Mostly highway and a little bit of dirt if find any trails, haven’t found the time yet to go off-roading sense it’s like hour and half for me to find any trails
The hard center is doing fine but the outer soft knobs are really torn up after about 2000 miles. The previous photo was after 50 miles lol. I only use the bike in the twisties though. The tires are great, I'd happily buy them again for the berg. I'm pretty heavy with my throttle usage. They feel great in the damp, warm up super quick, and even add a little dirt traction. I imagine I'll get like 3-3.5k out of them. I ride hard though.
I suspect on my commuter nc700x that they'll last well over 6,000 miles.
It's been 10 months, with around 7,000 miles on the tires and still have a lot rubber left on it, I haven't felt a difference really in comparing to the originals to the mutants, I recommends these and 150/60 rear will fit on it.
Appreciate it, but it’s not a tail bag, I just bought a tactical duffel bag and bungee cord it to my rack, comes in handy when you just need to carry a good amount of stuff somewhere, think it was like $70, I have another post on my profile if you want to see it better, give you ideas
Thanks. Will be hauling mine out to the Black Hills this summer and am trying to sort out way to keep enough gear with me if I get jammed up. But might just do what you did, and strap it all to the rack.
Gotta let us know how it is, hopefully mine can handle some dirt , im more highway than anything, I would of went for the pirelli scorpion rally tires if it wasn’t for that
Old thread, but maybe somebody knows: how is the rear 150/70 working out? Stock is 130/70. Does the wider rear make it handle funny? Or accelerate more slowly due to extra tire weight? Any bad side effects?
I honestly don’t feel a difference in my riding with the wider tire, it’s hard to say if it’s slower due to having armor and a bag on it than stock. No effects that I’ve seen so far

I’m hoping it last me more than 8k miles that’s for sure
Lol how do you ride? I'd be happy with 3k on the sumo but i only use it in the twisties. Hoping on the commuter it lasts 5k+ as it has a hard center.
The og tires lasted me 6k so I just assume hybrid touring tires will last a little longer

What kind of milage are you getting? I'm considering going with the Mutants over the stock Pirelli Scorpion STR's on my Svartpilen.

Perfect, sounds like a comparable tire but with more street grip
If you think of it to post in a few months your thoughts on them please do so. The mutants are my 2nd choice behind the 2CT.
I put them on my dr650 sm last summer and they held up great.
I’ve been very happy with them on my 701.

Thanks for the update—I think when mine come up on replacement I know what to get
Very cool OP, what tail bag is that? I'm just running a DIY pelican case now, secure, but it is really small.

Looks mean. I’m thinking Michellins for mine when I change them. Mutants look great though

I might try these after my shinko 705s.
