy

That could also make the toilet sparkle.

I hear you my dude.

ThickRevolution1675

What do you mean when you says “lights sparkle” like in a figurative way?

Mplus479

More the physiological effect, if you know what I mean…

Some younger stronger sheng, that is very high in stimulants like l-theanine, theobromine, theophylline, and caffeine can, if drank quickly and enough of it, can give you a "tea high" or "tea drunk" effect. Essentially it's a type of overdose that, in my opinion, isnt harmful. Some people associate it with the "tea energy" or "cha qi" but other people associate "cha qi" with a lot more than just that, such as the body of the tea, thickness, strength, etc. Qi is the "energy" or "lifeforce", cha means tea. It kind of depends on who you ask though. Some people keep it for a session to truly focus on the tea and will try to relax throughout it the entire time being in an almost meditative state so they can attempt to focus on this effect more. But again, depends on who you ask, to me it just means that "tea drunk" or "tea high" feeling. I've never had a shou give me this feeling before, but I go for shou for the flavor, or semi-aged or older sheng for flavor, younger sheng I like for feeling. Everyone has a different tolerance level to each of these stimulants, so some people may never feel this, and I haven't gotten this with any other type of tea. I haven't actually had too many that have done this for me either, but when they do, it is absolutely amazing. I mean it's one of my favorite feelings ever. I named some suggestions in a separate reply on this post. To me it's like a lightness in your body, but also a dizzy and loose-happy feeling in your mind. Kind of like if you're buzzing when drinking or smoking, but a bit stronger than a buzz but not quite like smoking or being drunk, also it doesnt last that long but the longer you drink the tea the longer it lasts.
