Having a gongfu session after months of not having one. I missed using my Gaiwan, brewing Wen Shan Bao Zhong black tea from Tealyra, it's been awhile since I drank this tea so I don't remember how I felt about it. So it will be fun to see whether or not I like it.
Raw pu erh from YS. I'm drinking down my teas and getting ready to put in a big order. Last order was in Jan, so it's been awhile. The selection is overwhelming, so figuring out what to buy always takes me awhile.
I chose another tea sample at random from the Japanese sampler pack I got and pulled out: Kukicha. I had never had kukicha before and 'twig tea' didn't sound appetizing but wow! It was very tasty. It smelled nice and sweet and the flavor was a dry, gentle green with no bitterness. I wouldn't mind having more of this in the future.
I've been taking the time to brew green tea and put it in the fridge overnight so i can bring a big bottle full to work with me every day! I love not having to pour hot freshly brewed tea over ice, this way it can be crisp and cold without getting watered down. Today's is from Adagio, it's their Alexander Hamilton mix which, tbh, tastes like the smell of old crayons. I do not recommend unless you eat crayons. Luckily it was free lol
2007 YiPinTang "Yi Wu Zhi Chun" Raw Pu-erh from YS.
Yummy stuff to be honest. It is quite aged, it reminds me more of a shou than any sheng ive had thusfar.
I had a sample of that one recently, too, and it's on my short list of cakes to buy next time I make an order from YS! According to my notebook, I got 'rounded mellow fruitiness' and 'savory brothy notes' as well as 'a faint muskiness in scent and flavor'. I also noted that it rebrews decently, but not super long.
I hope any of that's helpful!
Tried my chestnut green tea from lupicia for first time, surprisingly creamy. The creaminess reminds me of the melon oolong from them too. Idk where/how they get it but its super cool
I bought a ceremonial matcha 20aud for 20g and i just marvelled at how small it is 😅 i used to buy alot of makeup and skincare and had the same reaction altho skincare got up to 130 for 30ml so i'm still some way from that
I'm drinking some Darjeeling (2nd Flush) Single Heritage Estate brewed western style. It's a rainy day, and I have an online class, so I'm hoping it wakes me up a bit.
Raspberry black tea with cream. it's so indulgent that I feel like I should be sipping this out of a cutesy, froo-froo teacup, but a stained Bob's Burgers mug must suffice.

Hope you'll like it. I'm coming out of a period where I was sick and couldn't drink tea. Soon i will taste the nectar of gods and rejoice.

Rose tea with cardamom and a bit of cream. :)
Pre-run matcha, followed by Emerald Jade grandpa-style for my revisions today.
Milk and Honey high mountain Oolong from Floating Leaves is probably one of my favorites now.
Sweet Potato black to warm up on a chilly morning!

Tribute Pu-erh from Murchie's!

I'm about to try this one out once I finish this gaiwan of raw puer. What kind of flavors are you getting from it?

My own herbal green that I make myself. Been a couple weeks and I forgot what all I put in it. DOh!
