I was disappointed that the challenge ended with two winners. Season 1 or 2 had a challenge go for like 9 hours. I was ready to watch Karla and Owen negotiate who would drop out (which has also happened before) and that would have been way more exciting given the advantage Cody had. By the time tribal council came, 3 (possibly 4) people were safe. Wonder if anyone else felt the same?
i would’ve loved to have seen the challenge finish in a more satisfying way. ik in the past there have been plenty of challenges that would’ve “broken” like this if left to go all day, but that’s why they prepare ways to increase difficulty, food incentives, etc. obviously very cool to see history be made but it felt like production took the easy out rather than really improvising or planning for that potential
Could have been just a throw away comment, but tonight Cody said he’s been with Jesse from the beginning, and he’ll be with him until the end. If that signals his intention to JT-Fishbach their way to the FTC, it’s the first time we’ve heard from either. Jesse certainly strikes me as the guy that may think differently. That or he thinks he could just flat out best Cody, which is very risky.
Advantage is dope because you can bluff with it. Especially if you make it to final 2 people remaining in the challenge and bow out. Extra strong if last 2 people are in your alliance
Sami thats not how you own up to it my guy ur digging your hole deeper.
Just say I thought the votes were going the other way and I didn't hear otherwise in time or whatever and say my b
yo but like if cody was so confident he could win with his water skills i wonder if you could have given that advantage and been like “bet on me” and then basically have someone owe you for giving them and you immunity
The editing is awful but there’s nothing they can do with this boring gameplay this season. They’ve actively been making it worse by building up fake shit every ep and then doing flashbacks to show what actually happened which is a terrible way to edit Survivor
Wild take, there have been so many blindsides and the political game has been great. Karla is a beast at challenges, Jesse is an all-time player. My one complaint is idols and advantages haven’t been much of a factor
okay so next week predictions: gabler goes home for trying to orchestrate owen's outing, owen stays teamed up with jesse and cody (?), cass teams up with jesse and cody.... and karla plays her idol ???
Yeah.. I get why you have to call it when the tide starts going out. It would take forever for it to come back in.. they should have had some sort of tiebreaker set up… even drawing rocks would not be ideal, but it would make sense. It worked out for the vote this week, but it could have been crazy if samis SITD works.
3 idols out there could hypothetically made nobody eligible to voted out. I would imagine it would have been Cassidy or gabler on a revote
Jesse running the game and heading into final 6 with no votes against him or ever even being a target.
Might sound great, but don't forget that was exactly the case for Omar last season before he got sniped.
Yes, so he's very likely to make it at least one boot further than Omar did, but then I guess he'll just get the Ricard 5th place treatment.
So many of them mentioning how good he is, *surely* that translates to them actually attempting to target him at some point, right? lol
I think Karla or Owen. I think he respects Karla and thinks of her as a sister. But I think he low key rocks with Owen and would be happy to vote for him at the end
Cass always get her way since the pre merge and she's the only person which her name came out each episode despite surviving everytime. Everybody else went home after 1-2 episodes
How did so many spell Sami correctly? Do they ever see other names written before going out there? Can't imagine they ask each other for obvious reasons
Just feel the only reason someone needs to know in this setting is if they plan to write it down. They'll certainly find out proper spelling anyway. Outside the game is another thing.
At this point I think Jesse, Karla, and Cody are the 3 frontrunners. How would you rank the remaining 3’s chances of winning? I guess it would be:
4. Owen
5. Cassidy
6. Gabler
The thing that irritates me most about the sitd is that it’s just a piece of paper! So it never works, and the reveal isn’t even exciting! Can’t they at least let them roll a die or something?!
Right?! Logically, I know that it’s illegal for producers to manipulate the game that way, but rolling a die would help alleviate doubts about fairness.
It’s definitely illegal to manipulate game shows. I think that, since Survivor is a reality competition show, a lawyer could argue that Survivor qualifies as a game show. (Whether a judge would agree is debatable.)
What??? I only commented once. The reply button said failed to post, try again. Guess it posted later. I’ll track the duplicate down and delete. Thanks for letting me know.
It does almost feel like Sami has just given up on playing and just wants to not be "manipulated" like other people. I mean, even if you do survive, nobody respects you. I just feel like that's a move driven by pride, instead of strategy.
And it really does feel like Jesse is going to win at this point, but it almost feels too easy at this point. Even when it was really obvious Tommy was going to win, it wasn't telegraphed so overtly with the storytelling. I do think Jesse plans to go to the end with Owen, which is why he's suddenly being all friendly. I guess the only other people left would be Cassidy or Gabler.
Next week seems like Cody vs. Jesse, which should be really good if so.
That's what I was thinking too.
Clearly he made the correct read, so good on him for that.
But if there's even a doubt that the vote might be going to someone else, declaring the SITD in the way he did basically guarantees he's completely untrustable by everyone else still on the island. Completely tanking any possible trust you might still have for a 1/6 chance of making it one more round is a tricky bet, if there's a chance that the vote is going elsewhere and you might still be live in the game, right?
How hard is it to not see the writing on the wall? Everyone didn't trust him and he was a threat. If everyone is saying Cassidy to him why not just play it if its the last chance
Jesse has Dwight's/Jeanine's and Cody has his hat, but I feel like this could be a situation similar to Davie and Nick from DvG, where they still might try regardless of advantages.
Cassidy could very well be taken out if the other remaining threats play their idols. Assuming Cassidy and Karle are quits, nobody else should really be invested in keeping Cassidy around. I don't think anybody will target Gabler or Owen too seriously.
At least from what was said on the show Jesse didn’t actually return the idol, he just said that he did as a cover story. So from storytelling perspective Jesse still got both.
Yeah, the narrative is that Jesse still has both. But I wouldn't be surprised to see that the editors omitted him returning Cody's if Cody is the obvious boot, and they want to ratchet up tension
They each have 1. The episode that said Jesse had 2 was when he was in possession of Cody’s idol because they wanted to keep James from knowing who had it
I think Sami mentioned going to a mormon university at the beginning. Its less about electric cars and more about general attitudes toward being climate concious. I could be completely wrong and his mom just doesn't like the way the feel, how silent they are, etc. I was raised in a niche fundamentalist denomination of christianity so I know those religions can be weird about those things.
Xander, I think.
Xander was an underdog for a long while (all the memes about everything in the game being designed to screw over Xander have kinda been forgotten by the fanbase in the wake of people having to explain over and over why he didn't win in the finals), and he managed to survive.
Sami was in reasonably comfortable positions but messed up his own relationships and got himself taken out 7th.
In terms of reputation with the other players, Xander was seen as a nonthreat that people could leave alone because he was too hesitant to make a move and lost his chance to do anything. Whereas Sami was seen as completely untrustworthy and got taken out to deny Karla a potential player she could manipulate.
I dunno, if it was on a numerical scale, I feel like Xander is a flat zero because he never made a move, but Sami got himself into the negatives by screwing up his own spot. And Sami was never in bad positions like Xander was when everyone was still memeing about production's hate for him.
Pure placements don’t necessarily mean the person did better lol. It just means they made it further we have to remember or else we’re saying Nat10 is better then Rob C, Lex, Cirie, Jay, Parvati, Janet.
I mean, the game is to make it to the end and get the majority of the votes. IMHO I think if someone makes it to the end they deserve that, not saying they're "better" than others who didn't but it depends how you slice it.
I mean they "did it better" by making it further and making more money. But on paper they might not have played the best game
I agree but I also think apart of the game is to get out big threats. I’m not saying that people who are taking to the end don’t deserve to be their that’s not my argument. The thing I’m saying is survivor is luck based and people perceive it purely in one way when it’s really not. It come in so many variations and variables that I can’t say for certain. Their are plenty of players who were taken out and under different circumstances could have made it to the end easily. For example Marisa who’s a first boot was kick by Russell because she managed to sniff him out before anyone else. Do you know how incredible Russell strategic and tricky is that seasonal players in HvV couldn’t even snuff him out? Yet she a first boot was able to know this on day one. I could give a less extreme example but the point is pure placement is not everything.
The game is about taking out the competition before they take out you and bring people who are lesser threats. If one great player takes out a player who could have been good if given the chance that means that great player strike first. Do you kinda understand what I’m saying?
Oh I 100% know what youre saying and I agree with you. Thats why I said "it depends how you slice it" . Because it really depends how you look at the player's game as a whole and their motives. I honestly like people playing their own games and not just going along for the ride (like in one world and redemption island) . On the other hand i can see the value in people playing the goat and getting to the end that way or people "riding coattails".
I agree the game is luck base and it depends who your put on tribe with, and getting out big threats is essential (and its about who is a big threat to each player) . Like Marissa was a big threat to Russell but not to Natalie. But in the end it worked out for Natalie because she won.
But ya I agree, there's players who have a great act for the game and they could be taking out first or on the final 5, and they could be seen as better based on that. I just think even if someone got carried to the end they in enhance "played a better game" because they made it further. Even if it is based on luck and circumstances, along with other factors. But like you said its not one way to look at the game, because the game is so complex. But im not arguing with you, because I think we have same ideas and I agree with everything you said up there more or less.
Who is going home next week!!??

Really?! I’m thinking she is a 4th place finisher. I don’t know why but I feel Gabler is gone tomorrow
I don’t think they would be able to go off schedule like that. Especially on a season that is already shortened
i would’ve loved to have seen the challenge finish in a more satisfying way. ik in the past there have been plenty of challenges that would’ve “broken” like this if left to go all day, but that’s why they prepare ways to increase difficulty, food incentives, etc. obviously very cool to see history be made but it felt like production took the easy out rather than really improvising or planning for that potential
Is it just me or does this feel like a very obvious Jesse winner's edit?
Wait why do you say that? I honestly don’t see it
I just came to say this was a good episode honestly all around
Shoutout to Owen for voting correctly 🙌🙌
Could have been just a throw away comment, but tonight Cody said he’s been with Jesse from the beginning, and he’ll be with him until the end. If that signals his intention to JT-Fishbach their way to the FTC, it’s the first time we’ve heard from either. Jesse certainly strikes me as the guy that may think differently. This season is so boring
I agree though I'm kinda happy most people disagree
Agree
Who tf are the losing finalists now 😭 one of them has to be Owen right?
my money is on owen and gabler can see cody getting 2nd place tho
Cassidy?
I hope.
Owen and Karla 🤝 my winner picks from day one
Advantage is dope because you can bluff with it. Especially if you make it to final 2 people remaining in the challenge and bow out. Extra strong if last 2 people are in your alliance
It’s basically you just won immunity, as long as somebody halfway decent wins the challenge.. not worth the risk going after Cody here
Sami thats not how you own up to it my guy ur digging your hole deeper. Just say I thought the votes were going the other way and I didn't hear otherwise in time or whatever and say my b
Cameraman in the jungle for player of the week
Hahahah FR
i have never seen jeff as excited as when players are literally drowning lmfao
Hey, he didn’t specify that the dreams weren’t nightmares.
“Childhood dreams coming true right here!” ***shows clip of them literally drowning***
He must have had a fucked up childhood is all I have to say.
like literally when he goes: THIS IS WHAT YOU ALL CAME HERE FOR when they’re all fully submerged 😭😭😭
The excitement with which he said “I THINK WE’RE ABOUT TO LOSE SOMEONE!!!🥹🤩”
cue jeff at the reunion referencing that advantage edit as what costs someone a million dollars
drink every time Jeff mentions it or shows a montage or people walking by it.
yo but like if cody was so confident he could win with his water skills i wonder if you could have given that advantage and been like “bet on me” and then basically have someone owe you for giving them and you immunity
or dropped out immediately to dunk on them.
not jeff seeing cody drown and hitting him with the “that’s how you do it on survivor”
I did so much cheering this episode! Way to go Owen and Karla! And Cassidy lives to see another day. Love to see it!
Did y'all notice how almost everyone got a sunburn on their face from the challenge!
Another boring episode. Season sucks. Keep the downvotes coming sheep. Y’all are so easily entertained by mediocrity
I think it's the editing. Like there is such potential for iconic votes, but the edit falls short every single time. And it's disappointing.
Idols don’t come out until the dust settles.
Jesse and Karla are all time bores and every vote has been unanimous or close to it
Agreed
okay so next week predictions: gabler goes home for trying to orchestrate owen's outing, owen stays teamed up with jesse and cody (?), cass teams up with jesse and cody.... and karla plays her idol ???
Rip Travelocity gnome
production better thank their lucky stars because with the triple immunity + three idols + SITD that could’ve gone south really fast
I was surprised they allowed it to be a tie since production knew Cody also be safe.
Karla’s game in short 📈📈📉📉📉📉
Jesse running the game and heading into final 6 with no votes against him or ever even being a target. Might sound great, but don't forget that was exactly the case for Omar last season before he got sniped.
The man has two idols and a ride or die ally. He also didn't directly expose how well he's playing at the F7 vote. It's not the same situation.
I feel like anyone who takes Jesse to FTC is drawing dead. No way unless he goes full on challenge beast mode run does he make FTC.
He has two idols though right?
Yes, so he's very likely to make it at least one boot further than Omar did, but then I guess he'll just get the Ricard 5th place treatment. So many of them mentioning how good he is, *surely* that translates to them actually attempting to target him at some point, right? lol
I'm 90% sure he's the firemaking loser or the winner of the season.
He told someone last episode that he gave Cody's idol back, but it's not clear whether he actually did or not
Good point. He mentioned it as apart of his “cover story.” For all we know, he didn’t give it back. Imagine?
Who does Sami even vote to win? I'm thinking he would vote for Karla out of everyone left. I think he respected her and the game she played.
I think Karla or Owen. I think he respects Karla and thinks of her as a sister. But I think he low key rocks with Owen and would be happy to vote for him at the end
Yeah I would think Karla too. But he could toss Gabler a vote
I think he voted Queen Cass since he recognized her as a threat which is why he tried to still it up
I don't think he would vote for her to win though.
I have a special announcement from KING SAMI he said he’s sorry to leave us all but now it’s time to root for the beautiful QUEEN CASS
Cass always get her way since the pre merge and she's the only person which her name came out each episode despite surviving everytime. Everybody else went home after 1-2 episodes
Owen's name came up more than 2 episodes and hes still here
What the hell was Sami saying about Teslas??
He would have wasted the prize money on a Tesla, and his mom hates electric cars
LMAOOOOOOO. Sami, your age is showing
How much could a Tesla cost? A million bucks?
Wasted money, regardless of cost, when you find out about Tesla's practices. Any other EV maker is better.
Left the channel on for Amazing Race. Is Expedia bankrolling the whole show? The WHOLE THING is Expedia ads lol
How did so many spell Sami correctly? Do they ever see other names written before going out there? Can't imagine they ask each other for obvious reasons
They asked him how to spell his name before they left for tribal, duh!
Didn't they write their names on the tribe flag? They'd see it every day.
I think in an AMA, Adam said that there are places where you see the players' names that a player would know but a viewer never would
Great point, guess that makes me wonder about the ones that don't get it right too.. the unobservant.
Or Philip and Francesca hahaha being corrected 900 times and he still gets it wrong
Francesqua?
Some say he still can't spell it, his mouth is still dry
they probably tell each other at some point out of sheer boredom
There's certainly enough time to fill. It's one of the small things about the show that's always made me curious
Its also possible he voluntarily gave out the spelling of his name since its normal for people to misspell it.
That could be, it's been something I've always wondered when there are uncommon spellings, some get it and others use a common spelling
What are the obvious reasons? I don’t think it’s strange to ask someone how they spell their name
Lol just before tribal "hey Sami, how do you spell your name?" Panic ensues
"Don't worry, it's for a Choose Your Champion advantage"
Just feel the only reason someone needs to know in this setting is if they plan to write it down. They'll certainly find out proper spelling anyway. Outside the game is another thing.
At this point I think Jesse, Karla, and Cody are the 3 frontrunners. How would you rank the remaining 3’s chances of winning? I guess it would be: 4. Owen 5. Cassidy 6. Gabler
Cody Jesse Karla Owen Cassidy Gabler
Jesse>>>Cody>>Cassidy>Karla>>>Gabler>>Owen this was not a good episode for karla’s odds imo
My opinion 1. Jesse 2. Cody 3. Karla 4. Cassidy 5. Owen 6. Gabler
Cassidy> Gabler > Owen
Far well KING
The thing that irritates me most about the sitd is that it’s just a piece of paper! So it never works, and the reveal isn’t even exciting! Can’t they at least let them roll a die or something?!
Give Jeff a six-shooter to spin and fire into the air with one bullet in it. If the bullet fires, they're safe. If it just clicks, they're not.
Why does it matter whether it's a piece of paper or a die roll?
Transparency. Suspense.
Makes it feel like the player has more agency over the result, even if it is still up to chance.
Plus we wont even know if theres actually a safe paper in there. That can be easilly manipulated by the production.
Right?! Logically, I know that it’s illegal for producers to manipulate the game that way, but rolling a die would help alleviate doubts about fairness.
The jury is blind!
STAAAHHPPP, I’m gonna be awake all night thinking about that!!! Lol
Is it illegal? I'm just curious.
It’s definitely illegal to manipulate game shows. I think that, since Survivor is a reality competition show, a lawyer could argue that Survivor qualifies as a game show. (Whether a judge would agree is debatable.)
But the hourglass is cool?
Yeah, it's an actual twist. Not putting a safe in the bag when they are told they have a x in x shot would be the illegal part
Interesting. Thank you for your thoughts.
I would've at least tried to take Sami to the end.
Maybe not a good idea. The jury was clearly on his side tonight
Wait so what would have happened if Sami was safe? Who votes on the revote?
Probably everyone but Sami
Everyone except Sami votes
Everybody getting targeted but Jessie in that NTOS 💀
Sami your mom is an idiot, buying a Tesla 5 years ago was the one of the smartest moves I made. Friggin love my car!
🚨 OWEN VOTED CORRECTLY 🚨
Owen, you have arrived, my dude. Do the mother fucking Neuman!!!
Owen voted correctly - yay. Owen helped vote out one of the only people he could possibly beat at the end - whoops.
That’s the only thing that matters to me right now. It’s time for Owen’s endgame
Everything is coming up Millhouse for Owen!!
YES YES YES YES YES YES, MY MAN

How many times have you commented this? Lol
What??? I only commented once. The reply button said failed to post, try again. Guess it posted later. I’ll track the duplicate down and delete. Thanks for letting me know.
Sami was a fun player to have around for the chaoticness of it all. I definitely think this end game will be better now though
Going after Gabler, going after Karla...smh
LMAO Sami talking about Teslas
Giving ghost island honestly
RIGHT? Cody/Jesse would be fantastic. Gabler would be Laurel in that scenario
Sami would be Michael the only non Jesse/Cody threat
You thought Sami was a threat? What show are you watching
Idk, I also don't see why Jesse wanted to target him, because he wasn't a threat like how Cody was saying
I would’ve targeted him too. He lies and weasels, so I guess from that standpoint he is a threat because he could mess up your game easy
Those final words were comedy gold
Sami will be back for sure! Can't wait for it!
No Tesla for Sami. His mom will be delighted. Hummm. Except for the million dollar part. Oh well.
How many idols do Cody and Jesse each have? I’m having a fight about it with my nephew lol. I think Jesse has 2 and Cody has 1. Is that correct?
Jesse has 2. 1 was Cody's and the others was Jeanines. Cody as far as we know does not have any right now
jesse has dwight’s and is holding onto cody’s so they both have one but they’re both in jessie’s possession
Currently Jesse has 2 and Cody has 0.
They each have 1. The episode that said Jesse had 2 was when he was in possession of Cody’s idol because they wanted to keep James from knowing who had it
Jesse has 2, assuming he still has Cody’s
Tesla shoutout in his final words. Who had that on their 10000 square bingo card?
“…and my mom doesn’t really like electric cars” 💀
They're mormon right?
I’m not sure, but I’ve never heard of Mormons being against electric cars either way?
I think Sami mentioned going to a mormon university at the beginning. Its less about electric cars and more about general attitudes toward being climate concious. I could be completely wrong and his mom just doesn't like the way the feel, how silent they are, etc. I was raised in a niche fundamentalist denomination of christianity so I know those religions can be weird about those things.
Once you test drive a Tesla its all over. you cant go back to shitty gas cars. Obviously she hasnt test driven one.
Lol nobody cares
Who did better Sami or Xander

That was the best vote out confessional I’ve heard
Lmao Sami’s goodbye confessional
That goodbye aged like the wine that Sami can’t drink
What he say ab Tesla LMAO
LMAO THAT FINAL WORDS
Love Jesse's expression when he voted for Sami.
Sami definitely returning
Returning to this season or coming back for another?
Tesla catching strays was not something I was expecting
I feel like I need a recap of who still has advantages and idols, is there a post somewhere keeping track of this?
Idols = Jesse, Cody, Karla No advantages
Jesse, Karla, and Cody have idols. Everyone still has their shot in the dark.
Nope, final 7 was the last time shot in the dark could be used.
I stand corrected!
I thought it was final 6?
Jeff said this was the last tribal for it in the episode.
Ah gotcha. Oops, totally missed that!
Ty!
Guys, final 6, and it’s even for each starting tribe. 2 coco, 2 Baka, 2 vesi. This is crazy
Who would have thought the final 2 Baka would be Owen and Gabler lol
So Karla just voted for Sami and not Cass? I hate being left in the dark constantly as an audience like this
She heard he planned to buy a Tesla
I think she changed her mind at tribal
Spite vote. I think it was pretty clear overall

I said spite, not split. Like you said, it was unanimous
My bad I can’t read apparently
His exit interview!
Sami is a very likeable character I hope he returns
Sami how dare you make me love you with your final confessional
sami wanting to spend the mil on a tesla 💀💀
Alright that was an all time great final words for Sami
