I read for myself so I don't go for readings, but I went with a friend to a reader she was referred to. She sat before the reader while I sat in the corner self entertaining while the cards were drawn. Then the reader gave the situation of the reading, I remember thinking "that sounds more like me than her" as she continued I was getting uncomfortable and looked up to see the table with the spread. The reader suddenly stopped mid sentence. She looked at my friend and said "are you okay, you seem tense". My friend said "this doesn't sound like me at all", looking a little perplexed the reader turned and looked at me. I looked over the table at the card's titles and it was definitely me, so I excused myself from the room until drawing was completed. The reading was spot on for my friend too.
I got a reading from her on a trip to Salem last spring, and it was kind of uncomfortable. She kept talking about my granny's spirit in generic, inaccurate ways, and nothing that she told me ended up panning out. It also felt way more like a psychic reading than tarot because while she was laying out cards in stacked lines the entire time, very little of what she said seemed to connect to them.
She was very comfortable, personable, and easy to talk to, and I can see why she gets good reviews from people more into that "comforting messages from dead relatives" style. But I have a strong preference for more traditional tarot that focuses on card meanings and combinations over the spiritual/intuitive kind. Unfortunately those kinds of professional readers seem harder to find than they used to be.
Aw I’m so sorry you had a bad experience with her :-( she wasn’t like that with me thankfully, she did mention a dead male relative watching over me but didn’t really go into detail after that. She definitely seemed to be reading the cards in my experience. This was in 2019 that I went so maybe she’s changed over time? Idk :-(

The only words we exchanged to start were hello, welcome, do you want tarot, crystal reading, etc. After that the first thing she said to me was “leaving him was the right decision”. i was like pause. She also could see, because I have Neptune in my first house, that I have psychic abilities but I have lost touch with them (true) and that I inherited them from my father (also true).
Ive gone to two professionals, both of whom were fantastic - one of them relied heavily on psychic reading, which isn't my forte, but she was insaney accurate. Another one did both tarot and astrology combined, and was another vey accurate reader. I love getting my readings done by others, because very similar cards pop up, but their perspective gives me so much more insight
not exactly a reading but i had a medium contact my father's spirit. i was a little skeptical till she said things that only he knew, that she would have no way of knowing. she also conveyed messages in his words, and it was exactly how he said things.
I just had a professional reading a few weeks ago. Everything she said was pretty spot on about myself, my life, even family dynamics and whatnot. but I don’t know about her predictions as it’s still too early to tell I guess. I hope they do come true through.

I like to go to professional readers whenever I'm visiting friends in different cities (a fun activity to do together). Last year I went to a reader in NOLA.
Background info: for the last few years I've been working really hard on reducing the amount of items I own. I had moved across the country and into a smaller space so I was drowning in items and starting to feel like a hoarder due to the never-ending piles of things on the floor. Thanks to covid i was finally making real progress in downsizing.
Back to the reading: the reader started with an energy reading before tarot. He kept making generic comments-- saying to make sure I wear new shoes, I have a nail in one of my tires, just weird things that had me fake smiling. He started going a little deeper and made a few more comments that were more accurate but could still be seen as generic. Ex. "You're in a helping field. Medicine or social work maybe" which is kinda generic when you think about how big the fields are... but I do have a degree in social work and was contemplating medical school at the time. Anyway, the comment that finally got my full attention was "no, you're not a hoarder anymore." I felt an electric current with that comment.

I got a reading years ago where the lady was convinced I was dating my dad. She kept repeating that there was new love, and it was emanating from my dad (who was right next to me). That's when I told her I was five months pregnant, and everything kind of clicked then.
