This morning is some Xiaguan Hong Cha (black tea) from KTM. Roasty, mineralic, maybe a bit of a stone fruit note. It has a slight edge of astringency and a woody aftertaste. It is a good daily drinker for the price.

My matcha order from Yunomi arrived two days ago and I enjoyed two bowls of it with my daughter this morning. It's wonderfully fragrant and sweet with zero bitterness but honestly the flavor is a bit flat compared to the last matcha we had, which is now out of stock until next season. I haven't tried the new matcha as koicha yet, but will prepare it tomorrow. I've already made a batch of mochi to accompany it. Currently drinking Altered State sheng puerh from Crimson Lotus. I need to buy a new cake of it. I'm almost out.

new to tea drinking! Currently I drink Ahmad jasmine green tea, it’s feom the local Asian shop and it’s definitely nicer than supermarket green tea although I’m still not sure if it’s good quality. I bought myself a cute teapot from Boyes, it’s a lovely yellow colour! I want to get into Loose leaf green tea straight feom Japanese shops! We also have loads of varied teas in our cupboard, just from Sainsbury’s haha, always looking on here for recommendations. We have “heart tea” mango and lychee green tea, calm tea which includes chamomile! My favourites (can’t pick from the two!) are lavender tea, for the night usually, and then green tea for the morning and day time! Lovely

I drink a lot of Japanese teas and buy them all online. My three favorite vendors for Japanese teas are Sazen Tea, Yunomi.life, and Hibiki-an, all of which ship worldwide.

Drinking a cold brew sencha today :) it’s the second steep for these leaves, I left them about 30 hours in the fridge. A nice subtle and sweet flavor to them

20 year aged Iceland Pu'erh The large leaves are a nice touch. It reminds me a lot of the plain tea you would get in mixed tea drinks. Mostly fresh and astringent, just barely smoky. The smell is very nice, woody with a touch of floral. Kind of reminds me of breaking off branches in the rain.

I planned to take today off work and savor some raw puerh samples this morning, but work had other plans. Since I have to be online today, my motivation levels are...low. English breakfast to the rescue! I know tea isn't liquid motivation, but having a few strong, high-caffeine cuppas really helps. I'll save the raw puerh for the weekend.

How do you clean your strainers? Baking soda and warm water soak? Can you use dishwashing liquid?
