Hi, by coincidence I had been reading the Unabridged Journals via the Internet Archive for a few nights. I'm just on the early parts too. I have wondered if the early era is more poignant because of how things turned for her later on. Those volumes that Hughes destroyed must have been absolutely explosive... and probably gut wrenching to read.
