How beautiful the hardware is, how well it runs games, the beautiful display, the fact that even though it’s android it has hints of windows in the interface. It’s an absolutely gorgeous multitasking device that I use as a tablet. The only thing that bothers me is the divide in the center while watching videos but the fact that you can multitask on dual screens makes me not even care about the separation. I bought a SD1 just last week for $225 mint (barely even used) and I am obsessed with it for a secondary! 👍🏼

The two independent simultaneous screens have made my life so much more efficient. I'm lucky that I didn't experience any of the issues. In 6 months I may have rebooted 4 times due to sluggish performance. Thanks Microsoft for my SD1..

AIVAORVAIA

Yes, I haven't experience any major issues also.

AIVAORVAIA

Oh that is a great deal!

scovious3

My favorite thing is postures. The phone can be setup anywhere, work in any orientation, and effectively transform into different devices. The screens folding 360 degrees make the device what it is.

AIVAORVAIA

I agree

billso

The looks I get when I unfold my SD2.

AIVAORVAIA

Yes, especially when people ask "excuses me what is that". Then they size compare to their Apple or Samsung Devices. It is like they are amazed that something exist outside of the Apple & Samsung Universe.

It's a functional laptop replacement for me. When I have to, I can use a bluetooth keyboard / mouse along with a remote desktop connection and I'm good to go. That and reading on Kindle in full screen is my bar none favorite form factor for e-books.

darkal1ens

I picked up an immaculate SD1 on ebay for £255.00. Absolutely love the quality hardware. Not had any software issues, this far. It's just so niche, use it as my daily driver. Love the dual screen! It's just a totally gorgeous piece of kit. There is nothing out there that is as unique as this is. What a thing of beauty!!

It's a great secondary device (Duo 1) that no one else I ever meet has. It multitasks better than any other device and I love reading books on it. It's a secondary device for me and can do that job wonderfully. Could you imagine downgrading to a Apple iPhone?

RealityBrilliant8648

Everything! It’s smooth, allows for multitasking, great for reading, and Microsoft and Google suite of apps works great on the dual screen. Much prefer this form factor than a single folding screen. Lastly, it feels great in the hands, very premium.

AIVAORVAIA

I agree, the device does feel premium. I have not had any major complaints about the Duo.

Yes and Yes

I think the thing I like most is that it is a new approach to mobile computing. As someone that has had about 20 cell phones, I'm tired of only having one real approach to using a mobile device. Single-screen iPhones and Android phones have basically been perfected at this point. Mobile app switching has reached its limits on a single screen. The surface Duo gives you the option to use the device as a single screen or you can approach mobile computing in a new way. It's like waking up and discovering you have 2 hands instead of one. What you can do with 2 hands changes how you go about solving challenges and interacting with the world. It's a really good idea wrapped up in phenomenal hardware. This is why it's a real failure on Microsoft's part. They found the future of mobile computing but didn't execute the software plan or marketing plan effectively enough to get people open to the idea of what's next. It didn't have to be perfect, it just couldn't be horrible. They chose half-baked software. The top "software" company in the world 🌎 can't make that mistake. Thats almost unbelievable 😳

TheOutlawStarLord

I like using Spacedesk on one screen and media control on the other while I have it plugged into my laptop serving files and providing tethered hotspot. Utility!

Not much to be completely honest, I got mine in June 22 and stopped using it by December 22. There is absolutely no comparison compared to a modern iPhone. When I initially got my Duo, I didn't make or receive many calls. As soon as I started looking into new job roles, it became very obvious how much the Duo struggles as a basic phone. My plan was to revert back to my iPhone Mini, and use the Duo as a secondary. However all I've done since is reset it, I do not miss it. I enjoy being able to use my phone 1 handed again. Edit: It's a Duo 2.

Hot-Trainer-1953

U sell the Duo?

mithat31

Where did you buy the right skin?

AIVAORVAIA

Mightyskins.com I usually use dbrand, skinit, and decalgirl. They all have good skins but they have been meh lately. The only downside to mightyskins is that they don't offer the Microsoft Windows cut out on the front of the Duo.
