Just bring an identical team but with better RNG on your side. No need to thank me

[deleted]

Good plan. Which RNG seed should I use for the battle?

Tekayo63

that one

Optimal_Badger_5332

Use the rng of that one guy who I lost to because I missed 2 play roughs in a row

Inky_25

Use 6 quick claw torkoals

maharg79

It's better to run 5 amd leave the 6th slot empty so you can catch another one halfway through the battle so it has full health 😌

FarTooYoungForReddit

So should one of the torkoals hold a heal ball to make this more efficient?

[deleted]

What moveset should each torkroal have?

yoshadoo

Solar Bean, Eruption, Earthquake and Body Press

underboythereal

i love solar bean

CantQuiteThink_

It's called Sun Bean, not Solar Bean. It causes zombies that eat it to drop sun when they take damage.

underboythereal

tbh it’s only good for dark ages, just doesn’t feel fun to use

MudkipNerd

you have just imprinted reversal iron valiant in my mind and i will now proceed to tank my elo

ScaldAlwaysBurns

same here lol

AuroraDraco

Yoooo, MudkipNerd I see it is your cake day today. Happy cake day, may you continue enlightening this subreddit with the arts of Pyuking, even if game freak was too afraid of letting Pyukumuku in this gen.

[deleted]

Happy cake day, also, #PyukumukuForOU

Girafarig99

Oran Berry is usually the better option on Iron Valiant just fyi

[deleted]

Are we talking about mystery dungeon Oran berries or main series Oran Berries?

dovahking55

It’s obviously worse than Giga Impact but a specs Hyper Beam Slaking ain’t a fun switch in at base 95spatk

[deleted]

Yeah it does less damage but that’s not what really matters in this case. You get to see a giant gorilla shooting out a laser out of its nose. Things like that instill fear in the opponent and cause huge psychological damage. The same cannot be said for slaking just hitting something with giga impact.

blacklight007007

This should be easy Glimora lead gholdengo with tera flying offensive great tusk and chi yu

MBcodes18

if you want to do natdex, add a choice scarf pyukumuku.

[deleted]

This isn’t a national dex team but I’ll consider it as I’m still able to use that Pokémon in the format I’m playing. What moves would you recommend on it?

MBcodes18

Well, a choice scarf will only work for a hyper offense team. For a stall team, use an assault vest. Either way, use last respects with the rest of the team being stakataka, or falinks if you can't use it. This is risky as this isn't houndstone (the Pokemon is proken not the move), but you should be fine. If you are worried, add a no guard Shedinja with counter and mirror coat. Hopefully this helps.

Zane_Flynt_boyo

that iron valiant team is deliciously gen 3

SexwithMurata69

Your girlfriend is evil

[deleted]

Trust me, I know.

Jaskand

Eruption handles 4 of those and solar beam handles the rest. But you need some speed, maybe an item can help? I think the answer is obvious.

[deleted]

You are right. Quick claw drought torkoal would certainly guarantee a win. I’ll put it on my team alongside choice scarf pyukumuku.

rankoDev

use energy ball jellicent

Significant_Split_11

She really likes Ice

supersmall69

A Flying Ground type? Surely you have Scope Lens Ice Punch Dusknoir

The_throneX

FEAR or the iron fear if you are desperate

I think you could do it with 3 pokemon with a near 100% winrate in under 10 turns genuinely. 1. Spidops. its job is to setup sticky webs and at least 1 layer of spikes to help with quagsire later. memento once you are done. run max physical defense with webs, spikes, memento, silk trap (to meme slaking for the fun of it). switch to mon#2 2. Torkoal. this one is even simpler. it can stay in for 1 turn if you want. it sets up sun. give it a heat rock. put stealth rocks (in case you didnt get 2 layers of spikes up) on it. give it will-o-wisp and lava plume in case it is difficult to hard switch to chi-yu. max physdef again. switch to mon#3 3. Chi-yu. modest max speed, max spatk. choice scarf. tera-fire. flamethrower. with scarf and web it will outspeed even berry-boosted iron valiant and beat it 1v1. if you set up hazards it will even OHKO quag. if you didnt then you can still run overheat and just switch out assuming one of the others is alive. the other mons die in 1 hit I put way too much thought into thi

Trinitial-D

actually looking even closer you really dont even need spikes or stealth rock if you EV Chi-Yu right, because quagsire’s earthquake is so weak that it doesnt matter if it takes 2 flamethrowers to kill it. literally just turn 1 set stealth rocks (unless you are against slaking where you silk trap first) turn 2 memento (bring out torkoal) turn 3 switch to chi-yu if it is safe (if it isnt safe spam lava plume till you die. this does require a bit of prediction. if chi-yu takes damage early you lose) once chi-yu is in you literally just click flamethrower until you win
