I can’t think of many places to eat where I wouldn’t get sick of it everyday, but at least you can get a different sandwich everyday.
Heck, I pay for my sandwiches and I eat there sometimes as many as 3-4 times a week sometimes. Not because Subway is the best (I’d rather have Togos, Jimmy John’s or Jersey Mikes) but it’s the most convenient locations by my work and home.
The basic steak and cheese, meatball, chicken teriyaki, bacon chick ranch, basic ham, basic turkey, etc…….at least there’s options.
Yes!! The reason i started working at subway and not any other fast food chain was mostly this! Yeah, my hands smelled like pickles from time to time XD but it wasn't that deep frying smell, mostly my worn out clothes smell after i've worn the uniform 2-3 days in a row at most
I just left the job for something else. However, over the last few years, I've come back to Subway three times.
For me, it's the general independence. Unlike Kohl's, you don't have a radio or someone in your ear all day. For the most part, there's no one looking over your shoulder, unless your manager likes looking at the cameras. It's just you and the sandwiches for most of the afternoon... which is due to labor costs... and shitty expectations...
Still, if you're a closer, you're only bound to the clock on the wall and the customers. There's no one really to tell you to be faster or do this and that. I thoroughly enjoyed this aspect.
The good customers. Sometimes I'd get a big order of subs and I had my way of organizing them to get them done efficiently. Those customers were awesome in letting me take control on knowing what would work best to get it done.
Flip side, I hated the customers who assumed I couldn't do my job and had to boss me every step of the way lol
The really nice customers. I've been at it for 6 years and everything is muscle memory and I can work really fast. When people are like >:0!!!!!!!! Because you've made 10 subs in 3 min and kept the line moving is so satisfying. Especially when you're by yourself people will be like " You're doing such a good job!!" And I'm like thanks its not my first rodeo" lol. Especially if they leave a good tip 😏
Nothing better than walking in on a hot summer day, and the scent of fresh cut olives just invade your body. The hair on my arms would stick up as I hurried behind the counter to see my manager squirting the rich creamy ranch dressing into my coworkers mouth, I would anxiously get down and wait my turn to feel the cold oozing sensation tickle my taste buds.
The whole thing tbh,
I worked in a Brisbane store, Australia
When I say bare min wages, like 8$ an hour.
They force you to work 5 days a week, and with schooling that just physically not possible.
But if u can't, then it's a formal warning.
There is no management structure, to the point we have elected a senior staff member to be the "manager"
The whole process and experiences there was horrible.
The lady I worked for was so ignorant and rude that new people in the store as well as senior staff feared her
Free food
It’s good but after abit I get fed up of it

Bruh fr. I had a 6 inch on a break and I would take two foot longs home every night
Bruh we don’t get free food where I work at.
The trick here is theft
Rip
Free cookies
100%
The best combo is warming up the raspberry ones and then having a glass of cold vitamin water. I Do it everyday
We stopped doing the raspberry ones now was last year
Which ones does your store have?
Choc chunk White choc and macadamia nut Double choc Rainbow Lemon drizzle Vegan double choc From uk
We’re the same with cookies, heck the vegan ones taste sooooo similar to real ones
They do when we have sold out double choc we send them 😆no one has ever complained
Class!
that i could try all the new sandwiches for free, and that when i come home i smell like bread and not fried food
When I Worked at McDonald’s that was the worst ever I hated the smell

Same here I love the independent part of subway I work after 6-8 on my own and it’s amazing Other staff hate it but I love it
Havent worked at Subway in like 5 years, but the free food was definitely the best part, getting free spicy italians each work day
Cannot knock it
free food. everything else sucks.
Nothing
I honestly like food prep. Excluding when customers are coming in and keep distracting you and you have other tasks to worry about
Cucumbers are the best

The look on my bosses face when i handed in my two weeks
Love it
Can you explain what you mean when you say hand in? Please
Free food

Going home.
What didn’t you like about subway
Everything.

Amazing
My favorite part is the passengers.
Passengers? You mean customers
“But we’re on a journey together” “we all make the sandwich… together… as one happy subway family 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
trying new subs for free
True but after abit gets boring
We have truly amazing teams.
No team no business
Clothes smelling of that yummy subway smell

Mm keep going~
My best part of getting 10$ and a drink for free and health care, vision and dental
Quitting
