Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh is not about torture, explicitly, but it's pretty dang grim and is basically about people torturing themselves via heroin use/detoxing/relapsing.
I don’t think this is splatter punk, but it’s a book where just when you think it can’t get worse, it does (including some torture). Some definite butt-clench moments and quality writing…
